@@thenotsojollyrancher-akate9516 shouldn’t be that hard you’ll need something to pull out on the idler to get the piston out of the recoil spring. I work for a cat dealer if you need any parts breakdowns or anything I have a paper parts and service manual for 11k s/n but I think all 977 k & L run the same adjusters.
I’m fixing to have to replace this seal but I was hoping not to take track off! Is that necessary?
It’s not necessary I had to shim the up and down play on the idler. And fix some other things someone had previously attempted to repair.
