the last deck i played with my gf in DSK was red/black control using eerie, sacrifice, and reanimator, splashing green to play broodspinner, with dashing bloodsucker as the all-star creature it all revolved around. the deck felt so backwards but it was a real killer and that is one of my actual favorite things about the set; the surface level draft guidelines were useful but sometimes a deck like no other was in those packs waiting to be drafted by someone who could see the really atypically powerful way the cards could all fit together.
Thanks for continuing to produce a great amount of content over the years. Even stepping away from Magic for 90% of 2024, coming back was easy with the quality stuff you both put out. Cheers and good luck in the coming year.
Thanks for a great year, LoL! Loved all your content, learned so much, and had so much joy seeing how passionate you two are talking about limited Magic. All the best for 2025! 😊
I definitely feel like Murders held up as a unique and interesting format in retrospect. Obviously, quick draft is not the same, but I had a lot of fun when it rotated back in.
Making my voice heard that i love the letter number grading might be a little clunky sometimes but so is card evaluation and the letter only grades are supremely unhelpful as you guys have already identified!

Letter/Number Grading is Iconic
definitely led to better discussions
Confirmed and subscribed
awesome to see some love for the new system!
The pure joy when discussing these makes this show what it is. Love you boys
Thanks so much!

Tatyova was great in Foundations. It's not her fault that blue-green was unplayable there. But she was amazing even as a splash.
that's fair, she shouldn't suffer for UG's sins
Oh boy! A post-Christmas gift!

This brought back so much I'd forgotten. I actually literally forgot about some sets because they rotate way too fast for me to remain memorable.
strap in for 2025...
That last day of DSK drafting on arena was a sad day. I only got 1 last draft in. We got robbed.

My set ranking for the year is the same of Ethan (with maybe OTJ and MH3 swapped). MKM is an underrated format
DSK & MKM were the only “better than average” formats of the year. Everything else was “nice but flawed”
@Datq13 yeah agree
yeah MKM being at the beginning of the year makes it easy to forget/overlook, but we loved it
Love this kind of episode to close out a year
Thanks for watching!

that's great to hear, thank you!
Excelent episode
Thanks!
DSK best of the year got me back into Magic an qualified to championship 8!
you love to see it, congrats!
You can like other cards more, but if we're talking about power level, the best Golden Egg is Glimmerlight and it isn't remotely close.
