Kindly share when you have an answer for the size of wires. In my case I used 1.5mm flexible wire. Though the resistor is getting hot, I quite not sure if the size of the wire is correct or not.

Hi, I wanted to ask you if the original resistor is faulty, can I leave it in place without disconnecting it, with this modification you made? Thank you

@@stefano5981 hi yes don't touch old resistor atm. this is bypass video guidance, i would advise to replace for new original type part resistor located in plastic frame engine fan.

@@fetos4309thanks for the reply, I used two 10 awg cables but since they are large in diameter I put the yellow fastons connected to the resistor! did you solder the two terminals?

bear in mind the resistor will become extremely hot, you may fix on some material surface like crash bar inside the bumper

Hi thanks for adding important detail👍🏻 i did fixed to body using thermal paste and zip.

I think what he’s saying is cooling fan will pull more and more current as it ages (I’ve heard usually 100k+ miles, fans begin to seize, unavoidable) more current means more heat in components, and as a safety measure a thermistor/fuse is used in the fan housing to break the circuit if temperature is too high in the components (caused by the increased current needed by the fan). This is to stop the fan burning out and potentially causing a fire. Likely it would just smoke as the coil burns out and melts some plastic but better safe than sorry!
