stick drift could maybe be fixed with deadzone adjustment i think. the sticks are so sensitive that on 0 they probably are sensitive to basically air which would cause the drift (I GUESS), for me deadzone value of 1 was better but 2 was the lowest that when not touching the sticks they sit still, good way to test was to use the gamepad tester website, on 0 deadzone setting the left and right stick axis values weren't -0.00002 all the time that value kept changing but on deadzone set to 2 both sticks when not being used sat nicely still on the axis value of -0.00002 and didn't fluctuate and move. still really sensitive and i don't notice that deadzone value of 2 as a stopping point when using the sticks, to me 0 felt kind of like a - value of deadzone like so sensitive that air caused motion and the deadzone of 2 even i can see the stick moving with the slightest touch on the gamepad tester (but for me its just enough for the sticks to stay at 0 without touching), so i think tuning the deadzone values could possibly help with the drift, by finding with the lowest value that is just enough to fix the drift but which would probably be low enough wouldn't feel like a blind spot in action for me 2 for both sticks was that low sweet spot. this just came into my mind so i shared what I did to fix ''ghost input'' on the sticks
Wow that an awesome response!! It’s super in depth and I love it, yeah for me somewhere around 3-5 after the video was where I found that it felt like the drift was gone. But I’m definitely going to see now with my other controller on that website and see what values I see too along with this controller. Thanks so much for your input!❤️
@@KINGKILLJ0Y Tried my best explaining my perspective, goodluck and as I said for me the dead zone of 2 for both sticks set in the controller program for the sticks made the stick axis always stay at the -0.00002 and not fluctuate when not touching, which i suspect could have caused the drift in the video because it looked like the ghost input in the video looked random and not in only 1 direction like up and or down or right or left, with deadzones set at 0 and in the controller tester website the sticks axis acted kind of like that also, But if adjusting the deadzone higher doesn't fix the ghost input then it's probably a defective unit, mine is perfectly fine after fine tuning the deadzones. deadzone of 2 is still on the edge for me for the axis values to sit at -0.00002 with no exceptions for me the sweetspot turns out to be 3

@@KINGKILLJ0Y I didn’t have that issue with my Vader 3 pro. I did have an issue with that on my left stick with Gamesir G7 SE I’ve also had stick drift many times on elite controllers.

@@KINGKILLJ0Y my G7 SE was also day1 I’m not sure if it was shipping issue or an issue out of manufacturing but I don’t regret my Vader 3 the mouse click triggers really pushed it over the edge for me in terms of performance
It might be the same for me, maybe I will buy the Vader 3 Pro and G7 SE again and compare. Just to see if it was just the one I ordered, but it was at setting 4 or 5 that my Vader 3 Pro stopped drifting
So that’s what I thought, and maybe I didn’t show it well but towards the end of the setup video I did update both the app and controller….it still has stick drift. However, I will order another one and try to see if I just got a bad one.
Well if you haven’t already you need to setup your Elite S2 on the controller side, which you can watch my more recent Elite S2 video for that. But it may not be you, after 3 Elite S2 controllers and going to either the G7 SE or the T4K it was like taking the restrainers off. So it may not be you at all, it may actually be the controller. And I’m a firm believer of different controllers fit different people better than others, especially with what games and play style you are.
I just bought my first Elite 2 last week and same. After some research, for me the solution was changing the stick setting to Axis Independent in Accessories App. (Both are on Xbox and PC through Microsoft Store). Its on Radial by default. Update firmware if one is found in the app. I'm using mine on PC with official Microsoft Windows 10 wireless adapter. What's funny is I also have the Gamesir G7 SE and I perform better with that one. The Gamesir can do 500Hz polling rate with 2 ms input latency on Windows 10. My testing on Series 2 shows 16 ms input latency on wireless with Microsoft Windows 10 wireless adapter and 10-11 ms wired. I think the combo of the Series 2 being on the Radial stick setting and higher latency is why it felt off initially but I'm use to it now.
You can! So here is what you have to do, actual instructions: “You just have to open Bluetooth settings on Windows, then add a new device, look at the back of the controller, set the switch to "NS" mode, turn on the controller by pressing the Home button, then hold the Home button until the small blue LED flashes faster than normal (but do release the Home button to avoid turning off the controller), then wait for it to show up on the list where Windows was searching for it and click on it.” Hopefully this helps!
I would say the G7 HE is going to be more for the competitive side, but the Flux is more for longevity with the membrane buttons. The mouse click buttons are great, but they wear out faster in my opinion
Yes you plug it into the Xbox, on the website it shows you how to do it. However there is a trick if it doesn’t show your controller, I found a few solutions on Reddit where you just plug your Xbox controller to it first then your Hall Effect controller.
