I’m so glad I watched this review. The little snippet on Amazon and the cards shown was just not connecting with me. It seemed a bit scattered. This video clarified things so much for me.

I followed the creation of this deck on Danielle Barlow's IG page. Shes a local artist to me and Phyllis Currott wrote the first book i read when I stepped onto my path as a teenager. So it was a no brainer that I was getting this deck. This deck could be "my soul deck".

This deck came to e about 6 months ago. I opended it and pulled Pilgrim the first time!! That was so intense for me that I didn't pick it up again until the last few weeks. I m just in awe at the beauty, the writing and the clear messaging that allows Sprit to come through this deck!! Last night was a Super Moon in Sagittarius and my partner and I used this deck for a ritual ...it was very powerful for us both. Thank you Phyllis Curott!
I’m so glad you did a walkthrough of this one! The re-ordering of the Majors originally totally put me off from wanting it, but being able to understand what they did and why has totally changed my mind. Going on the holiday wishlist for sure!

The book is fantastic and Yes "Come on" the Ace of Air blows me away with the bones and spider webs and listening to you read it I'm already mesmerized and it's the first card. This deck is amazing, feels right to me. Watch the Hay House utube on the originator being interviewed. It is brilliant. The artist and the writer of the deck actually journeyed for each card. To listen to the Hay House interview with The writer, I just wanted this deck NOW

So glad you made this! I just got this yesterday, and noted how many of the cards differ from the standard RWS meaning, and my first thought was "I wonder how this works for Kelly with her numerological/elemental approach, and I hope she makes a video!"

Not at all, the book does such a great job at explaining what you are seeing and what the meaning is that it is beautiful for beginners. Keeping in mind, however, that the majors are reversed in order and names have been changed, so what you learn here will be different than a traditional tarot. But all of the same energies are there, just walking through them in a different direction :)

There's no denying this deck is beautiful and powerful, and I'm thinking of getting it, but I wonder if it's romanticizing the natural world too much. Where is the predator, or disease, or disaster? I'm not too far on the pagan path, so I'm asking sincerely about this. It's easy to fault the religious world, but the natural world has its own brand of suffering, too, and I feel like that's often missing or glossed over in our imaginations when it comes to what a pagan world might have been like or what it could become again.
I think that is a very fair assessment and a definite problem in some of the pagan path, there are decks that include both, such as one of my favorite Hush Tarot, This is certainly a softer journey through nature other than the chaos of the initial destruction of the city--which sets up that idea that man is evil and outside of nature.
@@TheTruthinStory Thanks for your thoughts, Kelly. I work with the Hush Tarot, too. Since making my earlier comment, I've watched Hay House's interview with Phyllis, which gave me some helpful insights into her reasoning behind this deck's positive angle.
I bought it for the novelty, waiting to arrive. What is the purpose of the change in numerology? Interpret the Arcana with a different depth of the new number meaning? Interpret in reverse, as the Wheel of Fortune can swift in direction?
There are some interviews out there from the creator and I believe they talk about it in the book, but as they were creating the deck (they were doing journey work together to create the images) the majors were coming in reverse order. So they are looking at the fools journey starting from the end and moving towards the Magician. Just a different way to process the majors.

Why? I’m a huge fan of guidebooks. I’ve been thinking about this deck but still so expensive. I recently read the guidebook for transient tarot and loved it but it began as an indie deck

I can't. 5of swords is literally oposite of integrity. Completely distorted interpretation. In general many card's depictions have more made up interpretation of the card than what the number with the suits is talking about. Don't like it.
Well I consider it a success if you leave a walkthrough knowing a deck IS or ISN'T for you so I'm glad you were able to figure that out and save your money :D Have a lovely day!
