I haven't been able to move on from this gen corolla. Very reliable and economical. I'll keep it as a beater even though is my favorite 😆. I have 260k and still running like new.
Just bought same car 2005 S few days ago with 200ks on it from one owner and STILL runs like new. Sound system is awesome for being stock. Did not know about the cup holders in the back or the lights under the rear view mirrors. Thanks for the tips.
I had a 2006 in that same color that I bought new in 2005 which was also the first car I've ever purchased. I drove it for 5 1/2 years & 42k miles with no problems as expected, but had to get rid of it cause I needed a bigger car with more room (I'm over 6ft). I currently drive a 2016 Lexus GS350 F-Sport that I bought in June 2020 & has been reliable so far as expected. I'll likely continue to purchase Toyota/Lexus vehicles for the rest of my life. You can't beat their legendary reliability along with solid build quality. Many people in my family have owned many Toyota/Lexus vehicles over the years as none of them have had any problems.
I have a 2010 but you're right about not being comfortable especially for long legged people. I'm not even that tall 5-11' 😂. Though it's a reliable and keeps on running
Haha! Right! I'm only 5"7 and its the oddest shape for a driver position. It's either the steering wheel is too far or your legs are crammed and your knee hits that plastic part.
Awe thanks man. Appreciate it!! Truly. That means a lot. I was very positive back then! Trying to get that back. Had a lot of stuff go down in life ya know. It’s crazy how life can turn in an instant
@@DanielGennaro Hey Dan, great car, nice video. As you know we all have ups and downs and believe me I've been there I know how it feels but you know what? I've learned that at the end of the road everything will be ok. Wish you the best, I can tell you're an awesome guy. Greetings from Honduras 🇭🇳👍
1:55 Completely agree! It is very hard to get a comfortable seating position. Especially, if you’re over 5’7”. Starting with the 2009 model, telescopic steering wheel is available, which improves seating position.
I got an 08 that my dad bought new. He parked it for me until I turned 16 in 2012. Since then I have never driven any other car and have put over 230k miles on it.
Thanks for your comments man, glad you're familiar! Ya i'm kinda regretting selling it now because of my long commutes- I got a Ford Escape 2011 and def miss the great MPG in the corolla.
Great video it was soooo helpful. I’m in the market for my first car as a teen. I’m looking at a 2006 Corolla S with 60,000 miles for $6,400 and it’s in very good condition. I live in California so the cars here are naturally expensive. Is that a good deal? I’m going to check it out today and I don’t know much about cars. As a former Corolla owner what are some things I should check for? Thank You so much!!!
A car like this at only 60.000 miles is a gold find, They run for ever and I would say lower than a 100000 miles they are always in great condition, You will have nothing to worry about change the oil make sure the alignment is good an in my view you should be good to go.
Thanks for the reply! glad you could get back to him before I could- You're right, 60k miles??? must've been driven by a grandma! I'd say that for those miles, 60k at $6,400, they're hoping to get about $5,500 or so... which would def. be a great deal. Always check KBB and use it as a gauge and then research others on Marketplace and Craigslist to see what they're going for... and use that to negotiate.
These cars are good on gas and parking is great no headaches they can last fir a long time but is not that fast of a car so don’t push it but you won’t be disappointed because it takes u where u need to go so if you have one take care of it 😊👌

I am considering to buy this car soon and I am wondering if this has like a 'Mountain' mode on the transmission where it stays connected to the engine if you keep your foot off the gas pedal? I live in a pretty mountainous area and I feel just breaking with the breakpads would be a waste.
Nice video bro. Just bought one today with 135k and good condition with minor scratches here and there Just normal wear and tear for a 16 year old car for $4000 and I thought I got a steal but I just read you sold yours for $3k. And the 1.8 motor has some get up so im a bit confused on yours? Mine has some get up and go power. But thanks for the review.
@@DanielGennaro it wasn't difficult but I recommend removing the rear view mirror in order to switch the lights out. Makes it infinitely easier. You just need a small flat head screwdriver.

I can get by the uncomfortable seating position. I put the bottom seat close and recline the back and manage to get comfortable enough to drive. However.
