Walkers, my favorite vehicles in Star Wars. If only we had walkers here on Earth. I know the vehicle manufacturer Timberjack built a walker prototype, but that wasn't really a military walker, and John Deere later aquired Timberjack. It's a bit sad we haven't developed military walkers here on Earth, it sure would make a few join the military
Think about this though....in order to have civilian or military walkers, you would HAVE to have some kind of deployment system.....with that being said what we really need to develop are LAAT's. The chicken must come before the egg in this scenario
@@edwardstevens80I don’t get why we can’t just make them small nuff to fit into current deployments tech? If we can do it with m1 abrams, why not something that size with legs?
Legs are just a worse form of movement compared to wheels and tracks we've found. Believe me, if it were better, the US military would of made it by now.
The were on the underside of the ship and i think all of the stuff in between the round armor is just for structure, even then the absolutely raw dogged the engines so that atleast would have been something
The AT-AT also had a pivotal rear armor flaw... If you remember the intestinal worm launcher lmao... Being a lifelong Star Wars fan it was one of the funniest things I have ever seen in my entire life
walkers are a particular topic for me because I like tanks and walkers are the star wars equivalent, but I swear they weren't as effective as they should have been, like there are some designs that use shear firepower to overpower the enemy but most of the time whatever their facing is much faster and could avoid casualties if they are able to slip through, and the fact that there wasn't any sort of infantry made them even more vulnerable the ATTE on the other hand was I think the best design not only because of its multi-purpose role but also that its small enough that it can support its clone infantry which was always around
I've been watching some WW2 vids lately and it might have been a nice touch if the Clone War vehicles had a progression of "trial by fire," like with tanks, fighters and helicopters in WW2. Like how the Germans first had ONE model of tank (Panzer), then as time progressed, they developed a slightly better (Panzer 2) and better tank (Tiger). Same thing with, say bombers, first it was the B-17, then the B-24, then the B-29, gradually getting better and better after seeing what worked. And what would have added even more depth of setting would be seeing Clone Wars battles where you might see three DIFFERENT kinds of the same walker : 3 of the latest models, 6 of the most common models, and like 2 of the oldest, but still-in-service models, possibly with different colored parts. There might have been one or 2 episodes where you kinda saw that...but I cant remember. It's not a big deal at all, and would definitely have been more work, but ALSO might have brought in more merchandise money in terms of being able to sell a newer toy with the same purpose with every season.
0:01 the reason there are no multi turret tanks now is that when they were crewed, the spotter/commander struggled to give orders to all those gunners, loaders and the driver
Great video now i start to wonder how kuat drive yards developed to the size that it is able to supply vechicles to one of the biggest armies in the galaxy during war
I feel like you could still make a mine to take out the ATAT Have it launch it's payload up and then explode into the reactors. Like a bouncing Betty mine ore a vertically pointed rpg
I will have to say the walkers militarily are terrible for the battlefield. Ecstatic wise and lore wise they're pretty 😎❤👍🏾💯. Anyway, really love the video.
2:14 I noticed you said the acclimator carried 16 hundred troops when it’s actually 10 times that they carried up to 16 thousand clone troopers which is why the battle of geonosis had all 200 thousand units ready with a million more well on the way
I’m pretty sure there are carrier variants of the acclamator, and considering that the fighters and bombers would almost certainly be atmospherically capable, yes
I would make a comment about how the writers of this stuff you sourced here might be clueless if the AT-AT having a carrying capacity of a ton (less than a big moving truck,) is even reasonable, much less accurate for a vehicle of that size. But then it said that huge piece of military technology had a price tag of only 150,000 credits and now I'm absolutely certain they had no idea what they were talking about when it comes to this kind of stuff. In the US, we pay _billions_ for jets, boats, etc. that we tax payers have already paid the development cost for in grants, thus the company has no development costs to try and make up.

2 and a half hours of the Star Wars vehicles that never skip leg day. Cool!
Leg day? Nah they got limb day!
HA
The existence of this video shows how you understand how my brain operates on a fundamental level.
They all have super skinny legs compared to their body wym lol 😂😂
I always use these to help me fall asleep and it’s very nice having a vid long enough so that I don’t have to hit the next video for it to load :)

Consideration not required. The topic speaks for itself.
A surprise to be sure but a welcome one
Walkers are so cool
My personal favorite will always will be the AT-TE
This is now My favorite video on TH-cam l love almost all the walkers in star wars
This old SW Fan definitely got his walker fix in! ❤
43:53, did that AT-AT just jump ?
Well done guys
It's official that both AT-AT pronunciations are correct

This is some primo stuff. Thanks for the content!
The at-at is just perfect.
I will never not call bullshit on walker grade blaster cannons destroying a Munificent Frigate.

1: Mass driver cannons are strong
2: It was the underside of the ship
3: Mass driver cannons shoot rocekts maybe they were special ones
Your absolutely welcome
Well done
Walkers will always be my favorite vehicle type

17:44 FLAME Troopers? Casually lighting sentient beings on fire? Can we say, gruesome war crimes?!! 💀
AT-TE's are the goats of walkers, a true all terriane veichle.

Good thinking
We will do that exactly
There was a Droid walker in force unleashed 1 that is a boss fight. Real monster

Yea, never thought of that… those coorps must have to be beyond enormous
Time to see a walkin walker video
Give me an at-te, an rt and a speeder bike and the laat to carry it all. Long live the Republic

The at te with the open back reminds me of humvee pickups
I'm never wrong
I think my favorite is the chicken walker.
Good idea
Walkers run!!
I think the cutscenes featuring the UT-AT in Battlefront 2 are from Revenge of the Sith clips.
Let's do that then
Great video!
I feel like you could still make a mine to take out the ATAT

OMG, love this! Snacks & drinks & away we go.
8:08 Blaster -proof armor? Are you sure about that?
Bloody hell mate
The 600kg of cargo for the ATAT swimmer makes absolutely zero sense considering that somehow a ATTE is able to fit between 10-40 tons of cargo
I like how you measure things with a Giraffe!!!!😆
anything but the metric system
Was trying to find a video but there is none that I could find. How would the ATAT have faired in the Clone Wars?

How did their technology advance so far without inventing the wheel?
Wait, so when Anakin used the AT-TE to ambush Greivous’ ships, the pilots could fire and control the mass driver from the inside?

Wow may the force be with you!
Yes please do that instead
Me too
Was every aclimater built the same? Like did they ever focus on one type of unit ie troops, Calvary,
I've never seen anything saying there was specialization with them but other things like Venators do that so it could be implied that it what they do
I’m pretty sure there are carrier variants of the acclamator, and considering that the fighters and bombers would almost certainly be atmospherically capable, yes
There were definitely multiple variants of the ship though
There is a variant that only has vehicles
