Oh wow, that's me! Thank you so much Merriam - I looove your videos! 😍❤️ I'm soo confused because I always thought my skin is super yellow hence I'm warm. And I thought I have rather ingenue essence than ethereal. 😄 Aaand I thought I'm a romantic because I have a clear defined waist and look way smaller than I actually am (but maybe that's because I didn't have any pictures attached where one can see my full size). 😅 Although I always wondered why I look good in classic lines. But there one can see what a difference it makes to have a professional analyze you!
Would you be interested in talking about what suits people with medium levels of contrast best? There isn't a lot out there about them, especially medium contrast with dark hair & eyes.
Thank you for your personal typing by email, it brought so much clarity to me. I'd love to see more videos on Beveled Soft, especially modern and business clothing.
I love these kinds of videos and I have missed your content so much. I would also love to see you talk about the red tones in the skin to further determine, which colors are the best, as you did in the hair color video. I am muted and warm toned, but have no red in my skin, so I look far better in yellow toned, warm colors, but grey, blue and other cool, muted and blue toned colors look pretty good on me as they aren't bright or red toned. I also look better in a bright green, gold or yellow than a bright, warm red or orange, even though bright colors of any kind can overwhelm me. I feel like your videos have really made me see why other typing systems always had some flaws and I never understood why so many people in the same category as me did not have any similarity to my skin tone and why some colors recommendations never worked for me. Sending much love from a former toasted autumn 🤣 btw the category is from an extended category of an extended version from the seasons system
That's really an excellent idea to analyze your subscribers. Unfortunately I can't afford a consult with you because my country's currency is SOOO devalued, but I think your methode is quite better than the usual one... This weekend I'm gonna took some pictures and subscribe into your website and cheer that you may choose them anytime to a video
Aw thank you Karen! When you submit photos for these kinds of videos, try to include photos taken over the past few years (as opposed to mirror selfies which can skew proportions).
Merriam, I wonder if you would talk about creating an optical illusion with colors. For example I have olive warm skin tone if I wear red I look lighter in competition. If I wear a muted purple I look super tan and dark skinned but I never tan this is just depends on the color I swear. I have used this to my advantage when I want to look like I got a tan I just wear 🟣 purple with purple eye makeup and I get a lot of people asking me if I got a tan. When I want to look lighter I just wear a rust color red and and with the makeup the same rust color red and it tends to create the appearance like my complexion is brighter lighter than it is. It's like an optical illusion because I am just olive skin tone in my complexion.
I would love to see a video on natural white/silver (coolish) hair and warm/delicate skin tone. I just can't figure out how to pull those together for myself.
Loved this free flowing and concise analysis. I got everything you said and I learnt a lot. I have a video request for the Friends cast... Jen, Courtney and Lisa. Was Lisa dressed for her character? Or for her type?
Hi Merriam, I love your videos and I'm excited to see you back. I have a video request, I'm a soft gamine and I really really like this brand 'Bunastudio', but I don't think I can buy any of their dresses could you break down this brand for all kibbe body types and what dresses (and other types clothes) would suit them? Thank you
......i thought she did a really good job explaining what a blended soft is in the video. but hey, go check out her earliers videos as they do an excellent job explaining the kibbe types and then the typing system merriam came up with that includes blended, mixed, sharp, soft and the mixed up types like sharp/soft blended, sharp/soft mixed, and the sharpened soft type or softened sharp type. which are obviously akin to flamoyant romantic and soft dramatic. mixed is more like gamine and blended is more like classic. i find merriams system better than kibbes.
Merriam, thank you!!! I found your channel this week, and have been watching video after video. We’re in lockdown in Sydney at the moment, so it’s been a real treat to learn about your theories through these fabulous educational videos. I have a random question, what happens if you’re a Soft Classic and Cool and Radiant? Trying to figure out how to execute an understated style when my most flattering colours are highly saturated violets, cobalts, magentas and emeralds. 😬 Any advice is much appreciated. 🙌
Hi! I was wondering if it would be possible to address going out and dressier options for a pure natural? Online, ppl seem to focus more on soft naturals and flamboyant naturals outfits in general which just are not suitable for pure natural. As well, I find casual wear very easy to find but always look overdressed when I go out or if I need to be in formal wear. Thanks for your videos :)
I was wondering about accessories. About everything in my face is round, except my chin, which is smooth. Should I wear stuff that goes with smooth or round? If I wear round, would that highlight the non-round chin or will the smooth accessory highlight my roundness? Also, I think that my body type is romantic. How does it work? Thank you so much.
i dont think that certain dances fit certain types - dancing doesn't really work like that IMO - but i think the typical "uniform" for certain dances is what would go with the lines of a person. a person who is natural would like fit best in with the tribal fusion uniform whereas a blended or mixed would go best with salsa and a sharp would go with go-go.
Hi Rachael, did you book through the website? If so, you should have gotten a confirmation email. Unfortunately I can't always get to all inquiries so I prioritize client emails!!
I came to realize that Kibbe body typing is not flattering for anyone who doesn not a Romantic or Classic body type. I want to feel and enjoy being a woman. I stick to body shapes that help me achieve the balanced look. I do not understand the hate body shapes have as women still use make up contouring and highlighting that fits their face shape to look as close as possible to an oval. It's hypocritical. But I leave it at that.
It depends on what you view as “flattering”, I’ve seen alot of yin types admiring and envying yang types and vice versa, it’s just human nature to be like that
Totally disagree. I'm a romantic type and I often envy the Dramatic and Natural types because they look so much more mature to me and their clothes are more easily available in current fashion. Kibbe's system and definitely Merriams system helped me with accepting what type of body I have because it's all about just understanding what makes your type look a certain way.
Can you do best hairstyles for body types and best hair color for skin tones?
Omg yes please!
Aly Art has a great and very concise video of hair for the types
Waiting for it too...
This please, hair styles for the body types !!!!!!!!!!!!

So pretty!
I love this video! Primarily because it helps me test my eye! And I think I am getting much better at seeing the lines and colors.
These are my favorite type of videos!!

Thiss!!
Thank you for your personal typing by email, it brought so much clarity to me. I'd love to see more videos on Beveled Soft, especially modern and business clothing.
After years of questioning I realized I'm blended soft 🙂
What a beauty she is
Woohoo! Pretty convinced I'm blended soft and this video was super helpful, thank you!
This lady looks beautiful in both hair colours, but darker one looks slightly better IMHO
Your long hair is very pretty🌻 Great content; the images are lovely and incredibly useful.
Wow! Your hair has grown! Was so excited to see this pop up 😀
Does blended soft = soft classic?
@@sham9411 yes
@@alenka15alma thank you 💗
This is fascinating. Your brilliant attention to detail is exquisite!

your voice is truly amazing
I hope there's also a photo that shows what doesn't suit her to know what to avaoid

Great video 👍
Thank you so much for sharing this valuable content! I'm learning so much in such a short period of time! It's still very hard though 😅😅
I hope you do a video with a subscriber that has a warm and delicate skin tone. It’s so hard to tell the difference between delicate skin tones.

Soft Classic

Can i send my pics to you for make analyze for me 🙊?
This was very interesting and informative to watch.
Where can I submit my photo?

I saw that you do color analysis. What all do you get when you book a color analysis?
Wait wait, rounded mixed is closest to TR in kibbe type? Wouldn’t it be SG or am I just confused
Mixed-Soft is closest to Soft Gamine.

I tried to suggest another body type system on r/vindicta and got downvoted. People called it "disgusting" lol. They're just really addicted to Kibbe

Your information is great. I would like to hear what you have to say. Please work on not making your voice like a whisper in your videos.
Personally I like it and find it soothing 🤷♀️
