  • Here is an update on John at week 14 post-operatively following a Right leg Achilles tendon repair. This week we are focusing in on his tendon strength and mobility, aiming to help him increase his overall calf bulk and strength and progress him through the 26 week program.
Note the heel drop on the isometric and eccentric calf raise work - a key element to get right.
    1. Soleus Eccentric Calf Raise
    2. Soleus Stretches - Bench
    3. Gastroc Stretches
    4. Mountain Climbers

Great video. Quick question, hours often can/should you be doing these exercises?

Hi there. Been watching your video. I’m not into fitness at all but I ruptured my Achilles tendon 5 years ago. I dicc do not have the surgery I just had it in a cast. I was stupid and didn’t go for physio after and Iv never done anything since. I can’t do a calf raise with it. Is it to late to fix this issue now? Great videos buy the way 👍🏻👍🏻

Great video with some super useful exercises. I am at week 15 no surgery and while objectively I can do the calf raises etc and the ankle swelling is reducing I am experiencing a lot of pain when walking. Like a knife being pushed into the Achilles - at site of rupture sometimes but often towards the top of the Achilles. I don’t see mention of pain in the rehab videos. Is pain a normal part of the process-do I just work through it? Am back swimming but really not walking very much so getting very frustrated 🙄
