Have you heard of Quietum Plus
Unless you have photosensitive epilepsy, then, that's just your problem.
Hi Dr. Ben, if you have Tinnitus, you know it, why would you have to be quizzed?
One year of suffering and it was cleared after two nights!
My ears are ringing more
Holy cow! I can barely hear my tinnitus when I have the pink noise on, and even when I turn it off, my tinnitus is toned way down! I was skeptical that this kind of thing would help at all, but after listening for just a few minutes, I'm convinced! Thanks for making this video. Sound sleep, here I come! :-D
My tinnitus grew quieter but the faint images of people in the video had a "Big Brother is warching" creepiness.
I feel like the tight clamp on my head and tinnitus that's way louder than normal today has subsided quite a bit with this video. I can't thank you enough!
I'm so glad to hear that the sound therapy in the video has brought you relief. Your feedback means a lot, and I'm grateful to have been able to help even in a small way. Wishing you continued relief and comfort!
Yes the sound is very quite and relaxing and the darkness of the screen is perfect for drifting off to sleep.
It sounds like a heavy rain, i love it and I have no tinnitus (anymore). I had it for years but it completely dissapeared suddenly. 🙂 It has a lot to do with stress, I'm more comfortable in the last years. When i'm stressed for a longer period, it comes back and I suffer more from it. Don't get stressed is the medicine.
That's true. Last month I went for an audiometry to test my hearing cos I felt one ear couldn't hear as well as the other. I had no tinnitus though. I did the test The doctor said "Nothing wrong with the inside of the ear, do an MRI", and that night I started hearing a pulsatile tinnitus at times so loud that I would get very frustrated and concerned for days. I thought it was bizarre it happened after the audiometry and not before. So recently I told another otorhinolaryngologist about this and he said it's very typical for people to start having tinnitus right after an audiometry, precisely because of stress.
(note: did the MRI with contrast and there was nothing wrong anywhere; so the mild hear loss I experience was probably due to an infection)
@@alekid 🤮
The medicine for you is not necessarily the medicine for all
BS
For how long did you get tinnitus? I have it for 2 months now and apparently has to do with Stress, my ATM and that recently I had an ear infection!
That's the exact sound a TV used to make back when stations signed off late at night.
well technically no.. that would be white noise
Yes it does sound like when tv channels finished t night. There is not much difference between white noise and pink noise
I turned this on last night, first time listening to it. I went to sleep fast and had a very restful nights sleep ! 🙏🏻Thank You!

If I listen for long periods of time the volume of ringing goes down So far pink noise works the best for me. Everyone has to find whats best for them. Its not a cure-all but it helps , Give it time. Hope this helps a little, dont give up. Just remember it doesnt have to be perfect to to be helpful ! 😊
Hyperacusis
so when you listen to it it comes back
Good intro. I'm 72 & have suffered with ringing in my ears all of my adult life; I discovered recently the ringing in ears has a name other than the moniker I'd given it. So, A+ on your intro to the video. I trust you thus far. As I enter into my first attempt to get some measure of reprieve in my suffering I haven't any questions, however, many answers have come to my mind in regards to my prolonged hearing condition; prolonged being a keyword. After I've applied the 10 HR treatment I'll post another comment.
Hi Doc! I have barotroma, and suddenly developed Tinnitus, although not declared by doctor. I am listening to this since last 2 hrs, and it gave me a hope and relief. Hope it will work.
This was so helpful for my pulsatile tinnitus. Gone in a minute! You are doing the Lord’s work ❤ Such a great relief.
I'm thrilled to hear that this sound therapy provided quick relief for you. I'm glad it has been helpful, and your kind words are truly appreciated! ❤️
Is this like a retraining exercise so the brain only listens for this particular pink noise signal which is already existing as a functional part of your frequency spectrum. So when you turn this off it's listening for this and no longer hears the tinnitus from your pulsatile issue ?
Thank you Ben. I had 8 and half hours sleep. Wow, I feel I’m fully recharged. Very appreciated 🙏🏼
Awesome. That's so great to hear. Be well. 😊
The best three sounds so far I found on TH-cam that works for my tinnitus are all from your channel, especially this one when play through speakers. Thank you so much for posting these soundtracks. They are really helpful!
Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re thrilled to hear that our sounds have been helpful for your tinnitus. It means a lot to us that you’re finding relief.
Thanks for your work on this sound and other on your chain. My very best regards from a Frenchman who suffer tinnitus for years. It's a relief.
Another trick people don't use but really should is positive re-enforcement of your tinnitus. The very 1st few days of discovering I had tinnitus was in the summer of 2018 and I became very stressed. I could feel my body ache I was so stressed. I even remember feel a weird phantom heat in my head. I had trouble sleeping that night and spent a handful of days looking for a solution. There was none. I finally, and very quickly accepted my fate, the new me and decided to just own it and make it mine. To this day, I just remind myself that I love the sound, that it soothes me and I tell myself it's a comforting sound and it's positive. I've told myself 1,000's and 1,000's of times. Positive re-enforcement. I only ever notice it once in awhile. Sometimes 2 or 3 days can go by and, I'll suddenly notice it. I notice it now since I am talking about it. I am not sure how bad mine is but it can be pretty high pitched at times. I also believe my tinnitus is caused by my excessive use of afrin which I've been using daily for years. There are times when I force myself to use less afrin and when I do, the tinnitus goes away. I've been able to replicate this a handful of times. I am fairly sure that afrin does play a role in my tinnitus.
Nsaids are a cause or tinnitus in many people.
Whawhat is the meaning afrin in English
I took a depression meditation and poof. Got tinnitus that’s still going on even though I stopped the medication.
@@rinkimaxwell1562afrin is a brand of medication you spray in your nose to clear up stuffiness.
Omg I use afrin or a generic version all the time !! I've had tinnitus since I can remember and use afrin for like 3 yrs. I'm totally stopping it now thanks!!
So I apparently have had tinnitus since I was a baby. I had to have tubes put in my ears. As I grew up and heard the noise I thought it was electricity running through the walls because when I stepped outside it stopped and when inside and especially in a quiet room it was very loud. So here I am 37 and just figured out it was tinnitus lol. Also The noise works. TY

This one works for mine. I was pleasantly surprised.
The one thing that helped me lower my tinnitus is my diet. I do also meditation, and I exercise a lot more. However I have noticed that when I go to my grandmother's house, she lives far out in the country and has absolutely no wireless devices in her house. She doesn't even watch tv. My tinnitus calms down a lot. When I come back home it gets louder.
Diet? Do you have trigger foods?

And then I do not eat until the next morning at 11am. After trying so many thing, like massages, neck exercises, etc, nothing helped until I went Keto. Thanks Dr Ben. My high pitch tinnitus seems to be persistent through the pink noise but I will persevere as I know you need to be consistent with sound therapy.
Persistence with sound therapy is crucial for relief, even if the high-pitched tinnitus persists initially. Consistency in utilizing sound therapy can gradually lead to positive changes in managing or reducing the intensity of the sound. Stay committed, as it might take time for your brain to adapt and respond to the therapy.
It certainly gives some relief

It's helping my wife forget or drown out her tinnitus. She has it in both ears. Each having it's own pitch. She's had it since she was 12. She's unsure as to what caused it. She had taken a few blows to the head in her early adolescence. Plus she underwent treatment for leukemia from age 4-6. She hasn't experienced much relief from pink noise, white noise.or the snapping method used at the base of the skull. Still searching
When and how does your wife use this sound?
She got it from the treatments for leukemia. It's common

The pink noise is nice… soothing… 👍
Every time I listen to stuff like this, my tinnitus is worse than before!
Literally.. it’s terrible. I’m not sure how this helps anyone other than tricking them while listening to it by being unable to tell if they’re hearing their own tinnitus or this God awful sound
True. I agree more

I've had Tinnitus for 30+ years and have always had to use a fan when I slept. I started listening to Box Fan on Amazon Music, but I think the best is Pink Noise. I hope this helps other sufferers.
I fell asleep to this and it made my ears ring
This is nice it brings relief
Do you advice to use it mixed with the sound of another video, for exemple voices
We recommend sound therapy to be a calming, soothing sound without words or lyrics.

This is My chosen Sound therapy
I listened to crickets last night, a video... whilst the tinnitus is still there obviously, what helps is that it sort of takes the noise out of your head, the annoying internal noise and makes it sound as if its an external noise... and although I can still hear my tinnitus underneath... it gives a bit of relief because it feels like it's external... rather than internal... if you get my drift...
You should try the Trickling water or rain sounds if you haven't already!
They not only completely nullify the T, but they also seem to make it fainter!
i felt this on a spiritual level
This is very helpful. I was skeptical whether pink noise would match the high pitch of my tinnitus. It did for the brief time I tried it just now (5 min). I want to let it run overnight,as a quiet environment is my nemesis. Thanks.
The thing that helps my tinnitus is low salt diet. When I eat a lot of salt, it’s so loud. The other thing that helps is staying healthy . The other thing that makes tinnitus very loud is Peptol Bismol and other medications.
Living a healthy life and exercise helps a lot.
Thanks for sharing! :)
hey when you got tinnitus, was it just randomly one day. and does it ever fully go away? i ask because i randomly got it at 4AM 2 days ago ( im 14) and it hasnt fully stopped yet. i didnt listen to anything loud and i cant put my finger on how i got it, i see tons of comments of people being like "ive had constant non-stop ear annihilating noise ever since i was blah blah blah." so ive become extremely (and i MEAN EXTREMELY) paranoid on how long this will last.
also more on the low salt diet thing, this may have to do with hydration, tinnitus can be from dehydration. unless you already drink tons of water each day and im just a random internet "uhmm aktually hav yu tried" i suggest you drink more water. ( again im sorry if im just telling you stuff i already know)
@@ziloleepic3390 I remember the day I messed up my hearing. I went to a club party and put my ears right up to the speaker that was blasting music when I was young maybe 16-17 years old. Irreparable damage. As far as I know, there is no cure and I’ve had tinnitus for 13 years now but you learn to live with it to the point where you don’t notice it’s there. I’m sues if you speak to a few people, they will tell you they also have some form of tinnitus due to military, brain injury or construction jobs etc. I think right now all you can do is therapy of hear some white noise in the background. Personally I came to terms with the fact that I’ll have tinnitus till the day I die and that’s okay with me. It doesn’t affect me. I was devastated when i was 16-17 years old but I got over it fast. There’s so many ways to avoid the noise, a constant fan running, AC running or simply playing the sounds of crickets or running water in the background. It forces you to also live a healthy lifestyle which is good. :)

Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughtful feedback! 😊
The pitch is waaaay to high for me. It makes me very anxious and I want to run away from it. (Same with white noise.) The pink sound does mask tinnitus for me but I cant tolerate the pitch. I am calmed by the lower pitch of brown noise, but it doesnt mask my tinnitus as well. Sigh.
So far, i think this is the only noise that makes my Tinnitus bearable.
What frequency is being used for this pink noise? More importantly, who are those people I see in the picture?
Pink noise is a combo of all frequencies from 20-20khz, lower frequencies have higher intensity
Yes! I played this on my large tv after only listening to it on my phone and the first thing my husband asked was who is that in the video? It kind of creeped me out a little.
I thot I was seeing things lol
All frequencies are being used but pink noise has more power at the lower frequencies and less at the higher frequencies. This means that pink noise focuses more on the lower pitches.
This is great! With the exception of you talking. I was almost asleep, then i heard your voice. 🤦♀️
This is perfect for me.

How specifically are you donating to people with tinnitus ?
Yeah! I can't hear the ringing so much. I like the absence of the bass frequencies, they can be a bit stressful. This is more like rain or wind
I have had Tinnitus for over six months now. I tried everything on TH-cam and had my hearing aids adjusted to mask the Tinnitus noise. Nothing worked. So I went to an ENT specialist, who told me to close my nostrils and then blow really hard for a few seconds multiple times a day. In addition he told me to use Nasacort/triamcinolone in each nostril at bedtime x 2 weeks, then when that two week ends start using OTC budesonide 1 spray each nostril at bedtime x 2 weeks. I am in my second week trying this recommendation, which has already fixed my Tinnitus. The blowing really hard and holding my nostrils closed is what did it, but it could be the Nasacort with the nostril pinching/blowing that solved the problem. If this worked for me, I think it might work for you. Always see an ENT specialist before trying what was proscribed for me.
It sounds like the ocean:)

Dr. Thomson, at what level should we be listening? Thanks!
You should listen to a volume where you can still hear your tinnitus. The goal of sound therapy is not to completely mask the tinnitus. Instead, it is an additional sound that helps your brain get distracted from the tinnitus which will allow you to habituate.

Hi Dr Ben, thank you so much for all your videos, they have been very helpful & hopeful, I can't thank you enough. Could you please tell me for how long is recommended to hear this sound therapy and for how many times in a day? T H A N K S !!
Hello Sergio, the duration of sound therapy for tinnitus can vary depending on the individual and the severity of their tinnitus. Some people may find relief from tinnitus symptoms after just a few sessions of sound therapy, while others may need to continue the therapy for a longer period of time to achieve significant improvement.
The length of treatment can also depend on the type of sound therapy being used. For example, if a person is using a sound machine or white noise generator to help them sleep at night, they may continue to use the device as long as it remains helpful.
If you start to experience worsening of your tinnitus, try switching sounds. For instance, going from cricket sounds to pink noise. Hope this helps!
I'm a cochlear implant user, my tinnitus can be pretty bad that it makes it hard to hear over other things. I'm glad my processor can directly stream this so I can mask the ringing!

Question: If you have only right or left tinnitus, hearing this sounds on both ears or only the tinnitus ear?
We recommend stimulating both ears with sound therapy even if the tinnitus is unilateral. Our auditory pathways criss cross in the higher auditory cortex so if we only stimulate the side with tinnitus, some will start to perceive the tinnitus on the "good" ear.
