Hey Louis! FIRST OF ALL, THIS IS NOT A HATER COMMENT! I love your vlogs and you were one of my main inspirations to start vlogging myself! BUT in lieu of an incident I observed in this video, I thought I should introduce myself and offer some constructive criticism that I would be more than happy to help you with. You tell your viewers to "peace out", "enjoy life" and "live the adventure", all things that I believe in too. I resonated with you when you wandered upon those donkeys today and observed that they were a bit skinny and possibly not being cared for. You even mentioned how upsetting it was to see animals abused and mistreated...yet just a few seconds after that clip you show us your lunch which was a huge platter of sliced meat bro!!! (aka slices of dead animal flesh, animals that were born with an excitement to live but instead were given a kill date at birth, and most likely abused during the few years they were alive). Not only was it very hypocritical to eat meat the same day as that experience with the donkeys, but I have observed man that you eat A LOT OF ANIMAL PRODUCTS! Like more than the average American! Eggs, sausages, burgers and pizza in almost every vlog! Now don't get me wrong, do I think you are conscious of the suffering and how bad this food is for you...no. I know you are not trying to be cruel, but it's the responsibility of a vegan activist like me to call out people I look up to and help them transition to live more in line with their values. I am not asking you to go vegan overnight or to feel bad about your actions. What I am asking you to do is gain awareness, and listen to your heart. There is enough peer reviewed data out there to conclude that eating meat destroys your health in the long run (so you wont be able to "live the adventure" as long), it always contributes to the killing of innocent beings (not "peace"ful), and by paying others to kill your food, those animals cannot "enjoy life". Louis it would be so epic for you, with such a massive following, to live more in line with your values and start eating less meat. You can do this in a number of ways without drastically altering your life. Things like "Meatless Mondays" or "vegan for breakfast". These are ways to ease into eating more plant-based, and the number of animals you save just by adopting small changes is HUGE in a matter of months or a year. You also have people like Jamie Oliver and Tim Shieff (one of Jamie's closest friends who is vegan and an amazing professional parkour athlete) who both know a lot about plant-based eating to help you out! Contact me bro! On my channel, Plantriotic FB page (or personal page Jackson Foster), or instagram, I even just downloaded Storie ;) I can help you with eating less meat, give you info, support, and answer questions. I have been vegan as an adventurer and athlete for 3 years, and it's totally change my life for the better. Peace Out Brother, Jackson Foster Plantriotic.com @plantriotic Plantriotic Podcast on iTunes
Plantriotic Yeah, wow! He is choosing to eat animals on an episode called talking with animals. :( We young humans can make a huge difference. The time for indifference is over!
SupraManTT Yes totally agree. If enough positive, inviting vegans comment here encouraging Louis to eat a little less meat he will TOTALLY DO IT because he is a compassion cool dude!
Dries Neirinck Just trying to keep Louis informed that's all. If eating animals is in line with his values that's totally cool I just want to make sure he is informed.
I'm pretty sure those Donkeys are perfectly fine. They're just old. My family has sheep and we take great care of them, but most of our ewes hip bones stick way out (with the exception of Annika because she always jumps out and eats fresh alfalfa and gets bloated), especially as they get older.
I love the little details Louis puts into his vlogs. Like when the music was playing and then he dropped his keys the music stopped, and then once he picked them up and started talking again the music started again. Nice little touch Louis, I appreciate the detail👌🏼
Louis, don't worry about the donkey. You could tell he was treated with good care because they had an amazing paddock full with grass. The reason they looked a bit skinny was probably because they're old (you can tell by their indented temples) :)
lol Ang won't eat truly organic wild strawberries but would probably pay $10 for a 3 oz package of "organic" labelled strawberries when they're not even truly organic
Glamy ...I agree and she had no idea what animal may have done their business on them. I don't eat anything without washing it, and knowing that it's safe to eat.
Ricky Stafford to be fair in SA there are a LOT more random plants and animals that will kill you so her caution is probably due to a lifetime of conditioning and training to not eat random things growing beside the path. you never know who might be lurking under there!
Louis if it makes you feel better, the donkeys aren't necessarily skinny because the owner isn't taking care of them. They might have a condition or the owner may be working on muscling them up or the owner may have only got them recently and they came that way. They didn't look terribly underweight for equines and they were out to pasture so they did have grass to eat. But you don't have to assume they aren't being looked after just because they're a little thin. After all you only met the donkeys for a moment and didn't meet the owner.
I'm curious. Does Louis experience jet lag like most people would or is his body more accustomed to change in time due to the amount of traveling he does? Is it even possible for your body to become so used to changing times that jet lag can be non-existent?
Jamie Marr to be honest I haven't seen any evidence or heard any mention of jet-lag management strategies. Just a lot of "I'm so tired, I don't know why". It can take up to two weeks to recover from jetlag and he's barely in any one timezone for that long.
FunForLouis You have fan and a viewer for life right here. I'm a vegan of two years and well... I just want to say that moment you shared with the mule/donkey (lol!) was beautiful. You can easily judge someones character of how they feel/act towards animals and to see you show a genuine concern for them.. You got me right in the feels bro
allthingsben Because they thumbup and reply to themselves. If you reply to your own comment, it will stay on top bc the comment gen. thinks it's a top comment. So sad, really upsets me actually.
Why are folks telling him to go vegan? You can have compassion for animals and still enjoy meat. Eating meat doesn't mean you have a barbaric view of how animals should be treated.
Not everyone can live off of veggies alone. I have a very hard time digesting things like broccoli, corn, and lettuce. It's good and I like it but those thinks make me sick. Especially broccoli.
Dana Junkin Hi Dana! You're right, not everyone can live off of veggies alone! But a vegan diet isn't limited to just vegetables! Vegans enjoy dozens of varieties of rice, pasta, potatoes, breads, couscous and other grains such as quinoa, bulgur, oatmeal, and millet! These are all awesome, healthy, and clean foods to be consuming. (not to mention that most spreads/condiments like jams, ketchup, tomato sauce, mustard, jelly, nut butters, and margarine are all vegan additions!) Many vegans also consume various legumes including chickpeas, kidney beans, black beans, pinto beans, lima beans, peanuts, brown/green/red/yellow lentils, green beans, mung beans, black eyed peas, cannellini beans, navy beans, and so on. Vegans can also enjoy the plethora of nuts and seeds on the market including cashews, almonds, pistachios, hemp seeds, sunflower seeds, hazelnuts, pecans, walnuts, and brazil nuts! Obviously there are dozens of varieties of healthy fruits & vegetables to include in ones diet, so if there are a few that don't work for you, don't eat them! Vegans can still eat pizza, pasta, stir fry, curry, sandwiches, and burritos! You just have to be open to your options ;) and plus, you can SAY that you have compassion for animals and "don't have a barbaric point of view of how animals should be treated" but if you are willing to pay a corporation to slaughter, torture, confine, burn, physically abuse, restrict, and rape animals FOR YOU, you might want to be honest with yourself about your morals. *** I am not meaning to attack you, I simply wish to be honest with you and open your eyes to some of the lies you have been told since birth.
I already eat that. I actually mainly eat chicken, fish, and the deer my family gets from hunting. Except for the occasional steak every now, I rarely eat cows meat. I actually refuse to eat things like veal because I read the process of how they do it. I don't feel bad about the deer because I know my family killed it the most humane way possible. Your fine! I didn't think you were trying to attack me. I just found it awful rude of people telling him he should go vegan. It works for a lot of people, but it doesn't work for everyone.
Lukas Belicka of coarse there is disconnection, he is not eating the donkey! Huge majority of farmers do a really good job at looking after animals before slaughter, its in their best interest to have healthy animals. Dont have a go at louis for eating meat , dumb comment.
Lukas Belicka So Lukas if the Chinese take really good care of all the dogs in Yulin then just kill them quickly instead of torturing them to death for the Yulin festival, you'd be ok with that?
gregbt In my book if you TRULY love and care for animals, not just cats and dogs you don´t let other people kill, cook and slice them for you. You don´t even kill them yourself just for your greed especially not in this age of abundance. No killing of sentient beings is justified it´s humane way of raising it, Killing is Killing.
I think the miniature donkeys are fine, I've taken care of some before. I'm no vet, but their hoofs looked ok, there seemed to be plenty of pasture available and the one with the thin back end just looked VERY old. The other looked normal. It's ok Louis...
+caver461 you do lack humanity if you are aware of what goes on in a slaughterhouse and still choose to eat it. I would say choosing your appetite over billions of animals lives is pretty in humane. Go watch some documentaries. I would say "If slaughterhouses had glass walls "
aidan giordano ..I was eating chicken while watching this. So, what he had meat later. For thousands of years men have raised animals and ate them. That's how our ancestors survived.
I do understand vegetarians but I think it's more important to know where the meat you eat comes from. For example, my family only buys meat from one farmer so we know the animals and we can see how they are treated. It's the same with fruit and vegetables. You should know where it comes from, because there are also many humans who are being treated horribly! It's all about awarness and knowing what you're eating...
I do not know how to reply to a reply BUT this is to +supertruthful. You know what else happened for thousands of years? Slavery. And slavery isn't right. You're not ur ancestors and people are much smarter now. You don't need meat to survive... I haven't eaten meat in 7 years.
So you're saying how you care for the donkeys and feel bad that you can't help them then have a platter of meat for lunch like a minute later in the vlog. Interesting.
Chance The Vegan No, it's not. Predator eats prey, it's natural. As a vegetarian myself, as much as I don't eat meat anymore, it doesn't mean that others shouldn't. If they want to, they can and they should. It doesn't mean that they don't love or care about animals.
Harini Bliss No that's exactly what that means. True that unfortunately people can eat meat if they want to, but that doesn't mean that they should. Do a little bit of research about the subject before saying illogical and unfounded statements like that. And when people start killing animals with their bare hands and teeth and eat it raw, asshole and all, like true predators, then I'll believe humans are actual predators.
You could ask the owner of the accommodation to ring the ENPA (Ente Nazionale Protezione Animali) to check on the Donkeys. PS. It's called PREMIUM ECONOMY on British Airways. It's between Economy and First Class.
I want to go out and make my own adventures, and i started to document them on youtube, if anyone could maybe check it out and give me some feedback, it would make my day, thanks again for the vlogs louis
Could be an older donkey is all that has a hard time keeping weight on Louis. Their feet look well maintained so it is safe to say that they are being cared for although maybe not as I would be doing it (Groomed/Wormed/Teeth etc...). Older horse's and donkey's seem to always be a challenge to keep weight on as they age. I say this based on experience of having an older horse that we had to do allot of extra TLC with supplements to aid with keeping the weight on. We lost him at age 25 due to age. Also take note that a horse be it just a horse or donkey needs to be dewormed. If not then that can also cause weight loss due to worms or if the teeth are in need of being cared for (Floated) they cannot chew their food properly to take in all of the nutrients needed and can lose weight due to that as well. We also had a mule at the ranch with the same issue, Extremely under weight that all of the boarder's would give extras to.
Honestly the first one looked old, they usually get skinny once they are older. The other one looked heavy enough. Donkeys are built with pretty prominent spines and hips. Also, there was plenty of grass for them to eat
You seem like such a nice and caring person, and what you said about those donkeys, that you would want to help them. If you really want to help helpless animals you should be a vegan.
The donkey's looked a little bit skinney, but their hoofs looked short (when they have longer hoofs they are not taken care of, because you "cut" their hoofs). And I could see some hay, and it looked like they had good fur-coat. So they look fine! :)
if you eat meant and dairy products it's pretty hypocritical of you to be concerned with animal welfare if at the end of the day you pay people to kill animals for you. probably something worth introspecting on.
Jesse Dodkins I don't think it's hypocritical at all. Just because a person eats meat doesn't mean that they don't have the capacity to care about the welfare of animals. Humans are Omnivores, we evolved to eat both a meat And a plant based diet. And it's not like humans are the Only carnivores on the planet. A lot of the time (I believe) other predators like the big cats and alligators and such start to eat their prey while it's still alive. In a perfect world, all animals that are used for food would be cared for and killed in the most humane ways possible, but sadly of course it's not like that. But try asking people like homesteaders or those who live on small family farms and things and raise animals for wool or meat or other purposes if they don't care about their animals. A lot of times those animals end up being cared for better than a lot of people. You shouldn't be so judgmental. Unless Louis was ever actually abusing animals (which I could Never see him doing anything like that based on his personality), no one has any right to judge his dietary choices
Jesse Dodkins One minute you're saying we're omnivores, next it's carnivores, which is it to be? If humans are omnivores or carnivores then animal products wouldn't be promoting disease within our bodies but when we stop eating animal products and eat a whole food plant based diet heart disease, diabetes and many others not just stop but completely reverse themselves (this is clinically proven in the books Prevent and revers heart disease and Neil barnards program for preventing and reversing diabetes. You don't think it's hypocritical because you are also hypocritical and I'm not attacking you personally at all. Most of westerners are hypocritical in the same way just like was before I dug deeper because of the cognitive dissonance we develop from our parents and the media as we grow up. If we were omnivorous then children and adults would have no problem with witnessing and carrying out the killing of the animals that we eat but instead it is hidden from our view and masked with names like bacon, beef, veal, mutton and if a child does find out that the bacon they are eating for breakfast is made from pigs like the one they petted at the open day then they don't want to eat it anymore. That's why meat consumption (especially pig meat) dropped dramatically after movies like Charlottes web and babe came out. If we were omnivores we wouldn't be concerned about humane treatment and killing of our food animals but even you admit that you are. If I pay a hit man to hunt you down and kill you is all the blame on the hit man? The same goes for killing animals, the consumer (Louis) pays farm workers to enslave and torture and slaughterhouse workers to to kill the animals but it is too judgmental to point out that the power lies with the person making the demand. If there is no demand made then the hit man has no one to kill. It is obvious by now and there is plenty of clinical evidence to back up that humans can thrive on a plant based diet so the suffering of food animals is completely unnecessary.
Louis .. I am sorry, but how can you possibly know whether those animals are being looked after? skinny, bony hips - sure. but they are in a cleared field behind a rail fence.
Magnum is the best ice cream I tried there is one Magnum that has 3 layers 1st layer was chocolate 2nd is dark chocolate 3rd is coffee ,and then the chocolate soft ice cream omg that's the best ice cream ever.

Just shush:) she can do whatever she wants.. Wild ones are probably more dangerous from germs and insects. Buying them is safer.

Shashwat Ashiya im pretty sure most people understand eating them like that isnt the best idea, i can have an opinion cant i?
I can't get enough of your videos! Love them all.

***** You obviously haven't been watching his vlogs for very long. He struggles a lot with his sleep patterns and is often very tired.

I want to go out and make my own adventures, and i started to document them on youtube, if anyone could maybe check it out and give me some feedback, it would make my day, thanks again for the vlogs louis
JR Alli ✰ Adventure :D
Stop self adveratising by doing this you are ruining TH-cam.
Option Butter lol over the top kid
Love to you Rachel, you're blog was about self love, and i feel that dynamic. You are beautiful as you are, you work very well as a human being x
Your videos are always the highlight of my day !!
Amazing video .. The Blade of Grass part had me smiling and wanting to try it for myself !! :D
Louis is in love with Rachel!!!
and already has two videos with the same shirt :S ough
Nick was hilarious when Louis was teaching how he communicate to animals
Today I learned something new from Louis, how to whistle with a grass :D :D :D
Louis looks like Dustin Brown
I thought the same when I saw him playing today on TV. LOL nice one mate
Apart from the dreads there is no resemblance, lets not get carried away...
Wonder if those animals will be okay...
I hope they are😢
Imo the donkeys are looking fine
Honestly the first one looked old, they usually get skinny once they are older. The other one looked heavy enough. Donkeys are built with pretty prominent spines and hips. Also, there was plenty of grass for them to eat
11Niri J i hope so too
That's just what donkeys look like when they are working animals and not toys for rich people
Beautiful scenery in Italy! Blessings come to those who wait for their flight ;)
love the music you used in this video!
You seem like such a nice and caring person, and what you said about those donkeys, that you would want to help them. If you really want to help helpless animals you should be a vegan.
Stop
+. God lol 'stop' XD
I have a lovebird and he actually immediately responded to the sounds at 4:36 aha
I'm meeting you at vidcon and I can't wait!!!
LOL my dog is twisting his head around , your grass trick definitely works
Louis loves animals so much, he is always around them haha
God bless those donkeys! and Louis for caring, let us all be like that xx
So I am new here. How big is the delay between the actual adventures and the vlogs? Just wondering :)
They have the espresso magnums in England! Came out a few months ago :)
The donkey's looked a little bit skinney, but their hoofs looked short (when they have longer hoofs they are not taken care of, because you "cut" their hoofs). And I could see some hay, and it looked like they had good fur-coat. So they look fine! :)
Oh my stars the lady at the beginning to intro the vlog was so cute!!! 😊
I've never seen little strawberries like that! They're so cute! I would definitely eat them. ^_^
My dog is going crazy when you're 'talking to the animals' :)
FunForLouis when are we gonna get the Android version of the app?, pls give us a date
Yay! I'm irrationally excited because it's me at the beginning! Thank you for using my intro at Glastonbury Festival Louis :)

Great vlog Louis! :)
Yaaas! you used Yuna's cover remix for your background music!
Love ya, Louis! You should really consider a kinder, compassionate lifestyle if you care so deeply for the animals and our planet. Go vegan :-)

my dogs went nuts when they heard the blade of grass. lol.
Those berries you found is not strawberries but I don't know what they are called in English but in Sweden we call them Smultron :D
if you eat meant and dairy products it's pretty hypocritical of you to be concerned with animal welfare if at the end of the day you pay people to kill animals for you. probably something worth introspecting on.
When is storie for android coming out?
Can anyone tellme where in Italy they were staying? Its was so very beautiful....
Your simply the best Louis!!!!
Louis I love u so much and I hope u can come to Cardiff one day xxx
Louis .. I am sorry, but how can you possibly know whether those animals are being looked after? skinny, bony hips - sure. but they are in a cleared field behind a rail fence.
The animals are okey its normal in the summer they go to the mountain pasture and they stay there and have all the gras to eat. Its tradition.
Amazing video Louis!
Woah!! just 6 min after!! I'm so early!!!
