lego using the "if everything is overpriced, then nothing is overpriced" tactic
Bro is fr speed running reviews
Fr
@@tinytrexgaming2649yeah he’s at a speed disadvantage since Lego doesn’t send him sets like those in the LAN
@@BIOHAZARD_V2I thought MandR was in it. It would make sense considering his channel size
Type sh*t
@@BIOHAZARD_V2hi, could you explain me what is LAN?
Hey Lego, as a man in his 40’s, I gotta say I’m about done. Priced out, can’t justify paying so much. Spin it however you want.
There are alternative brands that are as good as or better than Lego now and usually much cheaper. You won't get Star Wars, but there are tons of other fun things to build.
It's Disney that sets the price.
@ nah it’s Lego , they have to pay the Disney tax but they set their own prices.
Greed has almost killed it for me. Everything we get is smaller, less minifigures and more expensive. I think I’ve reached the point where after I get the stuff I wanted as a kid but missed out on it’s time to pack it up
Well theres cobi or mega construx.
My friend was once in a dark place. I found him one day drunk. Trying to cheer him up, I showed him the new Lego sets coming out.
He saw the prices and shot himself
That was dark. But probably accurate! He certainly was :D
@@SO-ym3zsunless he was a stormtrooper.
So dark, but I would be lieing if I say I didn't smirk at this 🤣
The only thing I don’t like about this set is that it’s probably going to be forgotten by the community pretty quickly, which really is an injustice because I think it’s stellar and would LOVE to see more stuff like this.
Make Lego Affordable Again!
it was never really affordable - your parents just paid for it
@@Alex-zi1nbJust a few years ago everything was almost half the price of what they asking now
Again?
@alterego2275that’s literally everything you buy now though. Lego is greedy but prices have pretty much doubled on everything
0:09 2 days 2 videos each he is on an absolute roll
2:45 The dark red is on the original Home One model. It really doesn’t show well in RotJ, but it is a part of the coloration.
Fair enough then.
$70 is insane
This looks like a really good set! But it’s just that Price though! Too expensive!! Come on LEGO!
People keep buying, so they keep charging. As long as Lego is making big profits, which they are, they have no reason to change. I spend more money on other brands now so I actually get my money's worth.
Yes you’re right there’ll always be people who will but it either way! But i’m glad you’re getting your money’s worth with other things!
I knew Ryan was chill like that
Hope they make a Venator and Imperial Star Destroyer in midi scale. A munificent-class star frigate would also be awesome
A guy named crazydog17 on TH-cam has a well designed moc of the munificent that’s scaled near-perfectly to the official invisible hand. I have it, and highly recommend it! He also has a Recusant, also in the same scale that looks awesome
I was going down to read other comments. The first two ships I also stated in my comment. Lego hates making money I guess. lol
@@itsKtoday I wonder if since they make UCS and playscale versions if it's either not a priority or they won't even make them. But having all four main capital ships would really make a lot of sense to have.
@@benbot5173 I've seen that vid I thought about building it myself. The Recusant is awesome and very underrated
@@matthewb0100 he builds and tests his instructions before posting them, so they’re pretty sturdy models. He’s also working on an mc-80 Mon Cala ship and a venator at the moment, which I’m looking forward to
The little baby a wing is adorable
This many reviews in 3 days, It’s a festives miracle!
Ironic how satisfying these small builds are. Loved the Tantive and SSD. This is another contender. Wish I could get a Nebulon.
Jabba sail barge comparison when? Great vid as always tho 😁
i hope they can make another home one playset
Another fantastic mini scale ship to aquire. These sets are bringing me back to collecting more as the ucs sets are getting to be a little much. I can buy almost the entire line of current mini scale for the cost of one ucs set. Great review.
I always dreamed of a midi scale line of sets but they are all so beyond my financial range all i have left is watching these reviews
This thing is an absolute beauty. Return of the Jedi was always my favorite Star Wars movie, that's going to look so good next to my Executor.
Please take a second look. It's at least a third too short in length.
1:10 this gets me excited for the set more than anything! One thing the Starship Collection is doing right imo is having fun builds. Weird gaps aside, the Millenium Falcon midi scale is possibly the most fun I've had with building a Star Wars set recently
Interesting fact: some of these mini scale ships like home one and invisible hand have some inspiration from their sky Walker saga, because I think the design of the home one looks exactly the same from SS, but mini scale, kinda explains the red on the home one better
I want a UCS Home One.
Ryan you have to make a video talking about leaked $1000 Death Star. As well as the other 2025 summer leaks that just came out.
I wish they would make Lego Mon Calamari Star Cruiser, I mean they made the Imperial Star Destroyer many times
It is kinda hard to build and is not nearly as recognizable as the Star Destroyer.
I´ve been waiting for some unbiased opinions so thank you very much for your vids
you rarely mention the build experience so when you do it must be really interesting to put together
God this ship is awesome. It’s always been my favorite capital ship in Star Wars and I’m definitely picking up one or two
I’d love a UCS Home One
I think this is my favorite Midi Scale. I really like it.
Very epic! :D
its *mini* scale.
@@alexander1485 Mini-Scale is actually correct.
Imo this and The Invisible Hand clear the other ships, just the price is awful on this one :/
back to back midi reviews sheeeeeeeesh
the mini hanger looks so cool
it would only possible with this kind of big stick ships
Ill definitely buy this one but until amazon/target have it for at least 20% off
2:36 now there's 2 of them
I look forward to displaying this next to the playset from 2009
2:36 : “ This is getting out of hand , now there are two of them ! ”
Ryan we need an update on those INSANE rumors that came out today. Insane insane insane.
I believe all midiscale ships should come with an appropriate minifig
There's the thing that this line of midi-scale builds does where they use very bright and colourful pieces for the hidden interior parts of the build. It's great for building as it makes the instructions much easier to read rather then a bunch of grey.
I do wish that for builds like this and the Acclamator that have openable sections that they would not have the bright colours visable in those areas though. The bright pink bricks visible stick out and don't belong, as are the Technic pieces that hold up the Acclamator's wings.
I want this one
I bought it, but I adjusted it slightly I rotated it on the stand so the single hanger bay shows in the front. I also moved the frigate towards the front and adjusted the angle of the strut to bring it closer to the home one. I want to print stickers to decorate the inside areas better. Might want to change the Asoka area into a briefing room scene.
Grogu & pram review for the full house Ryan?!
Hm, if the label wouldn't tell you what this is supposed to be, you would never know, it's that ship. And the price... well, at least there are some other companies out there, with higher brick quality, higher model quality for one third of the price. It's sad, but Lego's time seems to be over.
This looks good would like to see a cargo transport ship on the other side or a tentative iv ship
We need a midiscale lucrahulk
in defense of the coloring, its a reasonable choice, we don't see the home one immediately after any of its battles and one would assume patch jobs may be rather large and miss colored
Love these videos been making a mini collection and these ships are really nice to me hopefully I can pick up the 25th year falcon even though theyre EXPENSIVEEE
I used to think that owning a luxury bag was an unattainable dream, until kislux told me that this dream is actually very close. The sense of fashion comes not only from the brand, but also from personal matching and attitude.
So I have been told for what seems like a decade that we are switching to paper bags and I have built hundreds of sets in that time and call it coincidence, luck of the draw, different region of the world or country, but I have only seen 1 paper bag in all that time and it was in the sail barge, so I have to wonder how committed Lego is to the switch.
$70 is crazy work
This set is crying out for an Admiral Ackbar mini fig on the stand. Crazy missed opportunity seeing as his head mould is currently in production for the Jedi Bob star fighter
Ask mandr: Is there still a plan to make a coruscant gunship recolor vid because you’ve talked about it before
Let's go!!!❤🎉
Luckily I get discounts as a Disney employee
70€ is crazy
Oh yes, the Home One. I remember this ship from…Star Wars.
It looks like a neat build and I like these midi scale ships, but this ship doesn’t really grab me. I’ve probably seen Return of the Jedi 50 or 60 times and this ship never once stuck out to me or was memorable in any way (maybe I’m just too much of an X-Wing and Millennium Falcon basic fanboy to notice other ships, that’s fair), so I have no reason really to get this. I like that it’s a quality set for the people who do want it, though. I have the midi Falcon and it’s an awesome set.
Another one I need, wish lego do a UCS dreadnought ship
Day 6 of asking mandr to review the jek-14 sets
Covered up the QR code...pretty sneaky siss.
Need my $0.15
My set was missing a piece so I’ll have to wait for it to be delivered by Lego. I really wish they’d release that Nebulon B set though. Having it as an event exclusive absolutely SUCKS as it’s my favourite Star Wars ship design.
As major star wars fan i can say..... if I wasn't told this as a Home One i couldn't have guessed it. Sad seeing this build.
I would love a ucs home one
I wish it had an alt build for an MC-80 mon calamari ship
HI MandR!! Love your channel!!
Ok MandR, I did some digging the Home One does have dark red but it's on the Star Wars Armada game piece Home One not the one seen on screen.
LEGO could have given us some new curved round pieces for the front section of the ship.
I think this ship needs to be made in to a UCS set it the most iconic ships for the rebels
Difficult ship to build from blocks at a small scale, done well in my view
I would argue that the Home One would work as a play set. Becaus of it’s shape, you wouldn’t have to sacrifice much aesthetic to incorporate the interior, kinda akin to Jabbas sail barge in design
Cool
Home One not iconic enough for UCS set? While the Venator is iconic enough for UCS set? Seriously?
Make a video on the $1000 Death Star leak
70 dollars with no figure is crazy
the sith infiltrator has more pieces and 4 minifigs with the same price. lego making the previous overpriced sets look like a deal
that looks wonderful 0:
i was really looking forward to this set but unfortunately my experience was marred by multiple missing pieces
Should I get this or the Tantive IV 🤔
WHY DID YOU MAKE THE GROGU SET MEMBER ONLYYY!!! HOW DO I JOIN THE MEMBER THINGYYY
From your reviews, it seems like the acclamator is the only one to have plastic bags from this wave? Weird
I need a ucs or play scale model
Ask M&R: For all of your January 1st reviews, you had paper bags. Does this mean paper bags will be coming to the U.S. in 2025, or did you get those seats overseas?
Am I the only one that thought this set was much smaller then this???
more fair price would be 60$ but if lego wasnt that greedy i could accept a 65$ price for this
I want a Venatorr, I don’t have space for the ucs one
2:33 This is getting out of hand! Now there are two of them!
WHEN IS WORST TO FIRST I NEED IT
yk i just looked back into your channel after maybe 2 years or so, didn't lose interest in you but rather lego starwars and lego as a whole. came back to watch your arc-170 review (2025 version) and i'm just disappointed, seems like prices are still rising, ships are still shrinking, details are dwindling, just overall sad to see lego continue down the very route that caused me to quit buying.
raising price SHOULD = a premium product which lego has marketed itself for years. you should either pick raising price or cutting corners, they're doing both lol
on a side note your channel is still very enjoyable, keep up the good work ryan!
I wanna know the piece list and instructions for this one. So ist can build it for a reasonble price
I Just wonder. What does that gold ingot in front of ackbar means? Hidden easteregg? I cant figure it out.
If can choose one of them all starship collections, which one would it be ??
If you could choose one starship from an entire collection, which one would you pick?
Invisible hand if you like prequels, executor for OT
Executor. Best looking midi, then millennium falcon but that’s quite overpriced
I got the Tantive IV and Millennium Falcon but im passing on this years sets. I really want a imperial star destroyer or venator but like the size of these mini scale sets!
I dont understand why lego hates to give collectors what they want guess they hate making money. 🤷♂
Good eye blocking out the QR code
The set is good. but still, in my personal opinion, even the photo in the instructions shows that there are large bulges on top of the ship on which the captain's bridges are located, and damn it, lego did not make these bulges big enough. The top of the ship looks flat, not like in the movie, and that makes me sad because I know that legos could have done better(
These mini scales ships would sell out even more if they had minifigs. Imagine having an Admiral Piett* minifig w the executor, Admiral Ackbar w the Home One, and a Captain Antilles w the Tantive 4? For the same price ofc
5 mins ago is crazy
rap rat is cool
Had to watch it at .95 speed lmao
Why is your Nebulon B Frigate missing its antenna thing? It looks like it's falling apart! For shame sir.
I hate how expensive everything has become. It makes no sense.. I just can’t justify paying so much for..plastic lol
So what we see. Less bricks more expensive 😡
I’m just about done with Lego which I hate to say, I’m by no means a collector however I will buy the stuff I wanted as a child but missed out on. It’s a shame corporate greed has just about killed it off. Sets are more expensive, smaller, and come with less minifigures. I understand the Disney tax, and paying for stores, employees, marketing etc. but at the end of the day it’s plastic. That’s it… it doesn’t come prebuilt, you build it yourself while paying a premium
Of course I understand building it is part of the experience lol but felt like it was worth reminding y’all that we put it together ourselves… there’s a reason you pay less money for furniture that you have to build yourself lol
Not all lego is overpriced. Lego speed champions is in my opinion the best value series (even those are getting price increases) but star wars is notoriously overpriced. Just yet another reason along with the billions of reasons to hate Disney
