- I picked up some fab bamboo pen holders from Kmart to use in my craft room to store a variety of art and craft supplies. Wanting to inject my own flavour into them, I used acrylic paint, resin and polymer clay to decorate them. Some turn out how I planned, and others just look rubbish. Which medium did I struggle with the most? Watch and find out.
These turned out so cool!
I absolutely love the resin one. It is so my style. I wish you could see it through my eyes. All of your boxes are extra awesome. Just the resin box is my fav!😊
Omg! I love all of these. Such different ideas for each one. My favorite is the one that you painted and glued the diamond beads on.
Thank you 😊
you are very creative!
awwww, thanks ☺
I like the resin one🎉 and the others too 🎉
These are neat! One tip - if you are using tape with acrylic paints to keep a nice edge you have to peel the tape while the paint is wet OR run a blade next to the tape before peeling it. Your edges will be much nicer. 😊
Great tip, thank you🥰
I really like the squiggly polymer clay one. It is more abstract and free flowing!! 🥰 But I also like the blingy ones as I love bling, lol!! 💖 Great work coming up with all these ideas!! 👏👏 Three pencil holders wouldn't have been nearly enough anyhow!! 👍 I'm glad you were careful about how you set your stick of clay next to the two rounded bits of clay... might have been x-rated!! 😉🤣
😆 thank you Karen
I think the free flowing one just needs a little something more. Maybe little flowers and leaves would help as it reminds of a tree or vines with the way in winds around the box.
Or you could go for a more underwater theme as in also reminds me of coral
I actually MUCH prefer matte finishes on just about anything.
