Venture Denied Card
I just finished this video, and I applied for the venture x . I got approved for a 10k limit. I have the savor one & now venture x. Thank you Carl this is my second credit card period. I was shooting for the capital one duo for a while now

Not sure how I was approved for this card last week, but here's some data points:
TransUnion 810 Equifax 816 Experian 810
3/24 (2 inquiries in the last 4 months)
9 open CC accounts
19 year credit history
No derogatory marks
No Capital One relationship
Approved w/ 30K limit

One more CC account, maybe 10 would of been he breaking point. I have similar credit scores, inquiries, and year. The big difference is I have 30 CCs.

I'm done with Capital One. I first asked for a credit increase so that my credit usage could stay under 30%. Mind you I paid 100% every month. They denied me. They did me a favor. I applied for an AMEX and Chase, both approved with much higher credit limit and way more benefits. Capital One automatically raised my credit limit. Too little too late. I retired my Capital One card.
Capital One was traditionally a bank that catered to higher risk individuals. Now that their portfolio has grown, it's assumed that the card you have is part of their collection of receivables in a higher risk tier. This means those accounts have restrictions and a much higher interest rate. I guess from their perspective it makes no sense to grant a credit limit increase in their high risk group because they will still have to do a credit pull anyway. If that's the case then you can take the hit on a hard pull and apply for a different product and receive a higher credit limit on the new card rather than a small increase on an existing card.
Dude the Capitol One approval hack is having money in their online savings account. I was denied twice for a Savor card while having a Quicksilver card with a $4,400 limit and Walmart card with a $500 limit. I applied in December in 2022 for a Savor card with a $7000 limit. Having a Capital one savings account with a $16,500 balance got me approved!!!
It’s all about relationships; my emergency fund is with capital one 360 savings 😊
I opened a checking account with C1 first then opened the Venture X only a few months later. Having a banking relationship with C1 can help regardless of how many cards you have.
My oldest credit card, issued by Capital One Bank, is the only one that doesn't raise my limit by more than $300 every two years. Anyway I love their check account.
My oldest cap 1 card has a limit of only 300 $ total. 😂
I have a 785 cs and they won't up the limit but just gave me a $4000 Savor card. 🤦🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
I would suggest if one is denied twice then just let it go. No need to stick on it. Similarly when you play tennis if you keep loosing points when trying to hit the exact same spot, then just DON'T try to hit it

That’s crazy man, I got approved for the card this past week. I was 1/4 & 1/24. I did the pre approval tool and the card was there, only reason I applied. Guess I’m their target audience.
Capital one seems to be denying me constantly. The pre-approval says I don't qualify for anything even though I have the savor one and a checking account with them. I also have 8 other credit cards and a 750 credit. I'll stick to my Chase Preferred. Maybe I'll try the reserve for lounge access, but I'm giving up on the venture x. Maybe I'll be a little petty and close my checking as well lol

Hello cal I have a question about 6% utilization that I let report to the credit bureau I use capital one platinum card and when it reported my credit wise score that I get dropped 5 points, it says because I went from 0% to 6%. Can you explain why , please because i thought it supposed to be to go up
21 and planning to get the Venture x next year. Already have the student savor one I got last august with a 800 limit, discover it with 4250 limit, and Hilton honors with 26k limit. Doubt I was bucketed for the savor one as I applied for the student version.
Great and helpful informational video bro! I got approved for the Venture X last year in May 2023 w CL of 30K. I want the SavorOne next, but I am currently gardening my 5/24 so I can get Chase Ink cards as well. I'm right at 5/24, I won't drop down to 4/24 until October this year. Is getting approved for the SavorOne as strict as being approved for the Venture X?

You can probably get approved, but getting the $200 welcome offer seems to be a lot harder with a good credit history. If that's the make or break, good luck, but if you're fine without it, getting the Savor One itself isn't too difficult.

I have capital one savor one 2yrs 6k limit, Capital One Quicksilver 2 1/2 yrs 6k, Capital One Venture One 5.5k 1 yr 9 months. I have Apple card 1 yr 3k limit, Verizon CC 8 months 5k limit. I have a bankruptcy chapter 7 from 6/2021. Credit utilization is under 10 percent. I applied for the venture x and was instantly approved for 20k. It is my highest limit cc.

Forgot to mention that I even had a previous capital one card $700.00 limit that I included in my bankruptcy. They gave me the Quicksilver 6 months post BK. The limit they gave me was 3k.

i have savorone although they gave me a low credit limit. 10% back on uber is cool. with 1-3% cashback on other categories.
I was approved for the Capital One Venture X card last year. However that was thru a product upgrade offer which I accepted. So not sure if that counts.

I applied and got denied and then I applied again two months later and got approved with nothing different on my end. Didn’t use the pre-approval tool, either. My stats at the time: platinum, gold, and pretty old elan card both 2yrs old, and a credit score in mid high 700s. Who knows? Great card, though. I think the high amount of rejections makes people want it even more.

I think it is the old debt to income ratios affect working here. Does one really need 5 or 6 personal credit cards plus? It is expensive for a bank to obtain and keep a loyal customer base. In the end all of those points and perks get paid for by customers and vendors in the form of fees or some type of price increase one way or another. I am good with 3 lines of credit.

Because alot of people only get it for the welcome bonuses, then after a year most people just cancel 😂. Specially people with multiple credit cards. Even if you have a 800 credit score, whats the point if getting the venture x if you have the platinum amex or the chase sapphire reserve. They know u only getting it fir the welcone bonus
Really enjoyed this video. I was approved for a Chase Prime Visa in 20 seconds, yes 20 seconds with a $20k limit. Capitol One is doing a hard pull for a $10k limit increase on an existing card. Make it make sense. I don’t need it and am a high-income, high-credit score customer.
I have 3 capital one cards one of them is a venture card and my credit is around 600. No late payments. And only making minimum payments each months.
I've never been denied for a Chase, Amex, USB, BoA, or Capital One card. And that's with a uber fast velocity.
But now if I can get Citi to approve me for a Premier.. 😂

After being denied for this card 3x in the last 1.5 years I finally got approved for 30K. Using the pre approval link really helped.
I have three Capitol One cards a platinum and two quick silver cards.
When I had just the platinum and the quick silver, I tried to get them to increase my quick silver credit line from my $500. limit, they refused to do it.
I applied for a new quick silver card and they gave me a $3,000. limit LOL go figure.
The opposite is true for me. I got a VX this fall with 30k in February I got a savor one with 5k. I had an OG quick silver from a decade ago with a 10k. It doesn’t make sense, but I have what I need and like the rewards so I can’t complain

Well if you have alot of capital one cards. It already makes sense because they are calculating all of your credit with them. It would make sense they would rather you product change a card you already have with them just to make it your main card. And i also guess they dont want you to get the bonuses.

Where Capital One differs from Amex/Chase....they simply want people who carry over balances and pay interest over those who don't. If you carry over balances with them they'll prove you instantaneously
What is the point of turning on the AI-generated captions if you are not going to correct the errors? It's just distracting seeing "Ventrex" instead of "Venture X" and "AmEx boot cash" instead of "Amex Blue Cash" - or my favorite from this video at 14:02 "not getting the VLKOM offer" instead of "...welcome offer". If you really want captions, maybe enter them manually using your script (or pay someone to do it), so they'll be correct, instead of just turning on the auto-generated garbage. It really detracts from your content (which is otherwise quite good).
