Volo is just Cynthia but with 2 extra legendary Pokémon, and the strong style and agile style make sure you lose at least 4 Pokémon before you fight Giratina
My toughest battle is a battle that does not count because in my platinum randomizer a random early game trainer got a tyranitar with crunch, hyper beam, sandstorm with the ability sandstream. and when I finally defeated the psuedo legend she pulled a LUGIA!😅
One of my hardest battles always seems to be the double battle with Barry against Mars and Jupiter in Spear Pillar, whether it's DP or Platinum, no matter what Pokémon I have. It's a double battle so you probably don't have a lot of tools for the double battle. The Bronzors and Golbats are really, really annoying with their screen support and Confuse Ray shenanigans, and their Skuntank and Purugly are hard to take down and can do a lot of damage if you're not careful. You don't have good Fire types in Sinnoh, so if you picked Piplup or Turtwig your best option to deal with the Bronzors is Rapidash who is not a good Pokémon in any sense of the word (competitive or in-game, and is really forgettable honestly compared with Arcanine and Ninetales), or Houndoom or Magmar if you're playing Platinum. The Golbats are a little easier to deal with because Pachirisu, Luxray, Raichu, and Magnezone for Platinum players all learn Discharge, but the Purugly and Skuntank are really hard to deal with. What makes the battle so much harder though is how useless Barry is. That Munchlax is beyond awful. Sure it may get a Screech or a Body Slam paralysis off but it mostly prefers to spam Stockpile, and for whatever reason Mars and Jupiter always seem to target my Mon's instead of that Munchlax. Staraptor doesn't know Close Combat, and its Take Down basically bounces off of the Bronzors and the ace Pokémon. Not only did I not care about damaging him with my own Discharge, Earthquake, or Surf, but there was a time I was so frustrated that I genuinely attacked his Munchlax. I'm not putting this battle on the same level as something like Cynthia or Volo, or Mysterial from Pokémon Battle Revolution, but it was genuinely one of the most frustrating battles in the entire franchise.
Sinnoh champion Cynthia is without a doubt the hardest Pokémon battle I have ever faced in my entire life, she uses a very aggressive strategy to wipe out the players whole team in both game and anime versions. Sword and Shield was the first generation I ever played and since then, I really want a re-release of Sun and Moon for the upcoming Nintendo console which is my favourite generation, I recently caught every single starter Pokémon from the Scarlet and Voilet DLC and evolved them all into their final forms.
for the dlcs I had a diffrent team then my teal mask and indigo disk teams but holy shit I remember the e4 and kieran were so hard, I finished the dlc right after it came out so I did a bling playthrough, I thought it had teal mask level of difficulty and single battles, so I made my team related to single battles, and maybe the closest i got for doubles was having an archaludon and a sticky webs galvantula, and I remember I had to spam max revives and full restore against those mfs, i rmember being so mad when he sent out incineroar, and again, my team was a rhyperior, magmar, galvantula, reunaclies, archaludon, and malamar, and I didn't give none of them any doubles competitive treatment
I played through legends arceus twice, and thats a game that I wont dare to nuzlocke because volo, like he was so hard I had more problems with him then the elite four in radical red in a playthrough, at least you can predict the moves the other trainers will use, with volo it is pure gamble of if he will use agile or strong style
Volo legitimately made me change my style of play, Legitimately going with a monotype team, instead of a diverse team because since your guaranteed to get hit… you have to minimize damage instead of avoiding it because YOU CANT…. So i legit used a monotype team so that Id have to deal with as few super effective revenge kills as possible….
@ the two types that I have tried were a 2/3rds psychic team and a full fairy team… During my first run of the game, I legit used tons of heals and revives, and took multiple tries Attempt 2 with mono-fairy took me 1 try and used 1 or 2 heals Attempt 3 with the psychic team was my first true legitimate completion with no healing Volo is definitely benifited by the game mechanics of LA, without the game mechanics forcing tons of free hits on you, it would be a different story….
@ really only done the modern games but if done right i feel like a monotype team can work about as well as a diverse one if you know how to play your cards right
@thatboyminus I think it's good that we can play in the Unova region again, and I hope the graphics and the story are tied and similar to the original Black and White games. Maybe even bring more Pokémon to the region. Maybe the map will be bigger then the original.

i only played through Black/White … What a trip down memory lane ! haha
That Volo battle put people in the fetal position
How many tries did it take you?
@ might need both hands to count them all

Haha I had something similar happen to me in an Emerald Randomizer once fighting a Groudon!
Honestly If it wasn’t for Milotic, Volo would’ve made me quit Legends!
What do you mean?

I didn't even lost once against volo. I didn't thought that battle was so tough untill this video either
What team did you use?
Great video
Literally had to rely on the friendship mechanics in BDSP to beat Cynthia. That battle was ridiculous 😭
lol surprisingly a lot of people did!

Greevel also starts with Shadow Lugia which is super tough so he has 7 Pokemon
@10:35 *mermaid man voice* EEEEEEEEVVIIILLL
I never really struggled with Kieran, I only lost to him once then worked out what I needed to use and shredded him. Struggled more with Drayton tbh
What team did u use against Kieran?
@@thatboyminus uh lemme remember
Ogerpon
Chien Pou
Noivern (I think)
Skeledirge
Ting Lu
Kommo-o
Cynthia is the hardest champion to beat!! Her team is so powerful and diverse!!
Is she the best champion ever?
I played through legends arceus twice, and thats a game that I wont dare to nuzlocke because volo, like he was so hard I had more problems with him then the elite four in radical red in a playthrough, at least you can predict the moves the other trainers will use, with volo it is pure gamble of if he will use agile or strong style
What has been your favorite game to Nuzlocke?
@@thatboyminus either SV or Fire red or GSC
Nice! I think I might get Emerald Kaizo a try soon, have u ever played it?
@@thatboyminus Nah, i am not into the "super hard nuzlockes" anymore

Can you give us your thoughts and opinions on the rumored Black and White remakes? Is it good or bad?
I would love for that to happen! What are your thoughts?
@thatboyminus I think it's good that we can play in the Unova region again, and I hope the graphics and the story are tied and similar to the original Black and White games. Maybe even bring more Pokémon to the region. Maybe the map will be bigger then the original.
I ve herd this form a lot of people but I ve never understood the difficulty with Sabrina
Have you ever battled her in Gen 1 games?
I don't think Whitney was nerfed in the Remake. Her AI barely use Rollout and she's more likely to use Milk Drink.
What do you mean?
@thatboyminus That means the little damage you'll do will be healed with Milk Drink.
Mysterial....he has Choice Scarf Water Spout Kyogre.
What game?
@thatboyminus
Pokemon Battle Revolution on the wii.
I’m sry to say, but the hardest difficult battle in Pokemon video game history is Ash and or Red. Sry!
Red from Heartgold and Soulsilver?
@ red from both games and the original is the most difficult battle in Pokemon game history. But, obviously this is just all our opinion.
Whitney is pretty easy IMO
How?
@thatboyminus I only lost to her once and I've battle her 7 times and one time she was An elite 4 member In a ROM hack
The hardest battle ever should be on this list Ash versus Tobias Lilly of the valley conference Paul versus Ash in Lake acuity
This is only from the games!
@ oh well, it was worth a try
