- Since the very start of his career Alkaline has been shrouded in controversy, controversy that some would say aided his rapid rise in music from the tattooed eye story, to bleaching, change of management, taboo topics in Dancehall and people making claims about their association with the artiste when he was virtually unknown. One such person is Ariel McIntosh a former friend and classmate of the champion boy. If there is any truth to Kassanova' s story I think his approach is wrong. HIS INTERVIEW IS REALLY AIMED AT SAYING THAT HE IS THE MASTERMIND BEHIND ALKALINE'S SUCCESS which is rather petty. He and Alkaline may have been dealing but not in a formal setting so Alkaline is not obligated to give credit. People dont understand that it is not mandatory to give credit. Acknowledging someone is voluntary and Alkaline may have his reasons. Alkaline has credited his producers in a number of his most recent singles. Notnice was also credited in his earlier work but their working relationship is now dissolved because Alkaline may have his reasons. This goes to show that whee credit is due it is given. On your path to ultimate success things will happen and that might have played out between Kassanova and Alkaline.
It seems that Alkaline had more of a passion towards music and realised that music wasn't so much Kassanova's passion and that may have led to Alkaline severing ties with him. I believe Kassanova is trying to associate himself with Alkaline in an effort to somewhat gain the audience that Alkaline is now so fortunate to have.
In regards to Alkaline's controversial image it was strategic as mentioned and not entirely inspired by kartel. PEOPLE TEND TO THINK THAT EVERY ARTISTE HAS EVOLVED FROM ANOTHER OR WAS NURTURED BY ANOTHER AND THERE IS A MIND BLOCK WHICH SAYS THAT NO ARTISTE IS SMART ENOUGH TO MAKE THE RIGHT MOVES AND HAVE SUCH AN IMPACT. EVERY ARTISTE HAS INSPIRATION FROM ARTISTES BEFORE THEM AND IT WOULD BE SELFISH TO ONLY ACKNOWLEDGE ONE KARTEL. Alkaline was brilliant enough however to see what worked for another man and gave it his own twist which is very smart and ' NOBODY NEVA SAY THAT CYAAH PLAY'. Alkaline was fortunate to find his uniique styla and lernt from the mistakes of those before him. Undoubtedly alkaline has made great progress in a short space of time and is among the leading act of dancehall currently.
Alkaline is the beginning of a new age in Dancehall among others and just like artistes before him his tim will come too.
