It takes a strong boy to be so happy and supportive of a pregnancy that his own family isn’t supportive of (at least at a young age) and you have a great mom!

My best friend in high school got pregnant at 15. It is now years later and she continued high school, went and got a Bachelor’s degree in college, and is now married. You don’t have to give up anything! It will definitely be more work and require more time management and a good support system, but it’s possible girl ❤️
I love that her mom, despite being against abortion, still took her to explore her options, even if it meant that her daughter’s ultimate decision wouldn’t be one she would agree with. Definitely shows how open minded she is. Great job to both of you
Sophie, I'm a mom of a teen Mom. I love your mom's heart. I could never not be there for my daughter. I never thought twice about being there for her. My daughter had a lot of issues with the dad's family. Today, my daughter is married to the dad, finished school and is now an RN working on her master's. So proud of my daughter!
You guys obviously don't owe us any kind of explanation on the birth certificate situation, but but now after this explanation I totally can see where you guys were coming from. It gives him an opportunity to be involved in their life without the pressure and for you guys also to know that he's there because he wants to be not because he has to be.
I wish my mom had reacted like yours, mines sadly kicked me out when I told her I got pregnant and luckily I have an amazing dad and step mom who took me back in but it would’ve been nice to have the support of my actual mom😔 you’re mom seems amazing tho❤️❤️

You can tell your mom raised you right! You are so mature and handling this better than I could ever imagine. I got pregnant at 19 and was a mess and dealt with postpartum depression and felt so defeated at times. My daughters almost 6 now and I feel so blessed and couldnt imagine her not in my life. Shes my whole world. I think it's amazing you're doing this and with such positivity. You're a very smart, mature young woman!

Absolutely no shame in receiving help from parents. Specially when I can assure you much older parents probably accept a lot more help than you are atm. Also, I think letting your mom do things with your babies is separate than what your responsibilities to them are since that builds her relationship with your kids, giving them baths, etc.

Girl when I found out about my twins all I could do was laugh too. There was literally nothing I could do but crack up. Everyone thinks I’m crazy when I tell them that was my reaction I’m glad I’m not the only one😂😭
I got pregnant at 22 with my first baby. After leaving my ex when I was 4 months pregnant with only the cloths on my back, I have never looked back! I knew that struggling (especially in New York) was better than suffering. My mom was my biggest support. And although she still doesn’t know the real reason I left and got a restraining order against him, She still helped me raise my son for a year. My mom was my biggest fan. The world needs more momma’s like your mom. You teen moms are doing an amazing job❤️
