Oh this is really good! Rudy is an amazing song, Crime Of The Century is a masterpiece and Dougie Thompson is a really underrated musician... Like all in Supertramp Cheers 🤘
It's so refreshing to see some Supertramp covers on here, especially Bass covers. Dougie Thompson was such an underrated player. He created some fantastic riffs. Congrats on the video.
I like the small bends you are performing. Always loved that song. When played on a good stereo system (I use Bowers & Wilkins 801 speakers), the bass on this piece has so much impact.
I so love Supertramp. Rudy is a great song but my all time favourite is 'Take the long way home' from 1979. I heard it for the first time in 1994. Blew me away. It would be great if you could do a bass cover of that song. Great channel!! Thank you.
I only really listened through the whole of Crime of the Century recently and my god, every song is great on it. Just superb song writing through and through!
Alice, 1000 Thank you! I have asked you for another Supertramp bass cover a long while ago and there it is... the best choice possible... extremely well played... and it is not the easiest one. I was at their two concerts in Paris in the 80's when the group played it live.. and truly you did this group proud today. You are talented, cheerful and very naturally rhythmic. No doubt, you will become a great professional. If one day you play live in British Columbia or Alberta Canada: I will be there too. Have a great day, I will listen to your bass cover once more now... Sincerely. Chris
Alice, I hit the like button before the end of the first bar because I knew this would be an amazing cover and it certainly was. Congrats for the dedication and hard practice it takes to nail a song like this. keep up the great work and helping keep the torch of vintage rock classic music alive.
Super Tramp put out some amazing music. Your cover is so good. I've had quite a few basses in my life and now I'm down to 3 P's and a J that are just to good to lose. I dig your channel.
Awesome. You know, I love Supertramp from I was a child. Now I'm 56. I'm a musician surely because I discovered Supertramp. And I consider Dougie Thomson a very great bassist. I propose to you, if you want, play School, Give a little bit or Lady ... themes with a very good bass line. Enjoy playing Supertramp !
Thanks Alice, Superb as always. Another of my favourite Groups along with Toto. Your skill and style on the Bass takes me back to the Nick Beggs days all those decades ago and I mean that as a big compliment, so I hope it's received in the same way. Looking forward to your next rendition ☺️
AWESOMENESS!!!! I suggest another amazing Bruce Thomas bass part, my personal favorite: Shabby Doll from Elvis Costello’s Imperial Bedroom. The whole album is a masterpiece, but Shabby Doll is exquisite- particularly the last 45 seconds.
Awesome, nice cover, been looking at your cover of Alice Cooper's "No more mr. nice guy" (I am trying to learn it with your cover) and I have landed there randomly but this one is really well played! Greetings.
Bravo, c'est très inspirant pour se mettre à jouer et cette ligne de basse est magnifique. Mais, pardon d'être un peu tatillon, n'y a t-il pas un problème de précision rythmique à partir de 3:40 à plusieurs moments ?
@ … The tone is wonderfully smooth… I have Teflon flat wounds , on my fretless precision, and I think I will go ahead and try some flat wounds on my 51 reissue….👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Keep up the excellent playing ..❤️🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻👍🏻 Your friend in Sweet home Alabama , Jeff Galey ( The Jeff Galey Channel ) 🎶
my fingers are shorter than yours ... might be the reason you play the song much better than i could ;-) ... just kidding on your "spider-hands" ;-) BR Ralf
Dougie Thompson is such an underrated bassist. His chops and groove are just fantastic. Thank you Alice! You are an inspiration as always.
Oh this is really good!

I fully agree. Him and Bob Seinbenberg, the drummer, do not get the recognition they deserve. They’re a terrific and very tasteful rhythm section.
You nailed it, perfect! Dougie would be proud. What a great song.

Una de mis canciones favoritas de Supertramp. ¡Saludos desde Cádiz, España! La ciudad más antigua de Occidente que todavía funciona.
I freakin' love this song. Your performance of it is flawless.
How impressive is to see a young pretty girl playing this masterpiece of 70's - my time at the sabe age. God bless you and Supertramp!
