My elementary school sang this, I remember a bunch if 5th graders singing this. I was a high soprano so I sang the part at the end where they are saying aaa. Now I'm an alto 😭
This is one of those songs that once you hear it you can't forget it. I haven't listened to the song since chior earlier today at school and it's all that's been playing in my head since. Love the sing btw ♡
We're about to sing this in my chorus. We've only learned the first set of 'la's. .... Now that I know what's coming I'm preparing for some difficult harmonies. EDIT: Its been almost a whole year now since this concert. And for the record it went awesome, I still love this piece EDIT, ONCE MORE: Nowadays I'm part of an advanced four-part choir and these harmonies have been reduced to but a PIECE OF CAKE. Doing pieces like Witness (composed by Jack Halloran) or Come to Me (composed by Dan Forrest) make this feel so simple. However, I do admit, I come back to this song every now and again simply because it's catchy.
I remember singing this last year for one of my choir songs, I was alto singing this, and all I can remember is the pianist going absolutely crazy, she was AMAZING
Thanks so much! In my elementary school we are singing this and I don't remember much so this really helps! I'm the low part which is some what confusing as well.
I remember doing this in elementary school district chorus. I sang soprano 2 back then, now I sing as a bass 2 with a Bb1 as my lowest note lol Crazy how the times change
My choir is doing this 🥲 I'm an alto lol, it's challenging for us considering none of us know any french, but once we get past pronunciation I think we'll do well!✌️
In choir all my friend bop our heads to that part, I can't help myself from laughing so in the end of the song everyones distracted because I'm laughing to hard.
I remember in middle school my choir sang this, and because I speak French I had to go to the front of the class and teach everyone how the words were pronounced 😭😭😭
In seventh grade rn, and we gotta sing this as one of our songs in a concert I’m not complaining tho, I like this song Turns out we never did due to covid, lmao- I’m in ninth grade now
I sang this in year4 and the (ex year 3's) started singing it in choir a week ago. All of us sixes (who did it) looked at them so quickly and said ‘How the fuck do you know that song?’ It was so fun to do
Were going to sing this in a spring festival in choir and this song is just catchy the moment you listen to it you never forget it. EDIT: We are also singing it for another concert we have Btw Im a Soprano 1 I have Descant
I sang this with a Mens Choir, it’s pretty cool. If only there were only a men’s version on TH-cam, I’m sure there is, but I honestly can’t find one:/ I was doing the bass part. Or the lower part of you please (alto is what I am sure it’s for girls) it was always so hard for the rest of the basses though because they would get confused and would do the tenor part🤦🏽♀️ it’s all good though.
I’m doing this for a school tour for choir and we have to sing this song. We use numbers instead of words (Firsts= high notes, Seconds= low notes, Descant= higher notes), so I’m a second and a descant. I hope this kind of made sense, cuz I didn’t know how to word this🥲
My elementary school sang this, I remember a bunch if 5th graders singing this. I was a high soprano so I sang the part at the end where they are saying aaa. Now I'm an alto 😭
That's me as well Ashiikkuraa
I was your 69th like btw, and I'm here for the same reason as you!
Ashiikuraa the “aaa” part is descant btw in case you didn’t know 🙂
Meh too! I learned the English and French version
Today at school we were learning this
This is one of those songs that once you hear it you can't forget it. I haven't listened to the song since chior earlier today at school and it's all that's been playing in my head since. Love the sing btw ♡
