  • This video provides an overview of the facial capture and animation workflow used for the Metahuman characters in my Unreal Virtual Production Fellowship Project.

    Of note with the facial animation workflow shown here, the original performance was captured at 240fps, resulting animation sequences were dived into individual animation sequences per face region (brows, eyes, mouth, etc.) and the resulting set of sequences were stacked in Sequencer with various weight values applied to "tune" the resulting performance before final adjustments were made using key frame editing on the Facial Control Board Rig.
