We tried!!
Good job. Nice to see the whole family dedicated.
Well, you did have several moments allowing the kids to learn new skills, and that takes time, but those are invaluable life lessons and memories made. 💜Good work!!
Yep, but I don't mind those slowdowns.
Still very impressive and it’s great to see the entire family helping out. Great job everyone!
Whew!!!
I am exhausted just looking at you all! 👏👏👏
Us too!
Every step forward is a win!
Honestly, even with help that would have taken me weeks.
The nursery is really coming together! You all have done an amazing job so far!
Thank you so much!
Yes, it looks fantastic.
Wow! You move fast!!😄Great job everyone!
Thank you! 😄
Heck, you had a busy day and a whole lot done. Very nice. I'll bet by the time I finish typing this you'll have that new house filled. And I thought I got a lot done setting up my yard for the growing season. Nice to see the little ones getting involved.
They really help us get things done!
The explanation about being the third arm was so cute. Loved it
He has a way with words.
First video I watched where I heard your first name. Keep up the good work.
good hustle
I love how you all work well together keep the videos coming I love watching them I hope you will do a nice long video of opening day even if you have to pay someone because in years to come you will smile and look back. LOVE YOU ALL Greetings from Australia.
You are all awesome. Love this working family. You all seriously rock!!!
I have been dreaming about having some gothic high tunnels built for me.
I purchased two 14x50 tunnels from farmers friend over a year ago and they laid in wait on the pallet they were delivered on. Happy to report that two of my wonderful neighbors came to my rescue and put them up this very weekend. It would have taken me a very long time to build them otherwise. So folks if you don’t have a strong and dedicated family to help, ask a neighbor or friend if they know someone that would work with you. Dreams do come true.
I’ll be watching the savvy family this weekend while working in my very own high tunnel 😂.
Keep up the good work. You inspired me. ❤️.
Great! There's always a way
Good job working together to get it done.
The amazing family of SUPER HEROES !!!
Yes!! Thank you
So fun to watch! Huge accomplishment for one day.
Wow. You all did great! You have a beautiful family ❤️ A suggestion would be to wear safety glasses when you're cutting that metal. My husband got a metal shard in his eye and it was not a fun experience ☹️
uggghhhhh.... depends on what I'm doing, but I try to remember to. I don't always, for sure
That was awesome! Love to see the family all pulling together. Such a Blessing Savvy!
Great job. And also, great job by the editor!!!!! Well done presentation.
Thank you very much - trying to get better
Very Impressive, that's the whole family. I was pulling for you.
Great video guys👍 you were so close! You gotta be proud you got so much done in 1day. Thanks for sharing
Awesome work! Those Odem brownies look delicious...
Indeed
Great job! Amazing family and teamwork!
I had a26 foot house delivered yesterday!
If I lived closer, you'd have some free labor, but Oklahoma is a little far to drive. I'm modeling my new farm set up and small permaculture nursery after your example. I'm also putting in an elderberry farm, but that's still in the propagation stage. Safety glasses would be handy while drilling the pilot holes in the wire channel.
Great group effort. No injuries.
If I may a few tips if you ever do this again. Premark all all pipe bends at one time. Get John and others nail aprons, get yourself an 3/8 drive attachment for impact driver(no ratchet wrench). Plywood or partial board on the ground work off of a mechanics creeper and scaffolding pre load scaffolding.
Great team work enjoy the time together your building memories .What's the rush. Great job guys I enjoyed this. Thank you
Good tips. Sometimes I let the kids do things the long way so they can get used to using hand tools. I do need some deep sockets for the impact driver for sure
@@savvydirtfarmer your doing great
Good job everyone, glad to see the kids learning different skills which may benefit them as they get older. So far the shade house looks great!! Looking forward to seeing the next video. 👏👏👏👏👏
You have a beautiful family. God bless you all. I just found your channel since last week and I really enjoyed watching it. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I will share your channel with my friends and family. Have a wonderful day.
Thank you!!
Love your energy ❤️
Wish I had more!
Awesome job savvy crew.
Can’t have too many! Haha👍😀
Great job family,great video too😎
Great video! You are a wonderful family, all working together like that! I’m excited to see your backyard nursery progress this spring.
Lookin good
I see the effort you put into the production of this video. Good work!
We're trying to get better!
@@savvydirtfarmer I assure you we're here for the content not the production quality, so don't stress too much. As long as your content stays great I'm sure your channel will grow 👍🏼
Very impressive. You should be proud.
We're getting there!!
hey, I'm loving the channel and appreciate all the videos you're putting out to share your knowledge. have you considered taking a permaculture design class? I think you would be an amazing asset in the world of permaculture growers. all the best, keep up the great work!
Never thought about it. I really don't know anything about that world.
@@savvydirtfarmer I know it will be a very busy time of year for you, but as the season begins to wind down, I'd encourage you to look into to. it's all about reducing labor inputs and getting higher yields) some of the practices I already see you doing such as using shade cloth to reduce evaporation.
keep up the great work and thanks again for all you are sharing with the community.
Two Questions: 1) What is the width of this shade house, 40 feet long but how wide? 2) will you leave it as a gravel house floor or put down a fabric floor? Your family pulls together - as parents, yal are raising your kids the right way. My compliments!!!!
20x40. Probably leave the gravel floor... although weeds can be annoying, for sure. Thanks so much for the kind words!
@@savvydirtfarmer do you ever see wood chips floors that work out well?
@@waynepruett7682 I;ve not seen a wood chip floor... could work. Could be a great place for pests to thrive??
Can you tell me where to find the soil conditioner you use in your soil mix, I have searched all our local stores. Lowe’s, Home Depot. Thanks
I've bought a ton of it at Lowes. May not be available in your area. Garden centers, mulch yards, etc are worth checking as well
Ok, thank you,
💚💚
Inspired by your example we have started our own Nursery in SW Missouri...Zone 6b. I used electric PVC and have framed out a 20 x 40 shade house...I was wondering what level of shade cloth do you use? 20% 30% 50%. I could really use your help or anyone experienced who reads these...Many thanks in advance...
I use 50% for most things. If all I can get is 40, I'll use it. Same for 60. I may cover some evergreens this year with 30 once it gets really hot, just to help with watering some.
@@savvydirtfarmer 50 is what I was guessing but really assuring to hear you say it. Most kind for you to reply. I am ordering as soon as I get off here...again THANK YOU!! As someone who take his Christianity to heart...Lord Bless and guide you and protect your family.
Where is your kit from
It's all DIY. Check out this video that shows the parts and process. th-cam.com/video/pSd6RSJWOfQ/w-d-xo.html
Are y'all ok? the storms that came thru Friday night?
We're good. Small tornado touched down nearby, but no injuries, thankfully.
What are the approximate dimensions of width and height?
20x40
About 10’ tall
My husband watches you on TV and does not know how to subscribe 😮.
The whole Savvy Dirt Family was working today Where are you located? Would it be stalking to want to come out and see your operation? I grow some plants from cutting and have aspirations of having a small nursery business.
Far NW Alabama
Nice job I was wondering if you could tell me where you live and how hot it gets in the summer and does the shade cloth really keep it cooler I have a 52 x 26‘ high tower and I am contemplating if I should put on my plastic this year because it got so hot in there last year. I couldn’t do anything. I couldn’t have anything in there in the summer months.
North Alabama. I don't know that the air temp is lower, but the sun isn't near as oppressive and there is a clear, visible different in the health of the plants. Also, uses less water, as evaporation is slower without full sun.
😊thanks for your response if you ever want a 26 x 80 foot hoop house already to put up the same way but no cutting or bending and the same structural integrity I have 3 or 4 left price is 3500 but I’m in Oklahoma to pick up . Have a blessed day .
