Only thing I did off camera was lower the rear more, after the installation it obviously sat higher

I just bought the same coilovers for my 91' hatch and I'm waiting on some OEM top mounts since my car came with some cheap maxspeeding rods coilovers and I don't have the factory ones. Anyways I tried the top hats that I have just to see if they would work and it looks like I'm going to have the same issue as you!
Did you contact progress to see what the issue is? I'm pretty pissed about it and if I have the same problems you are I will be sending them back and just getting some koni yellows and ground control sleeves.
With that being said did the helper springs fix yours or just give you some preload and a way to high ride height?
Do they even handle well or do anything they are supposed to?

Never contacted them, honestly not sure why it would come like this unless the spring rates they have are different size springs and they only have one shock? From what ive read on forums its a 50/50 if you need them for progress or maybe they all do and people are instaling them wrong...
The helper springs totally fixed them ive had no issues at all and was able to lower the car more. What they do is hold the spring in place if they ever extended too far, so technically you might never even need them i doubt you will be hitting corners or bumps that big unless you are doing crazy track days or have shit roads. Up to you ive also read great things on the koni yellows and ground control set up seems to be a classic set up not just for civics.
