I'm lucky that the cruise ships drop fresh tourists here twice a week. They all get shuttled to the same spot for a couple hours. Easy pickings. Lots of freshies.

Did ya ever think to go to more sandy areas on the beach than rocky. People aint going to sit on rocks. capisce
The sanded areas of this particular beach is composed of newly deposited sand. The area where the rocks are exposed is washed out. In other words those rocks were under the sand that people sat on all last summer. That’s why I only got lightweight junk in the sandy spots and all the coins came from the rocks.

From what I’ve been told, the banks will take them but it’s a long process to finally get your money. I’m going to wait until I have an absurdly unreasonable amount of crusty zinc pennies before I try it 😂😂
