Hello have you heard or have any information about Bachelors of Cyber Security and behaviours at Western Sydney University? and im 30 now, is it too late to study now to get a job in cyber security? thanks
I’m not familiar with wesrern sydney uni, 30 is not old at all! you may not need a degree, a cert IV in cyber from TAFE might be enough and then follow the plan laid out here: th-cam.com/video/ug_ruisDUXc/w-d-xo.html
@@UnixGuy "Thank you! I thought a degree was a must-have to get a job in cyber security after looking at job sites, but I don't have any relevant work experience. I will try to follow your plan!"
Maybe we should choose the cheaper degree and use the saved money to get other useful certs? I think the tuition fee gap between different colleges is over huge.
Could you share with me some of your thoughts about the Master of Cybersec at ECU? Like will it be a ECU degree provide great in-depth in cyber-security and industry connections even when it is a cheaper option? If possible, making a video reviewing about this Master at ECU would be great. Besides, would you see Western Australia a potential area where international could develop in this Cyber Security field as an entry-level role?
@@UnixGuy Thanks. How is your thought of taking a degree in Perth and research for more jobs in Sydney and Melbourne as a entry-level for international students?
@@thanhquocquangnguyen9581 yeah that could work, your biggest challenge will be lack of experience (if u dont have it) and not having a work visa (if u dont have it)
@@UnixGuy Yeah good to hear it. Will try my best to get hand on entry role during my study at ECU. Btw, for your experience, does ECU have good industry connection?
Hey, could you please tell me is MS in cyber security from Monash University really worth it? I'm working in telecommunication and looking for a career change and currently I'm preparing for the security+ exam and planning to pursue a master's in cyber security from Australia.
Hi UnixGuy, how is the course standards for Griffith university in masters of cyber security . And also can u pls share ur preference/numbering for below 6 universities for masters in Cyber security Edith Cowan University Western Australia Griffith University Macquarie University La Trobe University Deakin University University of Melbourne University of Queensland
Hi Kartheek, Griffith is fine, and ECU is best done onlone as it’s cheaper. I can’r order them in preference as they’re all good, choose the city you want and plan accordingly. I would personally pick Macquarie or ECU (online)
@@UnixGuy Do you think there is a point of me pursuing a Bachelor of Information Technology and majoring in cyber security in Macquarie? even though I feel that I'm personally going to still seek a job of Cybersecurity after I graduate? I personally just kind of want to learn more about computer science but I don't want to potentially lose out on offers just because I picked to major in Cybersecurity instead of choosing a Bachelor of cybersecurity.
@@roninbb Employers don’t particularily care either way as they won’t be familiar with the specific subjects of your degree. You can always double major or do the extra cyber subjects. Hi, please what's your take on the CCNA CyberOps? I have the Sec+ and CCNA R&S and I'm trying to renew both as they are expiring soon. I was also looking at the CCNA Security cert but I'm of the opinion that the CyberOps is more related to Cybersecurity. I also have the option of just abandoning the R&S and taking the AWS Security exam which also renews Sec+ but not the R&S.
if your goal is to work in Cyber security, ditch the CCNA. AWS is an excellent idea and is in demand ( watch this th-cam.com/video/NGvgJKtygwo/w-d-xo.html )
could u give me what bachelor's degree of cyber security is best and up to date with current ECU or Deakin or Curtin as Iam in SriLanka these are the possible international degree's i can take so could you please check on this degree and say which is up to date?
