What’s weird is I’ve seen Amy on various other shows and she’s just like a chill lady, but put her in front of a teleprompter and something just breaks.
It's the news. The news breaks.
And now she anticipates it so much it's like a doom spiral of laughter. It's great the cast enjoys it as much as we do.
I've seen her on "Uhm, Actually." show, she does actually laugh at a lot of things that are at best, giggle worthy.
If you give Amy a big red button that says "DO NOT PUSH," she can't help herself. Same concept with Breaking News.
it's the pressure of being told you can't laugh which makes it harder. like when someone says you can't scratch your nose and all of the sudden it starts getting itchy
One of the writers have to try either:
1. Making Amy say things that are completely normal to see how much she laughs anyway.
2. Make a script strictly made to make Amy laugh, to see how far they can get.
They need to design one where they get Katie to laugh but not Amy. Or just give Katie 50 points as a handicap. She would still beat Amy.

I like what someone said before, do an episode with three people who don't laugh (Katie, Lily and Brennan) AND Amy.
2. If you do this, she will literally die.
Lily just always looks like a dissapointed teacher when avoiding breaking and it is hillarious mixed with Amy's inability to go 2 seconds without bursting out into hysterics
Amy just seems like there is so much joy in her life to find everything so funny. She makes laughter contagious which is a real gift.

I've been wanting to see these two compete against each other for a long time, but it's no contest. I thought it might be closer, but Amy crumbles in just a couple of syllables.
