I hadn’t heard this in maybe a year or longer and when I stumbled across it here, I had the same reaction as you- and when the album was new years ago, I practically wore it out listening to it.
This is my all time favorite Todd album. It has spurred on many a conversational session with my friend who was an atheist in his high school days. Later in life through his education, life's hard knox and mathematics, my friend finally "saw the light" as it were!!!! I always thought it as the story of Christ and all our day to day struggle to be better humans on this big blue marble!
I was lucky enuf to meet and talk to Todd(I did most of the talking.haha)after a cheap trick concert, right aroung the time of this album.i remembered I asked him if this album had anything to do w/ the death of John Lennon, and he said no..
HR d - thanks for this and all the other TR postings you do. Much appreciated! Healing I, II, III is one of my favorite pieces to really listen to. Being able to see it again is all the more special. And wow, Bobby can really tickle those reeds...so much fun to see and hear him also!
Actually it's part 2, here's why, Todd released it in 3 parts, while editing for posting I found I could condense the 3 parts into 2, but pretty observant of You...THX
Thanks for taking the time to do that, Mr. Runt... well worth it to see you play guitar here. And great band- loved it when you could steal Prairie away from the Tubies.
I did not go to this concert, but don't think it ever came to the west coast. I will say that it is the TR concert that I didn't see that I most wish I did see. I listened to this album quite a bit after it came out. This live version is so much more "alive" than the record vsn it's ridiculous.
Well I'll share my experiences seeing Todd. It was in Miami he told us his wife had fallen down the stairs. And then I was somehow in therapy with Todd looking at my narcissistic husband and asking why you with him? Lol
Been a huge fan since 1973 Todd is so awesome
WHAT A POWERFUL SET WOOOO !!!! WHO ELSE LOVES TODD ?? COME ON !!!
Surreal. If this was like church, I would be in constant attendance.
Always liked this song. An underrated genius.
Todd ... Simply wonderful ... amazing songs ... a true wizard ... a true star among us. Food for the human soul.
Good call!
I've listened to this album for many years, but these kids really made the performance. What a talented group. Bravo.
I couldn’t stop from crying....this spiritual riff really hit home deeply for me.....thank you TR!
I always get emotional when I hear this song. It is just exceptionally beautiful and very moving.
Likewise. Old Boomer here.

Does the same for me. Has anyone ever understood what it means to be human and expressed it in music better than TR?
Even after several decades, this hits home in my heart.... every time. What a journey!
This is giving me chills up and down my torso.
‘79, I think.
Only Todd.
81. The year I graduated. This guy is timeless and unbelievable.
Todd amazing a true star
I saw the show in St Louis 4 days before this. What a revelation!
Seen Todd in 79. My first concert. Awesome. What a trip
Connie where ever you are thank you for turning me on to this man

It's hard to be sensitive in this materialistic world.
The most unbelievable performance I've seen! Go Todd! GoTodd!

I wonder how Todd would respond to your comment.

Great favorite song. A fantastic performance
Wish this had been put together in one video.
Can’t believe it’s been 11 years since I was there. Just so amazing…
Sweet nectar for the soul....I love this live version !!
This is genius!
This is actually pt.3, but still like seeing it on here. :o)
Pure brilliance!
This brought tears to my eyes. I loved the kid chorus. I bought Healing on vinyl when it first came out when I was still a teenager. Im 60 now. lmfao.
Soooooooooooo beautiful!

Ok, didn't realize you were refering to YOUR edited version of pt.2. It's all good.

It looks like he is playing the Japanese replica of the Fool Guitar that he bought from Eric Clapton all those years ago.
Sweet
