Alex said "bet" at the end
No replies let me fix that
Dina after this:
3 hours 10 likes. Bro fell off
Maybe someday Andrea will become annoying in terms of beating in this game for Alex. Hey let's just arrange one more game in June and that game should feel like it's the World Cup final game. If Andrea wins that game Alex should become a slave of her own sister for the whole one month. 😂😂😂
you know shit is real when @chess replies💀💀💀
Let me guess, Botez won
How are you furter seer
Nope it was A. Botez
Perfect comment to be showing when scrolling.
Fun Fact : Alexandra went undefeated in the tournament with 8.5/9 points
12:32
No one can destroy the ugly wall confirmed
and Dina was technically correct which is the worst kind
@@sneezylasagne8534 I guess this means Dina has to put "Alexandra Botez is equal to me at chess."
@@sneezylasagne8534 I understood as "You will win a maximum 8 out the 9 games." Which happened, she won 8 and drew 1
@@sneezylasagne8534 she wasn't talking about points, though. she said she's gonna win 8 out of 9 games max. which happened to be the case.
The Hammer vs Dina match was equally brutal as the one on the board.
That was savage hahaha
Hammer and Dina both have very clear favourites😂
The banter during this game was awesome 😁
It was better that way than to see them gang up on one of them.
The commentary is just ruthless roasting and I love it
Be sure to watch the end of round 8 coverage when Dina tries to crack Hammer with the hanging sentences. It's just before Alex calls in, about 4:36:00 Alex heard part of it, she loves it too when Dina tortures Hammer. Dina slays me. Great job Hammer and Dina.
"I really want to surprise her" "I need to outsmart her"
Plays the London...
the "ugly wall" thing was one of my personal highlights of the tourney. the way dina tried to wiggle her way out of what she just said was quite funny aswell.
She could just have said the word wall, but then the word ugly just slipped out first 😉
@@UAuaUAuaUA I think the "ugly" adjective was just to contrast to the "beautiful" attached to the Ferrari.
I love Dina and Hanmer’s chemistry as hosts.
You mean lack of chemistry and awkwardness.
The funny thing is, if Andrea had won and all of the other results had remained the same, Alex would still have won the tournament but Andrea would be tied for 2nd.
Alex would still have felt like she lost the tournament and Andrea would feel like she won a world title.
They would face different opposition tho, can't really compare
See, if they'd followed Dina Botvinnik's Russian School of Chess recommendations, that's exactly what would have happened!
Alex would have been broken, no way she would have scored well later on.
Swiss system would have pitted Andrea against stronger opponents in the subsequent rounds, so we can’t say that she would have had the same results.
The arrows coming out of the queen 😂
Andrea will NEVER be better until she strays from that London system. It simply is too difficult to get an opening advantage against higher rated players consistently.
Damn that ugliest wall line will always make me hysterically laugh, it brings me to tears every time 😂
8:28 for those who want to replay it. Repeatedly.
This edit makes the interview look funny, but honestly it felt really tense between Alex and Dina.
Dina is just abrasive and annoying, IMO.
@@droidgeist It was tense for a bit, but look at how it helped pull Andrea out of her funk.
@@psychohist ... Did it? Watch the interview in full for herself (not the edit you see here). Andrea finds the whole interview incredibly awkward and does her best to smooth things over and finish it ASAP.
@@droidgeist I went back and rewatched it from the stream recording, and I'm seeing the same thing I saw live and in the edit here. Andrea was unhappy - obviously since she lost - even when Dina was trying to console her about her play, until she found out from her sister reading chat that she got compared to a Ferrari. Then she cheers up and says, "I may not be the better sister but at least I have the Russians on my side." And Alex is smiling at the joke too; I think she also appreciated how it helped cheer up Andrea. To me it looked like Alex only really got unhappy at what Dina was saying when Dina criticized her habit of moving her pieces back to the 8th rank, which was a legitimate criticism.
This was the most fun tournament I've seen in a while. Also, Hammer is a great commentator, I don't think people appreciate that enough, and even Dina, stumbling her way through English was great. Congrats to Alex for the huge tournament performance
"Copium" is a great word indeed
And Alex took a bite out of Andrea and won the match.
This was a brilliant match when I watched it live. Love the hand shake at the start of the match. Was rooting for Andrea. She is getting better every game she plays. Loved the commentary.
Andrea is improving fast. Alexandra also gained quite a bit of rating, though; maybe we'll see her with an FM tag soon. I wonder if she got a WIM norm in any of these European tournaments, or how close Andrea is to WFM - the FIDE rules are opaque to me.
The editing is top notch, well done.
Great job winning the tournament!! I watched most of it live, and really enjoyed the commentary.
Really fun tournament. I enjoy Hammer and Dina commentary they're great together. Congratulations to Alexandra for the tournament win and congratulations to Andrea for a great tournament as well. It will be interesting to see if they do indeed go to Norway.
0:33 Andrea, just because Alexandra beats you at chess does not mean she is the "better sibling". I mean, she is, but it's not because of the chess.
That was honestly a great match, props to you Andrea and Alexandra
Honestly, it was a great game and an entertaining one with hammer and dina commenting on it and am very happy I got to experience it
I was there, Dina expected it. She said it live.
Bro if Andrea had won Alex would have literally killed her fr 😂
I love the commentary
I followed this tournament with you guys daily, amazing one
the whole ferrari metaphor was crazy
06:16 "ANDREEAAAA !!! ... " 😂😂😂
I clicked "Translate to English" and it looked different. I guess Romanian has more spaces in it.
I'm pretty sure that Hammer won the commentator trash talk game.
You two are so full of life and good energy. 👏🙌✌️
Love the commentators they add a ton of humor
Can’t wait for the next tournament
It is refreshing to see two unbiased commentators. Hammer & Dina were the dynamic duo during the tournament and chicken salad conversation 🧀 🔨
I love hearing what Alex says at the end. She's happy to win, but not that her sister loses. LOVE. ❤
I love how Dina is supporting her wife, Andrea.
The ugly wall is solid, it won't fall.
I was waiting for the "I kneww your little gremlin hands couldn't resist that sacrifice" from the Live stream 😂
Old news to me Alex. I already watched Levy break it down so I could get the learning points. Congrats on your win and am rooting for Andrea in future sibling battles
Levi told me you won the whole shabang! Congrats you go girl!
Ahh Andrea you were doing so good :(
Wait you’re so underrated! I thought you would have atleast 50k subs, because your quality is really high, but no. Keep going man I’m sure you’ll make it one day
I love the banter between hammer and Dina lol
Alexandra never fails to beat her sister
I would love to see them make a podcast lol
This was great to watch live. Epic game in a great tournament 🎉
12:32 "Maximum 8 out of 9"
Yeah about that, Dina...
Maybe she meant 8 victories of 9 rather than 8 points out of 9. If so, she got it right.
Dina offered to change her Twitter handle but Alexandra declined it because she didn't go 9/9.
Bro, set the timestamp before the moment you are quoting, not after. It's elementary...
12:23
Hammer's face at 6:18 is priceless 🤣🤣🤣
This is some good coverage, nice and short, easily consumable. Thank you for this content 😊 I note that Andrea said she’d like to surprise her sister 😅 So then she thought to play the same opening that she always plays 😢 You can’t make this up 😅
Double Botez gambit gone wild 😍
Forget the chess match, Dina and Hammer were the true heroes 🤣
Congratulations, Alexandra, on your Tournament win. And Andrea, this one Did look good for quite a while.
I was really hoping that Botez would win but I'm glad that Botez won, even though Botez was always gonna be the favourite to win against Botez
11:34 andrea wants to make alex laugh so bad
The tournament was very entertaining.
6:14 😂 the reactions!!!
Is it possible to get the PGN of all 9 of Alexandra's games from this event? Are the games on a website somewhere? Bravo to both for 8.5/9 and 6/9.
I loved how they could barely contain their excitement at the start of the match 😄
We know Alex's weakness is kids, but at least there's one kid she can still beat.
4:28 I'm crying this is great
It was fun watching the tournament and listening to Dina and Hammer. Hope we get more of them.
Go Alex!! 🙌🏽🎉
Great sibling rivalry 😂😂. Keep it up!!!
Andrea: keep your spirits up, you don’t need Stanford to be a better chess player 😅. Plus, Dina needs you to ride your beautiful Ferrari more skillfully 😅
In my opinion, and honest pov is that until Andrea can play more than just the London; while adding a title to her name as a good chess player. I think she won’t be equal to Alexandra in level, but even so… she is a great chess player that can beat a lot of players; another not everyone or a reasonable amount of people that have a title. I am definitely a fan of both, but more Alexandra than Andrea..
Commentary is funny with biased commentators, and I'm here for it.
their faces while shaking hands 💀💀
we love u and u did great
Gremlin's revenge ahh!
It's more like a shiny new beautiful Ferrari smashing into a steel-reinforced beautiful alcoholic Ferrari. But I understand analogies are hard when it isn't your first language.
:-D
Bro... Andrea should do modeling 🔥🔥💯
It must have been hard for Andrea growing up with a more beautiful and higher rated at chess sister but now she has grown up she is just as beautiful, smashes it with her DJ and music production collaboration, has a fantastic personality that balances cerebral focus with whimsical humour and energy. Oh, and let's not forget her physicality: the honing of her body and the bravery she showed with the chess boxing that shows a determination to go beyond what Alexandra would consider.
The fact is that without some radical medically induced brain changes (maybe nootropics such as modafinil combined with intensive training under an electro magnetic stimulation induced child like neuroplastic brain state) Alexandra is always going to be that little bit better unless she suffers some sort of brain injury or neurodegenerative illness. Ability at chess is a bit like height. When a player begins to learn they are lying down as they improve they go from crouching to stooped to eventually standing straight. At that point sure a tiny extra boost might be achieved by stretching but there is a limit beyond which your height will not naturally increase. It's like Alexandra's chess height is 5ft 8" while Andrea is 5ft 6". Some kids can become very good when young but the fact that non of these kids with elos of 2000+ at 5 reach an elo of 3000 shows that there is a physical limit. Sure, most people can improve a bit as most people never even reach their standing chess height let alone the stretching height that can be achieved with hours of study. Magnus carlsen is just a giant. The fact is he may still have a stoop but has not had an opponent that has forced him to stretch.
Alex won as expected❤
Why is there a photo of Andrea on the wall?
I need to see Dina v Hammer in chess boxing
love the sisters
match of the century
That dude's death stare from behind the plants at 6:36 is scaring the hell out of me ... 😆
Awesome job Alex! I also want to congratulate Andrea for going 6/9 and 11th ! Also, the 14 year old who got 2nd!
😂 great video. Love these girls ❤
how to watch the game when there are so many video cuts here and there all over the place
Today We love chess mostly because of you two :)
because us younger sisters have to stick together and I'm old enough to be your grandmother, ..if I was mega mega rich, I would hire the best grandmaster in the world to coach little sister for big win! Love the video so much fun!!!!!!❤❤
Now upload the tournament winners ceremony, BotezLive.
These sisters are very cute😊.
Manchester derby
Dina is so funny
when u change position of board each seconds its a mess...
Cool revenge for a pickle suit :)
The poster pf the kid is me watching this
so many good memorys... I allready miss Hammer
"which is simply just not true..." fucking cold bro
cold, hard facts
Who am I rooting for!? I love this duo too much....
Any updates on the enigma that is Dario Di Dario ?
"Double Botez gambit" Gold
Yay for Alex!
Wow! Alex heard Dina say that? Hmmm, that would definitely be motivating. And I liked the confidence with the smile right at the end 😉 I should be more suspicious 😎
andrea the sexiest chess player of all time
That was her only opening? What about the Botez Gambit? LOL!
One thing you gotta learn is to not move the chessboard to different parts of the screen every half second. Some people are here to watch the game, so please place the board at a specific part of the screen all the time, don't move it around.
Where is the video on the final round??
Like they have never played each other before xD
