Wow, that was wild see the planter fill up!! Good lord the hoses and such on there!! 😳😳 That tender is epic, love seeing it work!! Thank you Mr Jeff for bringing us along, look fwd to seeing what's next! 😁😁🇺🇸🇺🇸🌽🌽🌽🌱🌱🌱
We finished the field we were planting at about 10 pm. We just got the planter in the shed & it started to rain. We have had .6 inches already. The weather men said the rain wasn't coming for another 24 hours. They are calling for 1 to 3 more inches of rain on Tuesday so it will be a while before we get to finish our last 2 fields. I hope the rest of planting goes well for you.
Putting on and taking off the PTO driven hydraulic unit should be the son-in-laws new job.......lol. That does not look like it would be fun at all. Yup, starting Wednesday here in West Tennessee, we have rain in the forecast 7 days in a row. Glad to see that you are finally getting some seed in the ground.
Happy Farmer ! This is going to be a clear the air comment . What is Tractor Pull, Alan Trebek from Jeopardy would say .It was a FARMALL killbros 690 cart So I was off on bushels and name of cart to say it couldn't do it's job if I would have said JD that would have been a different situation I believe that that person out west was having PMS separating the men from the boys you could say thought you needed a good laugh to start the day off
Little early to say too much, but so far I think I’m gonna like it. Kinze has a problem they are working on, these 5700 at a pain getting the wing locks to engage after you fold the wings in. It’s a real pain trying to get things lined up. You can’t see anything in that area because the pump blocks the view from the cab. Dealer said guys are mounting a camera back there so they can watch.
If you undo that strap, you can swing the auger around and use it to fill itself. That hopper swings out from under the cart and you can unload into it. I’ve never done that. Yet…..
👍👍
That's a really slick seed tender. Good luck with the rest of planting
Thanks for taking the extra time to show us the process to fill the planter, that was an experience, thanks Jeff

Was the planter brand new, or just new to you Jeff? Looks really nice.
It was new new. Dad had ordered that last July.
Putting in medication, that was funny. Sure is frustrating sometimes when get something new and figuring out problems. New stuff to learn.

Maybe your weather man will be as accurate as ours and you won’t get any rain so you can finish. lol. And thank you.
I like that hydraulic set up. Keeps the heat out of the tractor imo. Thx.
Its amazing how fast moisture can disappear out here....... enjoy the dust cloud.
Remember the first ih cyclo planters. Sure has come a long way since the late 70s
Yep, dad had one in the late 70’s. Seemed like a decent planter for its time.
Will your dad be able to participate in the chores to get the crop in the ground & harvest @ the end ❓
Unless some miracle happens, he’s done farming. He might be able to mow some grass on a good day but that hasn’t happened in a couple of weeks either.

See that you have the "Tool Truck with Perpetual Tires" hooked to the seed cart. Wes was lamenting that he'd like to own a seed cart.
Hope the son-in-law is planning to join the party even more this year🚜🇺🇸🗽👌
He wants to be here full time, eventually it’s gonna have to happen. He’s been doing a great job so far.
If that would have been me, i would have probably dropped the tender remote in the hopper.
Now just wait, I’ll do that today. If I do, It’s all your fault. Lol

How do you like the 5700 planter

@@onehappyfarmer3461 I am sure they will get it figured out. Kinze is pretty good about listening to customers and solving issues
What is the strap on auger holding up

Another 50 thousand for hydraulic downforce. Holy crap. Cost of stuff beyond my understanding
You’re making dust now
