Because of the peacoat reward you get at The Watch almost everything under it isn't seen. Mine were 257 GS IIRC, so I kept them on my characters. Aesthetically I prefer the Explorer set as it just gives that "old school adventurer" vibe. Happy that Fabled bits change the colors somewhat now, but I hope there will be a dying process similar to how paint is added for items. A transmog feature would be outstanding and give players a lot more freedom in how they look. For all it's faults and flaws, this game in Early Access is amazingly playable, and generally fun. REALLY looking forward to new weapons like elephant guns, howdah pistols, pump or lever action shotguns, and more knives like kukris and cavalry sabers. Great breakdown of the current sets, you covered everything important!
Fire Miasma and Injury are the most important resistances, maybe poison aswell if you do alot of swamp hunting because of harpies and the poisonous rats. Injury is good versus mobs that shove you around and avoid injury when blocking vs melee enemies. I actually went ahead and tried to compare the explorer vs the calcularian set in terms of movement speed and concluded that they offer the same bonus with the best movement speed materials at my disposal. The bases being different does not mean one set is better as there are some stats you can only get on certain materials. Health on metal for example is only found on pawn automaton ingots. And I was looking at strenght on meat/hide and I could only find one mob that has that, and its one of the charging ones in the swamp. With best in slot materials and no boosting I got my calcularian backpack with infusion and minor card up to 519 carryweight. My overall movement speed is at 15% now, although I think I can go slightly faster. Getting the best materials requires quite a bit of luck and grinding, and for now since only T3 drops specific realms. For the best carryweight you want to hunt the legendary pawn which requires a very high powered rifle because he keeps running away. And you need to find his spawn in a 160+ desert realm so he drops T3. For the best movement speed I just discovered yesterday you want to kill lvl 160+ harpies until you get lucky and get legendary drops from normal harpies, as their leather has 30% ! movement speed on them. Together with the talisman that gives you a movement speed buff after casting a spell you will be really really fast on foot. Another thing I discovered is that for some reason I was able to at one point craft an umbrella with almost 10% resistances to all. I don't know if it was a specific umbrella, and all later ones did not have any. On some items you can also force them to have magic on them but only as 0.1. That includes some gear that usually does not have magic. That might be a bug though. Overall, I don't think magic on gear is worth it right now, since the bonus is very small and requires concessions for health or stamina chosing those materials. And the base values are to small to make a significant difference. The most magic value comes from the currently held weapon.
On Friday I got the Calcularium bundle and upgraded all the gear to epic. The devs need to explain in the armour/clothing section of a trader exactly what is actually available to be crafted when we scroll over a Bundle. I had to guess that the entire outfit would be available to craft and hoped that I wasn't just getting 1 or 2 items. The learning curve on this game is so obnoxious that I know quite a few people that were put off by it.
@jade at 6:58 the Jaunty Gear looks like a female dress for us we get the male version despite having female charaters.. is there something we need to do while crafting to get specific design clothing? Also nice video^^
Do you know where the twitch drop set comes in? Seems like it was better than my trapper stuff, but not sure where it fits with the other sets. Great guide! This helped me decide what was useful to make and what to skip
So... if you got the twitch set, just bee line for the watch? Also, my twitch umbrella gives a bunch of resists, which none of the others seem to do. Could be a bug as i made it out of legendary bits and best stuff - i was working out the crafting system and made sooooo many umbrellas... I thought i could break stuff down to get resources back like you can with furniture, whomp whomp.. I can roleplay as an umbrella salesman now.
hi jade! can you please tell me what hat has the highter ranged damage? i know that the druidic's tophat is for melee, but what hat is for ranged? thanks for the awesome video
A hit off topic I know, but how do you get the waypoints from the map to show up in the terrain, like yours do here? And we never actually get the nice outfit shown in the trailer? 😞 This vid helped a lot, thanks.
the top 5 waypoints are public, and visible to all in that realm and show on screen outside the map. where the lower ten or so are personal and only mark the map for you alone.
On my wife's character the embellished hat is off her head, sitting sideways on her shoulder both when she looks at herself and how I see her from my client playing with her. No idea how to get it to appear correctly on her head.
It depends on what you used to craft it. With the patch, some of my boots changed color from default looking white/black to display the fabled beast material they were made with. I suspect some items don't have a texture, resulting in the white/tan overload we are in right now.
@@arthanor9631yeah i used fabled bear leather for my gloves and they came out a beautiful brown and tan color... did the same for a jacket... all white..

thanks for so many good videos about Nightingale so far!
Glad you like them!
Nicely done, great info. Keep up the good work
if you upgrade the bowler hat with a pursuit ingot buckle it becomes the best ranged damage option

It used to be that you could click on the bundles and see its content. For some reason, that doesn't work since the last patch.
The pain of spending the time and resources to upgrade Calcularian and then finding out you just needed to run a few vaults to get the next tier 😭
@@a-andrew I have done this and now I am lost on what gear I should be even going for. Any ideas what I should get so I do not waste my essence?

No you can do that yaself loool

I see the stats from your Druidic coat also are gone upon wearing, I hope they fix this soon.
Same bug here, my Druidic Coat has higher health than the peacoat, but when I equip it my health is lower than with the peacoat.
I must be making my gear right, think my hermetic pieces I got so far came out around 147 :P
Thx those scout boots from quest reward were actually bad, nttc boots were better. But I did use best hides & fibers I could get my hands on

The trailer showed colorful outfits. What we got was tan. Everything is tan
the higher end gear is much more vibrant, all dpended on teh cretaqure you kill and what level
For some reason the tophat I made last week is now lime green

this game was made for those who love spreadsheets.
And where is the Guide for the Hunter Gear?
lots of items are not in game yet, just listed in teh crafting station
I would love to dress as a manly man explorer, but I am forced to wear a dress if I want the highest gear 😭
