I can't tell if you mentioned this during the missing microphone segment, but I'm surprised you did not mention the use of science points... especially the fact that unlike actual resources, you can always hold 4 units of science. Also, there were three expansion missions created for this. I have all three. The first of these expansions (which they call missions) actually puts use to those "lost planet" cards. I didn't realize this was out of print.
Wow... I never knew there was a boardgame version of this! :o Also, it would've been nice to mention that the yellow die is 1,1,2,2,3,3 and the blue one is 1,2,2,3,3,4, but that's just me being picky ;).
Because Settlers of Catan didn't work for 2 players, they designed a cardgame version with new mechanics to make it as similar as possible but balanced for 2. Then they made a spaceship themed version of Settlers of Catan. So, this is the spaceship themed version of the card game adaption of Settlers of Catan which makes it seem a distant cousin but is very closely related.
I don't know if it was just coincidence that this was the game that my girlfriend & I played on the day that we first took a shinin' to each other, but I like to think that it certainly didn't hurt. :>
Wow, too bad this isn't availible right now. Espcially since the original was used on that comedy the Big Bang Theory (since the producers wanted smart games).
I admire your focus to keep going while the kids are screaming in the background. That's the kind of parent I aspire to be one day.
If Mayfair reprinted this, I would buy it in a heartbeat (HINT HINT MAYFAIR)

This seems like a great game. Strange that the Catan name is on it, because it seems very loosely associated with that brand.
2020 and found this in a "free" box on sidewalk.
