Wonderful cover, very well done, can i ask you what reverb plugin/gear you used? Sounds very musical.
Thank you! I use an AT2020 for my vocals connected straight to my Scarlett solo, and the reverb is just the default FL Studio plugin, Fruity Reverb. Sorry if that's not super interesting but that's what I use! haha

Thank you! I just listened to the studio recording and tried to pick out the harmonies and then recorded them through my AT2020 microphone :)

One of these days, when you have a little time, I would like to know how you are able to play back your recorded harmonizing vocals in perfect time with your live performance. I don't work with your technology but I would love to know for the future! Have a wonderful July 4th!!!
I can try to explain it! I use a digital audio workstation (DAW - a software on my computer so I can adjust sound levels, etc) to layer the piano & main vocal together, and then within the DAW you can record audio over that. You can hear the playback of the layers to record backing harmonies over, and the DAW will layer them in realtime while they're recorded. Hope this makes sense!

I love the idea of working with recording technology. As a kid, I use to play with "auxiliary" inputs (other than the microphone), with simple cassette tape recorders and later with sound mixers that had maybe 4 different channels. It is so much fun! Hey Jack! I just happened to come upon this other guy doing a cover of this same song. I noticed that he is doing a different type of (left or right) hand - and it actually sounds very intriguing. It gives the melody a "rolling" kind of effect. I wanted you to hear it - just to see if you like what he is doing and if you like the effect. It might be fun to try it. Not sure if it's part of the original song or not. I hope it doesn't bother you that I'm "comparing" you and another cover artist. Just check it out.
