imo it's not too dark for your skin tone at all. i really think it complements you! your face complexion looks a lot smoother and but just bit more yellow not that the average person would notice

The coverage of the foundation is really good. It looks like skin. From what I can see you have red undertones but the 3.1R is probably a shade too dark for you. You should try 3.0R instead, really think that would suit you better than the 3.1Y you went with. I used Wayne Goss's Mac comparison chart to match my shade, you should take a look. Can't wait for my foundation to arrive.
On camera your skin looked like it had a red undertone but it could be the lighting. I didn't notice that they didn't have a neutral equivalent in your shade when I was on their website. That's a shame. Wouldn't it be great if they had a yellow, neutral and red undertone for every shade? Hopefully they'll have more colours on the way.
Google colours swatches, they're literally everywhere now. I got mine from 4week wait list at the beginning of may and it was a perfect match. I got 2 colors, 1 in cool and the next up in neutral because pink undertones seem to look darker on the skin. Wayne Goss has mac color match chart and it was spot on when I compared mine.

Order the LA Girl white foundation. I'm extremely pale, and it honestly so common that I love a formula but can't do the colors. Out of any white foundation mixer it's honestly 10x's better than the higher brands I've used. It also doesn't take away from the coverage of your foundation. Worth the $6 to adjust this foundation! Hope that helps!

I am suffering through a severe chemical burn from The Ordinary! Make sure if you try their Vitiman C Suspension you dilute it very very Well! I have the serum foundation and I'm still waiting on my colours coverage one. I was very impressed with the coverage, feel, and finish of this one so I can't wait to see what the full coverage one is like!

That's such an affordable price wow...I've been looking for a new more natural finish foundation for summer because the one I have is super matte but noooothing matches my skin tone. I have a major yellow undertone and even shades that sort of match my skin tone in terms of darkness end up making me look pasty because they have pink undertones, not yellow. They're sold out online for Canada right now but I'm gonna try and get it when they're back in stock.
ANDDDD the foundations I've been trying are at least $46...this is only $6.70 CAD wooow

Beautiful! I got the 3.1y and it matches me perfectly. I'm a Mac NC45 if that helps. It'll probably match you perfectly in the summer. Looks good though 🤗🤗😍😍
Also, they suggest (and it should always be like this) to start from the center of your face, out. :)
this foundation has up to super deep colour so Idk why she said they could carry darker shades when they do.. btw I think the shades look right since the undertone seems correct

gosh your skin looks beautiful :) and this matches you great, My worry is that it oxidizes a lot towards orange.. I think it would be much more visible on my lighter skin :/

I feel like all the colours on their website though are extreme! All really yellow or a few that are really pink

As a person with sensitive acne-prone skin, I had to ask this since most reviews I've seen are first impressions with no updates. Did it ever break you out?
I just got mine. One color (3.0 R) was way too dark, which stinks. I want to find someone who can wear it so it doesn't go to waste. The other color (2.1 P) might work, but isn't a perfect match. It's actually a lot yellower than what I use in the Revlon ColorStay line, even though what I got was for pink undertones. Disappointed, like you, because it took weeks to get these and I can't imagine when i'd get another order with a different color.
I purchased 3.0 Y, I hope it works out! Just after I placed my order and they all sold out 😅

For sure needs more dark shades, but looks good! There's just no nuance to the dark shades, the jumps are so big.
They have darker shades. If you see the Wayne Goss vid he did, he shows you the color match to the Mac colors. I ordered mine I am a MAC NW45, so pretty dark. Hope this helps.

The Ordinary is affordable because they don't put bells and whistles in the packaging, that makes the product, really affordable, so no, don't expect glass!

I dont think it's a matte finish i think its just ur beauty blender. I think bbs are deceiving esp for first impressions, it is literally not only soaking up all the product, but all the humectants/oils so ofc it is gonna seem like a matte finish. It's a sponge! I heard a brush works best for this foundation
