Lyrics:
The lights go out and I can't be saved
Tides that I tried to swim against
Have brought me down upon my knees
Oh I beg, I beg and plead, singing
Come out of the things unsaid
Shoot an apple off my head and a
Trouble that can't be named
A tiger's waiting to be tamed, singing
You are, you are
Confusion that never stops
The closing walls and the ticking clocks gonna
Come back and take you home
I could not stop, that you now know, singing
Come out upon my seas
Cursed missed opportunities am I
A part of the cure
Or am I part of the disease, singing
You are, you are
You are, you are
You are, you are
And nothing else compares
And nothing else compares
And nothing else compares
You are, you are
Home, home, where I wanted to go
Home, home, where I wanted to go

About TIME I did Clocks. Eh? Eh? Yeah.
I'm playing around with my lighting, what do you guys think?
Perfect..! ❤🙏 from Indonesia
Looks great! Amazing cover as well. I always look forward to your next upload :)
I like the lighting, it adds another dimension/ambience. Thank you for sharing this with us 💖
woooow
Keep it up! Perfect! 😘👊👌
How you play the riff, and the "Youuuuuuuuu areee" at the same time, and then the bassline that follows, omg. so amazing
i have to reply again, I didnt know a Clocks piano cover could be so interesting, the techniques you use to go from playing the riff in octaves with one hand to be able to hit a bass note in the left hand and then switch to playing the riff with both hands immediately after while the bass note rings out UGHHH. so fascinating to watch
@@DanielFerri Thanks Daniel 😊 Nice to have a fellow musician notice and appreciate the details!
@@DanielFerri It made my hands hurt, looking at how she played all that at once and my eyes lost track to every key lol
Yeah how???
You are sooo right! What ability to play in this way, them fingers can sure make a piano sing like no other, God Bless You Katherine *The Force is strong with this one* ... I'm so glad I found this video today, one to save for sure♪♫♪
So far this is the best piano rendition of this song that I've ever heard and witnessed
Thanks Jamie 🙏🏼
Ummm….can’t agree more! Gave me the chills!!! 👏🏼
🎼🎹👏Bet Chris Martin would love this too! Brilliant,Katherine!❤️
It's really beautiful, Indeed.
I enjoy this rendition too, by this brazilian artist, who gives more energy to every song he plays...a sort of rock piano🙃

You have an entire orchestra in the palm of your hands!
🤲
Possibly the best cover of any song I've heard
Fact
True.... 0 dislikes 😅👍

Agreed. Your pitch transitions so smoothly, and I love your style, which (at least on this piece) overlaps the chords, for a richer sound. Whatever it is, you did a fantastic job! I’m glad I stumbled upon this.
As a learning pianist I am absolutely blown away by the fact that you played the riff constantly while playing "you areeee" with the base line at the same time . I mean these are the details that take time and effort .
Absolutely. I’ve been playing for 10 years myself and watching piano video’s for over 15 years and I can certainly say this one is at least in my top 5 of all time favorites. That stuff you mentioned blew me away also.
Give me your top 5 let me go watch
This is beyond epic. Its like you have seperate brains for each hand. Amazing is an understatement
I was utterly entranced while watching this, your hands have to move across the length of the piano so often and yet the notes you hit are so subtle... honestly I think you’re the best pianist there is on TH-cam, hands down.
This one took practice. Thank you very much 🙏🏼
Don't get me wrong, she's unbelievably talented her playing is a serious joy to listen to. But 'best pianist, hands down' on youtube simply isn't true lol. Check out Leiki Udea or Kyle Landry or something for that
Try these, too:
Cateen, Frank Tedesco, Hiromi, Rousseau, Radnich's "Pirates Forever", Peter Bence, Kyle Landry.
Those are just a few, there are tons. For a start on Cateen, actually Hayato Sumino, search his name and Piano Sonata 0, an original. The dude is ridiculous, a world renowned concert pianist with a Masters in Engineering, and not a pompous bone in his body. He plays jazz, movies, games, and originals, too. And his improv skills are just plain nuts. He also does stupid stuff like attempt Flight of the Bumblebee on a TOY piano at 250 BPM, just for fun. One of the most amazing technicians on the keyboard I have ever witnessed. If you want to see him cut loose, look up his "Tom and Jerry".
I saw him on a show where the judges were listening to high school pianists auditioning for a prestigious music college. The show threw him in as the last pianist. They were behind a curtain or they would have instantly known who he was. The looks on their faces were great. When they opened the curtain one was nodding, I expect she may have had an inkling of who it was. When he plays a piece, it is DIFFERENT. Then he played a piece with each student, and showed some of his improv chops there. Both he and the students were having a blast. The funniest part was he said that they were so nervous, they were making him nervous...and he plays before thousands, frequently.
Tedesco takes requests on Omegle, that he listens to on the phone and makes absolutely amazing music out of, right there, real time, sometimes 10 loops deep, often just piano. Great sense of humor, too. Also on YT. Also has originals. His Etude, Waves is a great start.
If not the best one of for sure
The lights go out and I can't be saved
Tides that I tried to swim against
Have brought me down upon my knees

its the first time ive come back to this video in a while. 8 months since my mental health got so low i thought it wasn't worth living any more. the day i thought about ending things, i was trying to learn clocks on piano and stumbled upon this video. your video. i remember watching it and crying to myself. and now that im better, looking back your video really helped me feel the slighest bit of happiness in a time of such dispare. i truly can never thank you enough.
Thank you Joel. Hope you continue playing, I wouldn’t have been able to play like this a few years ago.
this is insane. I thought i have already learned a difficult version, until i saw this. It almost sounds like you are playing 3 pianos with 6 hands at the same time, incredible
I got a friend and he study at music academy in composition class and piano is he's main instrument. When we spend free time I sometimes ask Tom play something and when he starts I've got the same feeling 😂😂😂 he's not a human 😂😂😂
Clocks is my fave Coldplay song with the melodies and chord progression and this is a sensational cover!
I don't know if I'm more impressed with the depth and complexity of this, or the fact that you did it without music. Either way, well done!
My son is 13 and he was really eager to learn your specific version of this great song. We got your sheet music and he practiced a lot. He plays it now perfectly 😊. Such a pleasure listening to it. Well done and thank you!
My pleasure :) Hope he keeps playing.
Perhaps your son might like to record & upload it...😊
I'm a few years late with my comments but just saw this as I start out on my piano journey after a 50 year hiatus. This is the most amazing thing I've seen. I could watch and listen to this a million times. Just incredible.
It’s about TIME Katherine. My all time fav Coldplay song 😭🙌🏽 and nice color lights!
:D
It's always a good day when you wake up to a Coldplay song.
Good Day to you everyone :D
Absolutely fantastic. Love the "Home, home, where I wanted to go" portion. Chills.
Wow this is easily the best piano cover of Clocks I have ever heard. Mixing the riff of "and nothing else compares" with the vocal melody sounds amazing! Have re-watched this part so many times.
It's pure magic! This song has always been special to me and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw your cover this morning! Thanks! You're awesome
🤗
Wow, no point watching any other versions of this now. You've perfected it!
sounds like 3 hands are playing
Honestly, a perfect cover ❤
As a learning pianist, I must say that I am astounded with how good you are. I've lost track of how many times I've listened to this, it's just so good. I hope to one day be able to play this piece just like you. ❤️
You can, I wouldn't have been able to play like this a few years ago!
I have never seen a cover as powerful as this especially not for Coldplay. Wonderful job
I have never made a comment on youtube until this. I had to say: Excellent arrangement, beautiful, amazing playing.
Thank you :)
YOU ARE EPIC!!!
This is how you give a master class in piano.
Once again I'm completely blown away by your performance. By far, hands down... The - Best - Rendition/Piano Cover of this song in all the entire universe 🌏🌎🌍🌐🏆🏆🏆🥇🥇🥇
Haha thank you!
Easily the best cover of Clocks I have heard.
Okay, I can stop searching now that I’ve found the best Clocks cover on TH-cam. Wow!!!!!!
Thanks Philippe 🙏🏼
I am just awestruck at how expertly you maintained all the various overlapping themes. This arrangement, this performance, its incredible. So, so beautiful. Thanks for sharing your talent (And the sheet music!)
coming back to this, nothing short of genius. the way your hands move in the chorus is insane.
Sounds soooooooooooo complete that there's no need for any other instrument ! Amazing performance.
Seeing these pretty little hands of yours moving across the keyboard and hearing the sonic beauty they bring us... is priceless. With all respect, I love you for that. Thank you so much!!!
i can’t stop watching and listening to this. This cover made me cry the first time I watched it. You are so talented, never stop playing piano please.
Astounding,, "Clocks" is my favourite Coldplay song but I never expected to hear it played with beauty and emotion like this.
This song hits me with so much nostalgia. It's one of my favorite songs from Coldplay. I've always wanted to hear the piano cover of this, and let me say you did it justice. It's sounds beautiful and comforting. I could listen to this cover for hours, it's just that good. Thank you for this, you're so talented ♡
I mean, its neither fast, nor slow and neither high pitched nor low pitched, just perfect!!!!!!!! Those fingers are magical. ❤️ 😭
Simply blown away....this is one of the greatest Piano riff/song ever and you played it like anything, and thanks for hell of a sing along track..

I come here and listen to this almost every night before I go to sleep. Hands down, my favorite cover of this song. I think I actually prefer this to the original. You figured out a way to play the background instruments and the vocals in the most amazing way. I absolutely love it
This is incredible. This arrangement displays the versatility and power of piano and why its my favorite instrument. Bravo!!
Its the first time I hear someone playing the piano so beautifully
I often imagine myself lying on my back out in a huge pasture with just nature and then you and a grand piano, playing all these lovely tunes live.
What an amazing cover. You captured every nuke and cranny so accurately! Its amazing and Polarizing!!!💥👌💚🤩👌👌👌

This arrangement is amazing!! Such a pleasure to hear. ❤
the best clocks cover i have ever heard, you have a spectacular left hand
I love this cover specially as it sounds a lot heartier like there is more than one person playing it. That’s what I love so much. I’ve just recently been getting into Coldplay and this is what I love to see❤❤❤ Beautiful
👏👏je ne me lasse pas d´écouter et d ´écouter encore et encore !!
The illumination... WOW 🤩
Beautiful, really the best piano cover of Clocks out there!
This has to be the most beautiful piece that I've heard in my life. Flawless work Mrs. Cordova.
What a cover! Spellbinding stuff. This is probably the best cover of this song on TH-cam. 🌻
Thank you :)
Katherine, this is one of my absolute favorite songs of all time. When I watch you play this it brings me to tears. You are so talented. I wish you could teach me how to play this song.
That was absolutely jaw dropping. You are most definitely one of a kind.

WOW. just WOW. You're an absolute artist just watching your fingers move in this way is something ive never seen before
Spectacular! Awesome! Beautiful, powerful arrangement of a great song! To play the vocal lines and instrumental lines simultaneously and with complexity is amazing! Inspires me to improve upon my feeble arrangement of Clocks. Thanks for sharing!

Amazing work❤️
Amazing talent, I wish I could just go up to a piano and play a tune flawlessly like this 😍
Absolutely perfect and touching!!
Sounds soo good, found this way of playing it pretty difficult. So many ways to do this, but this sounds the best! Great job
THIS COVER IS JUST FANTASTIC HONESTLY I CAN DESCRIBE HOW GOOD IT IS. THIS IS MY FAVOURITE SONG AS WELL I'M JUST AAAAAAAAA
Katherine is simply magic!😍
Adventure of a Lifetime is also as magical as this one!
Awesome vid, Old Coldplay piano covers are some of the best. The first song I ever learned how to play on piano was the scientist, then speed of sound, then this.
My first was The Scientist, then Clocks :)
Wow. What a wonderful arraignment! Deserves a lot more views.
I just love hearing you play that !
Omg such a beautiful play 😍. I never thought it could be play with 1 piano. Hats up👍🏾
when I was younger it was the song I played the most when I had my piano, now I remember a little how to play it, it resembles the original, but what you did when you played this song left me without, I hope and one day I get to play this song as great as you do
Once again amazing and too my fav Coldplay song of all time 💪🏾
Wonderfull arrangement! Love your covers!
Absolutely fantastic! From the gradient lighting to the captivating arrangement. Bravo 🎉 😭🙏🏻
🤗🤗
So much flow and sound power! Masterful how you express all the different sounds of the original recording over to the piano and also bring your own muscical language to it! Thank you so much for your soulful arrangements!
Biggest Respect 👍👏👏👏
Thanks for your kind words Christian 🙏🏼
I can`t stop listening to it!
I'll be visiting this masterpiece often. Thank you for creating this ❤️
