Ok, that would be cool to show a similar package. I just looked and could not find one that came with the two extra antennas and a carrying pouch (I know you said it didn't have the programming cable). Do you have the link to the package that is similar? If you do I'll link to it in my video description. 73s!!
The stubbies I got from DIamond and Comet are quite good. As good as my SignalStick, no. But at its size, its an amazing antenna. When around I can hit any of the repeaters I want and I can connect up to my car mounted antenna whilst driving. So yeah, they are actually good.
That's some good news. I think the key might be making sure you have real Diamond/Comet versions! I wonder if there is a way to tell. Thank you for the comment!!! 73s!! (PS - At some point I would love to devise a setup to make objective comparisons on HT antennas... there are so many variables.)
I was sent a review unit of the MaxTalker TK-W60. I have been unable to figure out exactly what it is because it does not resemble any of the Chinese handhelds out there. It has no FCC ID at all, so after a review of the reception and UI functions, it went back in the box. In fact the literature and box have no branding at all on them - just a computer printed sticker and barcode with MaxTalker printed on it.
Thanks for the comment. I did see that since I receive the TK-6 that they now have the TK-W60 also. It did look more unique, I also don't know what radio that would be. Was the UI similar to anything you've seen before?
I compared the MaxTalker and Quansheng on Amazon, and except for the programming cable, they are exactly the same.

I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for taking the time to drop a comment and for the view! Any new TalkPod radios in the near future? :)
@@KC4NWK Nothing new😂. Give us some times
I got the TIDRADIO Bluetooth programmer to program the MaxTalker. MaxTalker doesn’t show up in the list. Tried UV-K5(8), doesn’t work.
What radio did you end up selecting? Thanks for the info!
I tried to program FRS frequencies into it, but it doesn’t seem to accept any.
