I’ve done a few SW figs it’s works to a certain point but they will slowly over time turn yellow again ,but the vehicles seem to do much better than figs and the vehicles seem to stay unstained better as well.
I have childhood Stormtroopers that my mother soaked in peroxide over 40 years ago. Peroxide has been used to clean blood forever, mostly by women. So when I wanted to clean them (usually just grime or pen marks) she would soak them in peroxide. They are still white today. So when people say they will turn yellow again, I'm not sure how long they are talking. Another 40 years? Maybe. I also use Dawn soap, but I'm not afraid to soak in peroxide. Or bleach for that matter. Both are shipped and stored in plastic bottles.
You could try baby bottle sterilisation tablets they work brilliantly
