I think your weathering looks really cool and realistic,i did try it once on a class 55 and 08 shunter, but it made a right mess,I do like weatherd look sometimes. But i aint good enough to do it correctly, less is more i suppose.i leave everything pristine now.thanks though
Hello there. Nice work, great video. My tip: I also use powders from scrubbed pastel chalks. Brings lots of nuance with a great variety of colours. I apply them with make-up applicator, the little sticks with small sponges at the ends the ladies use to put eye powder. My second tip: have your own, don't take Mrs. Bunters' ;-)
Nice one, man. :) The moulded detail is really nice on those and your expert weathering really brings out the depth between those frames and panels. :)
Evening Buddy. Your technique has really shone on this model 👍🏻 It’s really impressive how your imagination turns the models into something realistic 😄 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Have a lovely Easter 🐣 weekend cheers Stevie 😎
Thank you. The final layer coat is Vallejo Matt varnish. For intermediate lacquers (in-between paints) I'll use an enamel laqcuer such as humbrol, because it won't be affected by the thinners etc and your earlier work won't be damaged. I'll put some links in the description
That looks amazing. You make it look so easy, but I still struggle to achieve natural looking weathering.
Thank you. I've seen your work and they look pretty good to me
@@BuntersYard - That is very kind but, you sir, are clearly Tier 1 when it comes to weathering!

Its just a bit of practice. Try it out on old, scrap wagons. I have a whole box of broken rolling stock!!
Love your work. It has given me the confidence to have a go at some of my older, more disposable rolling stock. Thank you.
That’s great to hear. My work here is done 😎

Wise words Antoine 😉
Great detail in the video.Take care
Many thanks Dave. Have a good weekend
Great weathering! What paints did you use in the airbrush for the roof and creating the faded paint look?

Thank you. The detail on the dapols is quite nice and sharp. A wash or powder brings it out nicely

Great video and great affect. What lacquer do you use if you don’t mind me asking?
Thank you.

@@BuntersYard Thank you. Greatly appreciated.
Looks bob on that one bud 👍🏻
Thanks Matthew. Happy to entertain you again 😁
@@BuntersYard haha as long as u dont start charging 😂
😂😂 all donations gratefully received
Can I ask if you use oil paints , do you have to seal to stop it scratching off and how long would oil paints take to dry?
You’d need to give the oils a day to dry properly. I’d always suggest a lacquer coat over any work as I’d give extra durability from handling
@@BuntersYard thank you.. that really helps. 👍🏻

Thank you. Glad you liked it
