Perhaps the finest family show of its era. As it grew in popularity it really could bring families together for 30minutes. The Christmas shows were extra special. Well done to all those involved.

I get I'm tracking this comment from years ago, but it really seemed like Only Fools was having a renaissance before John Sullivan passed away. Two spin offs aired, The Green Green Grass and Rock and Chips, and there was even gonna be one last finale for the series proper. A shame BBC cut production and we lost Sullivan before all this could be fully realised and we got one last swansong (though in fairness the show might have kept coming back over and over otherwise :P).
