That beautiful white fountain in Forsyth Park was ordered from a mail order catalog back in the day wayyy before Amazon. I was born right across from Forsyth Park. Thank you for posting this video I posted some messages here not to put down your video but to help others enjoy their trip and stay healthy.
Hey! Thanks for watching our videos! The Pirate’s House was a wonderful gem! Did you find any other things your children liked? We struggled with that, honestly because Savannah has so much historical information, it was really over the head of our (at the time) two-year-old. I enjoyed you’re video about hitting 1,000 subs fast. Hope you don’t judge our channel by this video. We stepped outside our niche for this one, but it’s been one of our top-performing vids!
That's my favorite songs that I am now I'm going to the restaurant there oh yeah they got awesome food in front of when I'm through with Savannah's in my go to Tybee Island yeah oh yes fun
I have been on the dinner cruise I have been on there free ferry ride and I will take you free ferry ride any day of the week and then eat what I want they're on the docks in the water
didn't look like there was much to do besides eat lol not saying that's a bad thing lol didn't look like too much fun for a toddler? would you recommend making this an adults only trip instead?
I will be honest that it was challenging for our toddler. There was a lot of walking and most everything was history, which she doesn’t understand. There is a playground at Forsyth Park and there’s a children’s museum in the city (which we didn’t cover in this video). Our toddler might also have liked the beaches at Tybee Island, but we went in the winter months, so it was cold especially for us as we live in South Florida.
Hi! What an amazing video! We would love to feature a few seconds of it (with credit) to promote travel in Georgia. Your perspective is so fun! If interested, you can grant us permission through the “collector” link in our bio. Hope to hear from you soon!
Sure. I’ll look that up. I have seen where you guys have tried to comment a few times, but TH-cam kept deleting it. Also, we are open and willing to working with travel boards as well. Leopold’s is a over advertised OVER PRICED tourist trap. See they have a location in the airport and people don’t get a chance to stop there on their way in town because they’re ready to get to where they’re going and I got to say Leopold’s was very smart to put a location in the airport knowing that… But trust me the people that have stood in line and paid all of that money for that normal ice cream that exactly right...is nothing special about the ice cream. The locals don’t go to Lady and Sons, we go to Wilkes dining room. Back in the day it was Wilkes boarding house. You sit at a table with 23 bowls full of different recipes, at a huge family style table with strangers who may be from Zimbabwe, Japan, Canada or who live on the next block. Nowadays the tradition is to everybody stand back and take a picture before sitting down. Everyone has a glass of tea at each place setting and you pass the bowls around, southern buttered hot biscuits and cornbread are served. And for dessert, it’s Southern… Banana pudding peach or cherry cobbler or pineapple upside down cake etc. Paula Deen‘s is a tourist trap and she’s racist.
Is that in the historic district? I’ve been to a restaurant like that called the Dillard House! It was an unforgettable experience! We’ll have to check that out the next time we’re there! What a great recommendation.
