Why do Instagram stories on any Flagship Android look low quality as compared to the iPhone ? Here is the answer It's a good deep technical question… the answer is API In fact, image quality issue is not only observed on Instagram, but also on Facebook and Snapchat. These programs give API for Android as an OS , but they do not give an API for each Android device because of the large variety number of devices and their different operating interfaces. Meaning, Since there are so many different manufacturers for so many different Android devices, Instagram or snapchat aren't just going to be optimised for that huge variety number of devices, because they can't. And Optimising an app for Android OS is a thing, but optimising that app for the different skins and interfaces that Android devices manufacturers make (which means thousands of camera apps) is completely insane and impossible to achieve. But for the ios devices (IPhones) , it's only a one camera app, which makes it super easy for instagram or snapchat developers to optimise it for iphones. And giving more API to iOS because the devices that run on it are fewer (a lot fewer) . because the iphone is the only phone that run on the iOS system. and therefore the options are limited and easy to update, so the iphone get more easy attention from the apps like Instagram and Snapchat. It should be noted that the Instagram application appeared on iPhone devices two years before it appeared on Android devices. Note: API (Application Programming Interface) is a set of functions that allows applications to access data and interact with external software components, operating systems, or microservices. To simplify, an API delivers a user response to a system and sends the system's response back to a user.

No mention of the industry leading zeiss t* optics? I find it frustrating that youtubers credit the Sony sensor and aren’t praising the zeiss optics enough. I mean… why do you think iPhones look like garbage? It’s not just the HDR processing buddy. I personally came from Nokia and then ended up with iPhone… and the thing I notice is how much I miss the character and clarity of the ZEISS OPTICS in the Nokias- RIP. Best optics I ever had on a phone however was the lumix cm-1 which featured a Leica elmarit. I see zeiss on a Sony as the last stand against Samsung and Apple… Just a shame that Sony sells at Apple prices when Android is an inferior OS
I also like Sony a lot ! But one thing that I find disappointing is the update policy of only two years. They used to be one of the best in the Android support
As a long-time iPhone user and content creator, I’ve never been more tempted to switch to a Sony phone! The ability to use this with my A7RV as an external field monitor is pretty amazing!
Being a hobbyist at best, but liking Sony phones over the years, how is the camera performance in the 'Basic' mode instead of the various 'Manual' modes? The post-processing for Sony handling action shots, artificial light, etc was a consistent issue I had in previous years if I wasn't using Manual modes and then using Lightroom on the RAW image file on the Z series and something that still came up in reviews with the Xperia I IV. How does it do with just capturing the moment? I feel a better comparison especially with colour comparison (less oversaturated) would have been a Google Pixel 7 Pro.
Can you turn off dynamic tone mapping when shooting video with manual exposure? I’m looking for a phone to replace my iphone because Apple does not allow manual exposure on any iphone and even when using advanced 3rd party video apps like filmic because you can’t turn of dynamic tone mapping so exposure goes all over thr place.
Bravo. You are a professional. Good afternoon, I am also a photographer. Say please? Which is better for photos and videos: SONY XPERIA PRO-I or SONY XPERIA 1V, 5V, please advise which one to take? Thank you very much in advance!
Sony brought out the 1 IV with the full knowledge that it would quickly overheat within an alarmingly short period of time, closing down essential camera functions. They quite frankly should be giving this new phone free gratis to everyone that paid serious money for the previous model. I personally feel cheated and ripped off by Sony's clear dishonesty over a product that should have never reached the market.
how short is short, like 3 minutes? I've been wanting to replace my iPhone 12 because it overheats in like 5 minutes of continuous video recording in max settings.
Are the photos the right way around @1:36? You say the Sony has better dynamic range and contrast - yet the Apple image obviously has greater dynamic range and contrast?
The improved night capability and the finally, finally added focus peaking is definitely worth the upgrade from the Mark IV. At least for me. Good job folks!!!

It is 3 years
Nice review however, I noticed you didn't compare the last few photos (night shoot in particular) with the iphone?
No notch, has an headphone jack and 5000 mah battery? Brooo❤❤❤❤❤❤
And 1400 dollars
@@sumonkay worth it ❤️
I have the xperia XZ premium and I love sony smartphones! hope get this one in the future :D
Why were you using that black thing only on Sony Xperia if you just use another one on iPhone that might have changed into black tone more
Can you turn off dynamic tone mapping when shooting video with manual exposure? I’m looking for a phone to replace my iphone because Apple does not allow manual exposure on any iphone and even when using advanced 3rd party video apps like filmic because you can’t turn of dynamic tone mapping so exposure goes all over thr place.
Where did you buy your ND filter? Does it come with mount that doesn't block the screen?
Great review and knowledge!
When taking a video, can you switch it from front cam to rear cam, back and forth????
Bravo. You are a professional. Good afternoon, I am also a photographer. Say please? Which is better for photos and videos: SONY XPERIA PRO-I or SONY XPERIA 1V, 5V, please advise which one to take? Thank you very much in advance!
Waited so long for this phone.....definitely gonna be upgraded to it
definitely, I been waiting since January.
Sony xperia natural colors 👌 best camera
Are the photos the right way around @1:36?
You say the Sony has better dynamic range and contrast - yet the Apple image obviously has greater dynamic range and contrast?
What ND filter do you use with the xperia ?
I see there is ND filter on SoNY .Wonder if any gimbal can handle such setup .Gimbal with stativ + nd filter mounted
The improved night capability and the finally, finally added focus peaking is definitely worth the upgrade from the Mark IV. At least for me. Good job folks!!!
I am upgrading as well but honestly feel kinda been cheated by Sony with 1 IV
@@JoeGillian0 in wich sense?
@@alexbuceavideo because my phone overheats while using the camera after a few minutes....also I really think (maybe they will) they should put software features from 1 V to 1 IV and not keep them exclusive to 1 V.
Also they they should give longer updates...especially because they release their phones with Android N, while android n+1 is already out or just around the corner...
@@JoeGillian0 Confirm the same. Even after the updates little has changed 🙄. I mean focus peaking is a matter of the software... But like always, it's a selling point 🤷. Still an amazing piece of tech for people like us!
@@alexbuceavideo someone suggested I root my Xperia 1 IV that way I can change CPU speed or even disable sone cores ...therefore should give better battery life
most of your videos were shot with a filter on the Sony Xperia vs Direct shot from iPhone .. How is that a direct comparison? I am no fan of iPhone, I am just evaluating which one to buy , the 15 Pro Max or the Xperia V
Go for pro max, 1 v is a headache. When it becomes hot the video stops recording. And it uses snapdragon. That's what I hated.
Honestly super good video, got some goosebumps on the xperia car riding shots! Would you mind sharing the ND filter, or the clip itself? I'm planning to get the phone and your setup seems super legit!
I don’t see any ND on iPhone, so what are we comparing here?
So if you have a Sony ZV-E10 can I use this phone as an EVF ?
WAS THERE AN OVER HEATING ISSUE LINE ON THE 1 MK IV
I didn't understand one thing, does it have a macro lens to take pictures as if you had a microscope like Iphone 13 pro or 14 pro?
I’d like to know if ProRes video format was used in the iPhone… because if it’s not, well… I don’t think this is a fair comparison.
Only two years of software supports if that lol. I’ll never buy another Sony until they fix that. With their current pricing they are insane.
See the problem is with reviews like this, is that it’s bias. It’s bias to the new phone that’s released. They’re looking and trying to make it look better than the opposition. I won’t watch shit like that.
I love Xperia's late compact phones ever since my late teenhood, it's where I started, and I just love small and compact phones in general. But this is the only humongous smartphone that I will ever consider purchasing. Unless Apple puts the headphone port back on the iPhones.
When you shoot the fx3 footage directly to the phone is it 8-bit 1080p or 10-bit 1080p. Resolution loss isn’t too bad tbh but just wondering more about pushing the edit
I badly want to know about the ND filter setup used with the sony phone. I am using a sony xperia pro-i, i hope that gear is compatible with all kinds of phone
How can we edit videos we take with Xperia 1 V or 1 IV directly in the Xperia phone without loosing quality? Every third party app I tried so far is causing quality loss on my Sony videos when I try to edit it in the Xperia 1 IV. They all work fine with Apple. Is there any solution for this issue?
Can you shoot raw with the Motion Cam app? I'd like to see this pushed to its limits with an emphasis on dynamic range and raw. Looks interesting.
Yes, I also want to see that!
Would love to know if this can film raw on motioncam pro.
I'm thinking of getting this phone but I can't anywhere online what network bands it supports. Can you list them or take a pic of the box please?
There was a live presentation. They said it would be available for purchase next month. I imagine world wide.
Look we need to see that ball should not go out from the frame when go out of stadium or cross border for 4 or 6
Do you understand or not ?
Super a jak problem nagrzewania itd
Sir your video is so good
Take love from Bangladesh 🥰🥰🥰
Sony experia 1 v vs Huawei p60 pro . What do you think about it?
Keep up the work guyss content is class.
xperia went crazy🔥
Guys the background Music and your own audio sound differs in volume, I have to constantly adjust the volume up and how every time you talk and show the b-roll shot. 😅
This is how a TH-camr deserve a like and Subscribe never saw such a camera review in whole my life in TH-cam keep it up soon will reach 5Millions subscriber this is what we need in a phone review to chose which one to buy
I am telling other TH-camrs this how review looks like
may i ask what is the brand you're using for your ND filter?
Looks like polar pro ND filter
Verry Exciting for Xperia 1mV
If only Moment made an lens case for this I could use my anamorphic with filmic pro.
I just picked this up. A little late at this point but I'm really excited to try it out
Is it me or is the sound all over the place for this one?
I am planning to switch from iphone to this for my photographic + videographic purposes . Let me know it will be a good shift or bad ... I do have the apple ecosystem in place as of now... So I may retain iphone for using it though
