That looks like an aftermarket. on this video. What antenna are you using to go through all of those frequencies. We are talking about quite a few frequencies here. with one antenna what would you recommend. Thanks
@@Myneckofthewoods7 It's a NA-805 antenna. For 2m and 7cm I recommend the Nagoya 771 antenna and my favourite stubby antenna is the NA 805, brilliant little things these. Great range and great swr on 70m. To test CB and HF I used a telescopic antenna.

@@bulldogbrower6732 I've tested with a standard telescopic CB antenna and it does receive. I was only able to test mobile radio to base radio from a distance so not a real world test.
Got my Radtel RT-900 the other day. However i think the recieve is not as good as the Anytone on weaker signals, ie 2M/70cm. The background noice floor level is higher and also the squelch is harder set on the lowest squelch setting with the same antenna so it wont open. The sound quality is a little bit squeeky from the speaker and the modulation from RX stations on a distance is harder to hear due to this. However, for the money it is a ok radio for more shorter distances. Maybe future software updates can make the radio sound quality better.
Hi, thanks. Appreciate you sharing your experience. You're right about the high noise floor, I've seen it on other Radtels as well. I've been fairly impressed with the reception actually. I haven't used it as an open squelch station to work very weak signals to be honest. I think a base station radio is better suited for that. In range testing, working repeaters etc it performed well. I'm surprised to hear you didn't like the sound quality, I thought it was a strong point really.
@RadioRofi yes, an interesting radio. However, have listened with a better antenna today. It would also have a little bit much of a squelch tail to it. There is a setting for it in the software, but it won't change anything from user perspective what i can determine, have tried all different settings there. Something you have worked out?
