      Failing to manage geopolitical situations in India's neighbourhood is indeed a big failure of India's Govt & Intel agencies. It's more due to lack of "capacity" rather than "will" .

    I am not aware of Mr. Abhijit Chavda‬, I’m sure he is a very respected and knowledgeable person. All the best wishes from Bangladesh - but I would like to point out a few things that clearly proves either his lack of knowledge or ignorance about the Bangladeshi context, be it about the 2024 revolution against the Sheikh Hasina regime or the 1971 independence war.
    1. The 1971 war was an independence movement by the Bengali people for a separate Bengali nation, evident by the name Bangladesh. It was announced by the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib himself on the famous 7th March speech of 1971. The Bengali people then fought the war alone until December 3rd , 1971 when the Indian troops entered Bangladesh territory to help - which the Bangladeshi people deeply appreciates till today. So the topic of absorption of Bangladesh to India should not even come in arguments. I would request Mr. Chavda to share such comments, embarrass himself and ruin the good image that the Indian Army’s role played in the war.
    2. Secondly, regarding the 2024 Gen Z revolution against an authoritarian regime led by Sheikh Hasina - the statements referring to changing the media narrative in Bangladesh that was supposedly done “by the American or an opposing power to the then government of Sheikh Hasina”. Please refer to the links below announced by the media channels themselves after the fall of Sheikh Hasina, stating how the government controlled the media outputs. Even the internet was shutdown, not just the social media or communication platforms which saw regular shutdowns or blockades - all during the Quota protests. I’ve also taken the liberty and shared some links below for Mr. Chavda to read since he clearly did not get enough time to read through the protest details. This argument is to point out media and information could not be freely communicated with the general public or the protestors until after Sheikh Hasina fell.
    3. Thirdly, although started through a simple student movement against quotas, the protests turned deadly due to the government’s reaction towards the protests. Mind you, the Sheikh Hasina government had a country-wide student wing called the Chatra League, equipped and capable of disrupting unwanted protests and has been doing so for the past one and a half decades, proving successful in 2013 movement by opposition party Hefazat Islam, 2018 road safety movement, and also the 2018 then quota movement. The student wing also proved successful during the 2024 protest in its early days, causing serious casualties including bullet injuries and deaths at a time when the police were using “rubber bullets”. I’m talking about before July 19th , when the government announced a curfew. I have also attached some relevant links about bullet wounds in early days. Please note all of these news links are posted after August 5th , 2024, after the fall of the PM - due to the severe media control - further proving my second point.
    4. I have seen many good arguments and portrayals by Indian creators including Dhruv Rathee and Deshbhakt, who clearly does the research - be it for Bangladeshi cause such as the videos highlighting the Bangladeshi citizens when protest were ongoing and our media was silent, or be it and even criticizing us which is done so brilliantly. Please follow Deshbhakt’s video on Bangladeshi attacks on minorities like Hindu - which shows both the attacks against Hindus that are mostly politically motivated towards Awami League corrupted politicians [be it hindu or muslim] and even highlighting the misinformation being spread.
    I request content creators to invite knowledgeable person who has the capability of delivering some good arguments and opinions - that prove helpful both India and Bangladesh, even the world. I also request content creators to refrain from inviting ignorant speakers who did not have the time or courtesy to read about the country or actions about a country’s citizens before commenting on them.
    I want to state I was really curious about this video to learn something, as I did in many podcasts to learn about what other countries are thinking about us Bangladeshis and how we can be better - but this was by far the worst TH-cam video and most ignorant speaker I’ve ever seen.
    Thank you all for your attention. Please feel free to correct my opinions, as I’d love to hear about your perspectives on this too. You may disregard my opinions thinking I’m biased, so I’d request you ask another expert about this. I haven’t commented on any conspiracy theories as they are not evident, and they’re mere speculation. Same way Mr. Chavda is speculating US intelligence involvement, the Bangladeshi majority are speculating RAW involvement in our former government - thus some of the hates against India that you are seeing. I will keep such speculation as conspiracy theories until I find any solid proof, and I’d suggest everyone does that too.

    I’ve been listening to Abhijit Chavda in the last 72 hours about what India can or cannot do about the Bangladesh situation. Obviously, Abhijit is a geopolitical expert and I am NOT. I accept the limitations of my knowledge.
    However, I have been reflecting on this and I humbly and respectfully disagree with his views that India will be ruined by western sanctions…We will certainly face some financial difficulties, but we will NOT be ruined/devastated as he suggests. Because we have survived economic sanctions of the West previously, when we conducted our nuclear weapons test in Pokharan under Vajpayee's leadership. Today’s India is not the same as of 1998 and we are economically, militarily and politically far more stronger to handle sanctions if it comes to that.
    As AC rightfully said, "economic development" is critical for India as it drives military and political power as well. However, look at what's happening in the UK, EU and other nations where Islamists/Jihadists have infiltrated the political establishment, ransacked these countries despite being a small percentage of the local population. It is NOT at all wise to let things fester when you can nip them in the bud by prompt and timely action.
    Also, Abhijit mentioned in this podcast that he expects the USA to acquire St.Martin’s Island near Bangladesh and set up a military base over there in the next 2-3 years. Once this happens, it will be near impossible for India to uproot the USA from its neighbourhood (even if India becomes a $25 Trillion economy). Which is why re-sizing Bangladesh seems critical and necessary to me. If the USA can play dirty to protect its interests, why can’t India do what is in its best interests???
    Consider this - Of what use has India's growing economic and political stature been recently, when it couldn't control riot, arson, loot and deaths that happened in the last few years under CAA-NRC, Bangalore riots, Farmer's protest, Agniveer, Manipur and so on....Badhti economic power ke saath humne kya ghanta ukhaad liya???? Yes, economics matters, but it is not the panacea to all problems. You need different solutions for different challenges.
    Consider this - Russia’s GDP is $2 Trillion, while India’s GDP is $3.75 Trillion. After the Russia Ukraine war, all the western nations ganged up against Russia and imposed heavy sanctions on it. Yet, Russia actually made more money from the war and its economy DID NOT collapse because of the sanctions.
    Russia’s assets abroad were frozen, its economy cut off from the global financial system, its energy exports targeted.
    Faced with the prospect of economic collapse, the world thought that Russia will be permanently decimated.
    But, twenty-seven months on, the war is still going on. Far from being crippled, Russia’s economy is growing. The International Monetary Fund predicts that Russia will record economic growth of 3.2% this year. Caveats aside, that’s still more than in any of the world’s advanced economies.
    Looking back in history, during his lifetime, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was NEVER equal to Aurangzeb in terms of military capabilities. His band of soldiers were ordinary citizens like farmers, iron smiths, potters, weavers etc. Yet, he had the smarts to know how to win against his opponents despite having a smaller army and limited capabilities. Maharaj knew how to maximize his strengths and minimize his weaknesses. If Maharaj would have waited to grow equally powerful as Aurangzeb, then “Hindavi Swaraajya” would have remained just a pipe dream.
    Likewise, Maharana Pratap fought against Mughals working together with unskilled tribals. The world is full of stories where underdogs (Davids) have beaten seemingly insurmountable opponents (Goliaths). You need to the “will” and the “mindset” that thinks this is”possible” if done the right way.
    In my humble opinion, TIME is giving India a "once in a lifetime opportunity" to resolve the Bangladeshi infiltration issue, the Siliguri corridor issue, and the regional imbalance of power. India must step up, annex some Bangladeshi lands (along with the St. Martin’s island before US acquires it) and absorb them into India so that the Hindu refugees can be settled over there. This will also balance demographics in North East of India against the rampant Christian/Islamic conversions in that region. Yes, this will cause some discomfort in the short run...but it will payoff in the long run. It will deter China/USA's influence in the region to a great extent. When you are dealing with the wicked...think and act like the wicked.
    Otherwise, sit on your ass twiddling thumbs and keep blaming "DESTINY".

    • @bharatbidhuri1894
      @bharatbidhuri1894 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      It’s a good strategy keeping in mind the refugee influx we are going to see and seeing for past many decades but the main hindrance in annexing parts of Bangladesh is simply that we aren’t Russia and even Russia has to play its cards right in settling people in the Luhansk and Donetsk region of Ukraine and slowly spread the propoganda of people wanting to unite with Russian motherland and that case is simply not here, moreover the US simply won’t allow India to annex Bangladeshi territories when in the 1st place they wanted to remove Hasina and have a pro us govt there to counterbalance india.

    What Mr. Chavda is speaking about on the Ukraine front is the Maidan Revolution that was orchestrated by the West in 2014 in Ukraine to oust Victor Yanukovych because he wanted to do a trade deal with Russia. Yanukovych had to leave Ukraine and another leader took his place who was closer to the West. In fact, the coup is part of a series of provocations that the West is responsible for against Russia. Others include NATO expansion, financing the Chechen War, EU expansion. These were the precursor to the first annexation of Crimea.
    The US foreign policy is based on the idea of a liberal hegemon who finds itself in a unipolar geopolitical position and finds it utterly conceivable to export democracy and liberalism outside of its territory.
    However, ever since the fall of the Soviet Union, this policy has failed as we live in a time when the old empires have fallen and sovereign nation-states have taken their place.

      People were so angry at her that they want to delete everything that is related to her.
      On that day 10 to 15 lak people were on street in Dhaka. How many people they could shoot. Bangladesh army has heart, and parliament was not destroyed but occupied by some times.
      And lastly no minority were attacked by protesters or oppositions or Muslims. There were some incidents, but it was caused by Hasina's follower to create tension, but it was stopped by common people.
      All the attacks were politically motivated. only two hindu killed so far. One is police and another one is political party leader. They were attacked not because they were hindu but they were Hasina party member and part of police force.

The election has never happened in Bangladesh since 2014 (You will witness dead people have also voted for ruling party on multiple occasion, just one example), Indian government wanted Hasina to stay because of their own benefit. Like giving away the authority of Mongla Port or creating a military base camp near Feni most geographically most crucial point for Bangladesh. And at the most, the water terrorism, India can do without any form of accountability. Most of our river has dried out because multiple dam and man created canal on the upstream. And for more information please search yourself about Aynaghar, money laundering, extra judicial killing, extortion. It's very easy to say anything sitting in an AC room but our cry for a democracy and a peaceful nation has always been a comedy show for Indian people. Every single year we face drought and flood. And here he comes and says she was elected by people. She was a dictator, dictator and a DICTATOR!!!

    This "Geopolitical Expert" is so expert in creating a compelling narrative, I myself - a Bangladeshi who's living at the center where this revolution happened and have more than a decent experience working in the Govt. and the UN to understand the situation better than 99.99% of the population - is starting to believe in this story. 👏

    • @jeetshah9348
      @jeetshah9348 25 วันที่ผ่านมา +12

      It appears that the "narrative" differs as per ideology/religion. When I look at videos put by Bangladeshi Hindus- the picture appears to be entirely different to what Bangladeshi Muslims want the world to believe.Besides the insecurities of Bangladeshi Hindus also make sense- since during the 1971 war too- Bangladeshi Hindus were disproportionately targetted and massacred, raped and tortured. Today, when collaborators in that war are highly pitched to assume power- these insecurities and what's happening on the streets does make sense to many.

    • @RazMRahman-ju1uv
      @RazMRahman-ju1uv 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@jeetshah9348 Really! Your source of this information - disproportionality - is the videos you're watching? This is how you want to get your mind to be made that Bangladesh isn't protective enough of or are so violent against Hindus? I'd request you to watch what the leaders of the Hindu communities are saying - they vehemently deny the disproportionality.
      You should watch what the students, particularly the so called "Mulla" students, have guarded hindu temples day and night - this is a testament to the harmony among different religious beliefs. You should watch how Hindu factions (politically benefitted ones of course) tried to vandalize their own temples to gain this narrative - a lot of cases have come out which you won't see. Also, you should watch what BBC has reported on debunking the false reports.
      Now, coming to the violence - were people and their properties vandalized - yes. Were there any Hindu - yes. Was it disproportionate - categorically NO.
      It's not about religious ideology - rather political ideology - the Hindu homes or temples were vandalized (may be around 200 cases, and 3 unfortunate reported killings, which I vehemently condemn), they were mostly Awami-league supporters who were attacked by the agrieved people - even Hindu people at those communities agreed to that - not because they were "HINDUs" - which you my Indian and Hindu brother would love to believe. If you ask the Hindus in Bangladesh if they'd leave Bangladesh and settle in India if they were given the opportunity - I'm sure 95% would refuse this offer - my own village, where my retired parents and extended family lives, is comprised of 55% Hindu majority, I know it with 100% certainty.
      In the case of 1971, yes Hindus were disproportionately targetted - by then West Pakistan army - which is what eventually led us (including the majority of Bangladeshi or then East Pakistan Muslims) stood against and fought for liberation - the liberation wasn't only for the Muslims, it was for all the people including the Hindus. However, the Hindu population was reduced to half, not because they were persecuted but because they took refuge in India and never returned - it was believed to be in between 10-15 million in number. So please don't take it with a different narrative.
      Coming to the collaborators - the student movement is comprised of people from all walks of life including all religious groups - it's the youth that mattered the most, not what religious beliefs they come from - even, if you want to believe it or not, there were no Madrasa (Islamic schooling system) students directly participating in the protests - because they didn't want this protest to painted as religiously motivated movement and to not allow the Dictator Sheikh Hasina to spin the narrative into a religious thing - which she did for the last 16 years to divide the country and still trying to do it while staying in your country.
      To one brother to another - don't fall for this and believe what these half-learned analysis show/tell you - talk to anyone from Bangladesh, let it be a Hindu if you want. These narratives are being made only because there's a motive behind it - what that is, time will tell - but don't fall for it.
      I hope this clarifies - if not, then Allah/God help us.

      @@bagdaderchur1351 unfortunately India wants to concentrate in its own affairs, however bangladeshi unrest followed by migration disrupts that.
      Talking about the condition of Muslims in India and Hindus in Bangladesh- one major indicator could be the % of these communities in their respective countries over the years. While Muslim population in India has increased over the years (infact, Muslims produce more children than any other community in India) the % of hindus has come down drastically in Bangladesh with most of them fleeing to India.
      Not only are Indian Muslims secure in India, but it appears even Bangladeshi Muslims prefer India and do not leave a chance to enter illegally.
