I shared the tie with a buddy who is getting married next week. He wants the entire wedding party to wear this knot. Now to buy enough black and white ties and show your video. I really think this evening wedding will be a classy Novotny affair. Thanks Patrick!
This is NEXT LEVEL, and is recommended for anyone who wants to make a serious splash. I've worn it several times, and it's like being a Movie Star! People want to talk to you just to see it - it's an INSTANT ice breaker, and you'll distinguish yourself in the best way. Presently my favorite knot.
Sir, I cant begin to tell you, this right here just elevated the tie game to another level.. I am a big fan of the Eldridge, and you go and introduce another level!Brilliant......
As a guy that wears ties for my job, i love this knot. My suggestion is to try a double trinity knot. It uses the same technique as the original trinity knot, but when done right, it has a mesmerizing fanned look to it. This is just what I found out from playing around.
I actually figured it out before the tutorial, and it wasn't too difficult. But I will admit, whoever thought this up is either sinister...or genius...
Toa Takanuva I've been wanting to do this how to tie a double eldredge tutorial for a while it just took me a bit of time to figure it out so it looks symmetrical. Your instagram posts motivated me to figure it out faster. Thank you.
Awesome. For years I have had to tie the four basic knots, because they are the only ones used in the Army. Now that I work as a Career Counselor I am trying different knots. I like this double knot, as below I believe you could tie almost every knot using a double configuration. I will work it. Thanks
jerome smith First and foremost. Thank you Mr. Smith for your years of service and the personal sacrifices you and other service men and women have given. If I was still in uniform I would salute you. I hope you are enjoying and some of the options I have been able to share. Yes, the double configuration is possible for many knots which I will be working on in the near future. I just figure the Eldredge knot would be a good place to start :) Take care and thank you for watching.
I haven't figured out the Eldredge knot yet, but I'm sure I'll be tackling both soon… I used the Bouttoniere knot for my prom night and it truly was a complete success! Thank you Patrick! And happy New year!
Thanks for another tutorial brilliant instructions. I do 3 different ones a week and my tutor loves them, keep up the great work and can't wait for the next one
Honestly I love dis one... and the colour combination is seriously nice... red and white... I want a suggestion... I have a small tie... its not lengthy... what types should I try with it??? Plz help if u don't mind Patrick Novotny...
+Russell Bob If you are using two ties to tie a knot be mindful of the thickness of the fabric as not to create a bigger knot than it already is. Are you buying a tie for a special occasion? This will help me guide you with what pattern or color might be most appropriate for your audience.
definitely the hardest knot I've learned from you yet, took me 4-5 times to do it right, but very rewarding when finished Thanks for your instructions, they're great!
+Patrick Novotny (The Tie Guy) One question for you. When I finished it, the left side of my tie (left as in near my left arm) was noticeably larger than the right side which threw off the symmetry of the knot a bit. Do you know why this happened and what I can do to make it more symmetrical? Thanks again man!
+Stephen Velner Tying it really tight will help and massaging with your thumbs from the back will help bring out the smaller side. Unfortunately, it doesn't come out perfectly symmetric even though I have seen great examples on instagram that look balanced.
I wore this knot to a national conference for my fraternity and it got rave reviews. I sent everyone your way so hopefully you'll see an increase in subscribers soon. Thanks for all the great content.
Douglas Davis Thank you Douglas and it's great news to hear every time folks appreciate what I do and I love that you got so much attention for it. Thank you for all your support Sir.
This is amazing, I will be sure to tag you on how I execute this; a pocket square to match one of the ties while a lapel flower matches the other and probably colored socks that picks all the colors
This is awesome! Every friday in my highschool we have "fancy fridays" which means tie or bowtie for both girls and boys. I'm so gonna do this tie on friday.

Thank you Patrick for showing me this awesome knot. I used it on my wedding last friday 21 august and i got alot of reactions about how cool that knot is. Too bad i cant show you the result but I used an off white and soft pink to tie my knot. You made our day!!
I've realized how difficult it can be to actually come up with a knot that requires 2 ties. But back in 2017, just before Thanksgiving, I created a tie knot that requires 2 ties. I hope I can show it off on my TH-cam channel soon. 👍
@@PatrickNovotny I'll definitely try to see what I can do. It might be a bit of a process, but I'd like for you to show off the knot on your channel as well if you'd like.
***** I can't find your other comment in my list, but here it goes anyways. I don't know how to tie it, but I think the only way of finding out is that to search for "how to tie a stock" I think that's what it would be called today to figure out how to tie it. If I had one I would make a video :)
Congrats! I am really impressed! I don't know why but until the release of this video I thought it had Tobe a design or a reversible tie... But really? 2 ties? I wonder what your next step will be :-D I am not sure if it looks good on skinny people like me because it looks big but maybe finishing at the red layer could be a solution... Thanks man... You couldn't have a better way to finish this year but with a knot like this
***** My thoughts exactly with finishing the year off with a crazy new idea. If I'm reading you're suggestion correctly I think you might have a solution to have the darker colour on the outside/behind layered with a thinner/brighter coloured tie in the front to draw attention to the middle tie. Thank you so much Jose and I wish you the best for 2015.
Nice job Patrick, I also like the wijk not as well but this idea could it be done with multi color ties or does that kill the look. Again great job! Derek
Patrick, to save material, I tied this knot using a tie from edietty.com and just fed two skinny ends through the loop. 1 tie, two skinny ends. It worked pretty well. Plus if you had a couple of those ties, you could really mix and match the colors.
Impressive! Thank you for all these videos I love wearing ties and thanks to you I always have something new to try. What knots do you recommend for thicker fabric ties?
Fernando Rivera I think a double Eldredge knot will be too big with thick fabric ties. I would try the Trinity knot, Van Wijk knot, Ediety knot, a Cape knot is easy to do, a thick fabric tie makes a Harlequin knot look dominant, I think it would would perfect for a Tulip knot. I would follow the rule of thumb if choosing knots with less moves simply because you are more like to run out of material and they tend to make the knot very big. I often use them for demonstrating in my videos hoping that it's easier to see and follow along even though I don't all ways get the length right :) Thanks for the great question Fernando.

Best tie knot ever and I've been wearing ties for over 70 years!🤩
Thank you.
I wore this tie the other day - got lots of complements! I've tried a different knot every time I wear a necktie now. :) Thanks for your videos!

Whoever invented this is a Jedi master of tie knots
I actually figured it out before the tutorial, and it wasn't too difficult. But I will admit, whoever thought this up is either sinister...or genius...
Alfredo Fuentes II Perhaps the inventor will reveal themselves to us and teach us more of their secret methods.

I often use them for demonstrating in my videos hoping that it's easier to see and follow along even though I don't all ways get the length right :) Thanks for the great question Fernando.

isnt that uncomfortable, or too bulky? Im still having a rought time with the regular Eldrege, but I'll give it a go. Where can you find a good selection of ties for this? Great tutorial!
