The absolutely beautiful aura at Hanukkah/Christmas - Jewish families decorating homes inside with a blue & white lights on the tree and property adorned with blue and white lights, decorations proudly showing their beloved faith. As a Messianic Jew, I could not help laughing a little when the speaker said "even Jesus celebrated Chanukah." Of course He did; it would be totally natural to Him. He celebrated how the Maccabees faced overwhelming odds, vastly outnumbered and out-weaponed by the massive armies of Greek soldiers and mercenaries sent their way. Yet, with a prayer on their lips, they managed to surprise the enemy and send them fleeing in fear time and time again. He celebrated how God, over and over again, comes to the aid of His people. Yeshua was born to a Jewish mother. Yeshua was Jewish. He taught in the Temple when He was 12, from the Torah scroll. The candle in the window is a lovely gesture. Just as an FYI, did you know there are still some elderly survivors of the Holocaust in Israel...evidently they were children at the time...and they live in poverty. There are organizations that make sure they receive food.
