My grandad always watches heartbeat with a cup of tea and a biscuit with my nan . I remember being young and calling him out from his shed " Heartbeats on" he would come in and sit down and I would sit on his lap and drink our tea and we would watch it together as a family . He always tells me stories about living in the 60s and how those were the best days of his life . I'll forever keep those stories of his childhood close to my heart .
My mum loved this show. I remember hearing this song play from the other room, and remembering how happy watching this heartwarming series used to make her. Now she's in the great 'Aidensfield' in the sky. Miss you Ma 💙

I’ll always remember reading a copy of the show’s itinerary where it listed two songs to be played (can’t remember the other one) but clearly remember: *HIT NUMBER ONE - HEARTBEAT* Good times.
I'm only 15 and I absolutely love this show!! I watch it every night religiously. I don't get why its not more popular with my generation but I guess they would prefer watching something like Love Island. Its probably my favourite show at the moment but all my friends think I'm weird cause I watch old shows like this. I wish I could have been around when it was weird to not watch it. My dad introduced me to this show when i was a kid, i am now 23 i have bought every single series on dvd and have seen every episode a thousand times and will continue to watch, hands down my favourite show of all time
I’ve not worked for a year and started watching Heartbeat from first episode online. I’m going on to series 16 now... Its lovely, just how the UK was in those days not like now, it brings back memories of a long gone era of the 60’s and 70’s.
I agree, I am a Canadian, and Heartbeat is a must see, we only have seen the 2006 series I would love to see it right from the beginning. The theme by Nick berry, is the best rendition I have heard.

Most of them stayed for a long duration (Oscar, Ventris, Gena etc) Having lived in England during the 1960's I can honestly say that it depicts my life experience accurately in our rural counties ☺

Growing up watching Heartbeat was brilliant. It used to be aired on a Friday night then changed to a Sunday night. This then London's Burning meant bedtime for school the next day. Still think Nick Berry still looks great!
This was a beautifully made programme, I used to love seeing the countryside on this as I grew up in the city so seeing countryside any way I can is good for me, especially since I have Autism.

Growing up as a child, Heartbeat was THE show for us. The cars, the trains and the love of Whitby was made it a religion for us. I know Heartbeat may never return but it will forever be a part of my family memory
Same here! It played such a huge part of my childhoood, especially seeing as though my family knew a few of the actors and because Whitby is so close by. I loved it so much and I was devastated when it ended.
I used to hear this around 8pm every Sunday and get super depressed knowing it was the end of the weekend. Still makes me feel sick now listening to it and anyone who likes this song needs their head examined. Yet I still clicked on it. Maybe I have a slight fondness of it.
