      Better use the accent which is compatible with Sanskrit pronunciations, instead of using an alien accent and bringing disrepute to the language which is the soul of Sanatana Dharma.

      You are doing absolutely great sir. The import if the upanishad is more important than the semantics! 99% of Indians don’t know something called Upanishads exist leave alone brihadaaranyaka..
      Just like atma is more important than the body the meaning of Upanishads is more important than the pronunciation!
      Salute to you!

    • @RchandraMS
      @RchandraMS 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@muralinarasimhan3863 That's where the lose ends get opened up. In Sanskrit every pronunciation is important. Just you said, it's important to understand deha first, then you realise atma. It's easy to slide away with such explanations which don't really fetch you anything. Search for words which differ in meaning when you change lower case to upper case or vice-versa.
      Hope to see a mature video next time.

      @@RchandraMS what you say is true. Words are important but is limited. But the essence of sanatana is that atma gnaanam which is direct experience and words have no place there. That’s why there is a prayaschitta mantra kaayena vaacha etc etc. where you do praaschitta for mantra heenam kriyaa heenam and bhakthi heenam. In Vaishnava sampradaaya there is something called saatveega tyagam!! Where one gives up all responsibilities of intent action and end in the name Krishna. Ihope you understand. This is my humble submission!

      @RchandraMS 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@muralinarasimhan3863 I really feel pity for your superficial knowledge. Prayaschitta is for the unknown mistakes done. Not for the known deliberately made mistakes. Probably, you may have to check the real essence of all the relaxations provided.

    The very question by Gargi - "What is the knowledge by knowing which, everything is known" - wow! It's simply amazing and so profound - the depth of logic and science is mesmerizing. No doubt Upanishads are pure and absolute science.

    Logically enthralling conversation… I had the same insight when climbing to the cave where Mahavtar Babaji initiated Lahiri Mahasaya into kriya yoga later made popular by Paramhansa Yogananda in his book ‘Autobiography of a Yogi’. While returning from the cave I saw a goat giving birth a kid .. the kid goat was tottering and the umbilical sac was still visible. When I reached home I saw a huge dead cobra on my front lawn. That night I got the insight… life is expressing itself through us. It has no other purpose but to sustain life. Our consciousness is immortal and changeless … creating sustaining and dissolving the world of perception. Chidanda Roopam Shivoham… as Shankara put it.

      A big lie!, consciousness is impermanent and subject to change, it is dependent on our material brain organ to even arise & operate in the first place. In short, no material brain organ in your body == No consciousness possible.
      Your consciousness right now while seeing my comment is completely different from the consciousness you had when you wrote your comment in the past.
      So unfortunately both you and you mahavatar babaji are living their life in ignorance if they believe in wrong-view of eternalism, and so are destined to reborn in a plane of misery for a long time. No offence but it is only boundless compassion from me.

    Great narration. Congrautulations.
    This Upanishad is realy the extract of ultimate knowledge of Hindu philosophy. Brahm is the ultimate reality and realising this truth is the highest aim of life .
    From my side I like to add this much to it, from the perspective of student of physics.
    General Theory of Relativity and Quantum Mechanics are the two streams of physics that revolutionised modern thought and philosophy in the last century. What is the final conclusion about reality as per the modern quantum theory of gravity?
    It concludes that the ultimate reality is a unified covariant quantum field and the phenomenal world is a manifestation of this field, quantas of the field coming into existence and then going into non- existence. The dance of Siva! Why can't you interpret Ohm as the symbol of this reality which you may call variously as Unified Field or Brahm.

    Thank you for even attempting to pronounce rather complicated names with multiple syllables. One request, stop referring Sanatan Dharma as Hinduism. The latter is a British created nonsense.

    I am a Muslim interested in understanding Santana Dharma which appears to be the foundation of Hindu religion. The undefinable Brahman seems to be equivalent to the undefinable Allah in Islam. Am I wrong?

      Brother, I believe you are right. Both Allah and Brahman are the source of all things; therefore, things equal to the same thing are equal to each other. Is it not so? ❤

      Absolutely. During the 17th century, this argument was made by Dara Shikoh, the heir apparent to Shah Jahan of the Mughal empire. He even translated the upanishads into Persian and made the argument that the original concept of monotheism of Islam comes from here.

      Son, though the Brahman and Allah seem like one, there are distinct differences. Quran instructs to worship Allah the creator but not his creations. But brahman is formless as well as the materials with forms. Because Brahman manifests itself into material hence the creator and the creations are one and the same.

    From the very start the hindu dharma(Vedic/sanatan) is divided into two schools of thought. first r those who believe that god has a physical form (sagun) . In this thought they refer to god as param purush (supreme person) & call him by names such as krsna, rama. Those who follow vedic rituals talk about five dev s (sun, shiv , parvati , ganesh and vishnu). Thus all of these have physical forms . Here we believe in duality meaning that we the living beings are different from god and after death living beings don't merge but migrate into a new body.thus at all times there r two (god & we living beings)
    Those who follow the other school say that god has no form at all. They call him "brahman". This is different from braahman(a caste) and Brahma (a demi-god & the creator of different species (body forms in which the soul resides). Here they don't believe in duality and r thus termed as monists. Here they believe that after death of living being the soul merges with the brahaman and looses its existence (this is why the followers after death r called "brahmanleen") or those who have merged with brahaman.
    So whenever we make any video on the very onset we must mention that this video is as per sagun or nirgun(wothout body form) school of thought. This is specially recommended to those who r not aithotrised (meaning those not coming from "guru-shishya --
    parampara " or come from the cyclic chain of successive spiritual master and the deciple.(like shankracharyas etc).
    Also pronunciation of nouns (names of person/place/thing) don't change with the use of different languages. So even while catering to audience knowing english only still we pronounce nouns like we do in Sanskrit/devnagari language.
    This is my recommendation to all those like u who, just by reading a book start making videos. U must always name the person(acharya ) and book on whose commentary u r basing the video on.

    Why the Brahman is called as Brahman? why not with any other name? What's the origin (Etymology) and meaning of the word Brahman?

      In Sanskrit, Brah means to be or make firm, strong, solid, expand, promote and Man refers to a fundamental principle. So in essence the word refers to the fundamental principle or substratum of everything.
