Same is applicable for many events in Ramayanam. Your easily gladly accept Pushpakavimanam because models are available but not ready to accept Hanuman flying over the sea .. Poetic embellishment is comfortably used to justify what is not explainable with our very limited knowledge.
Difference... He accepted Pushpak vimana because it is described in Ramayana as an object that can fly... But there is no such thing given in the text from which a man can fly... Descriptions are actually of swimming in an extraordinary speed and manner that no one can match
