I am just SO happy and excited about this review - it checks ALL of my boxes, I can’t wait to try this. I would never discover good foundations if it weren’t for you thank you Shelly 🥇👏🏻😊❤️
Yay!!! 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻 An A!!! I’m glad you liked it!!! I love this foundation. Dry 56 year old skin still likes looking fresh and somewhat dewy. I was looking high and low for a foundation to replace Clinique’s dewy smooth which was discontinued and finally I found a perfect replacement and I didn’t have to spend $60 to do it.
I love this foundation. Pampered Wolf recommended and I hesitated because the drugstore foundations havent worked on my skin. I’m 44 and this is a hit on my dry skin.
Shelly! Another great review. I love when cruelty free companies score an A with foundation. Thanks for turning us on to so many great products. Have a great week and enjoy the October days! Sending good wishes to you. 😸🍁😸🍂
You are gorgeous and funny! I am 40yr I went from having oily skin, I’m talking like a dico ball 🤣 to having combo. It has been a challenge. No wrinkles, yet. The dry spots, minimal fine lines and now enlarged pores have my face screaming for mercy! Thank you so much! You Rock!
Yaaay I’m in mid 30s with combo (mostly dry) skin and have been looking for a review of this that isn’t an oily faced twenty-something! I’m going to try it out!!
Hi Shelly! Just wanted to say how much I love your channel! I am also in my 40's and have dry skin, as you do. Your reviews are so helpful and fun to watch. I love how you cover both high-end and drugstore, that is awesome! This looks like a great foundation to try, thanks so much! :)
Love the review! Thanks so much. I'm a full coverage EL Doublewear girl but there is just something about the finish of this foundation that I love. I've been using it with Rimmel Stay Matte primer and I've been able to get a good 10 - 12 hours wear with this and still have the radiant finish.
Yayyy!! Shelly!!! Thank you for reviewing this foundation!! It looks great on you!! Love it! And thank you for keeping the whole cruelty free theme 💗 I feel like 💩 today but you always manage to put a smile on my face 😀 thank you 🙏
Purchased based on your review. Foundation hater here. Over 50, still want live, dry skin. Easy application, blends well, nice match, stays put, no patchiness, looks healthy, long wearing and loving it thus far, day 2-thank you
I’ve got to try it especially since the colder months are approaching. During the Summer I like using matte sunscreens and foundations but we all know how cold and drying the Winters are, so I need something affordable, glowing and looks good on the skin. I’m definitely going to order a shade asap! Thank you so much for the review- it’s exactly what I need!
Ooh! I’ve been waiting for this. Mandy @ Uhapi Beauty uploaded a “30 Halloween Questions” tag video. It was so fun! Do you have time to do it? I’d love to see yours. ☺️
Fantastic review!! This has been on my radar. A lot of people are saying great things about it. I would LOVE for you to review CP’s Tinted Moisturizer. Also, have you ever reviewed MAC’s Face & Body? I couldn’t find it. Thanks, beeeautiful🍃🌸
As a dry skin girl with very similar texture to yours, I have been LOVING your reviews. I find myself watching them before making a foundation purchase. You never disappoint. Thank you!! ☺️
Thanks, Sarah! If you haven't seen the master spreadsheet, here are the grades for all of the foundation reviews (ranked and searchable!) - geekoutofwater.com/foundation-fest/
I’ve been using this foundation for the past 3 ish years and it makes my 23 years old fair Scottish skin look sooooo good. I love this product! So glad it gets a good write up
Shelly, you are seriously like that awesome cool bestie I never had lol. We're very similar skin wise (dark hair, fair dry/maturing skin) so it is such a huge help to see someone doing reviews for our skin type and shade range (I swear it feels like half off reviewers have oily skin with warm undertones lol.) So from all of us dry skin gals, thank you!
I found some statistic a little while ago (that of course now I can't find again) that when you take out the people that only have dry skin in the winter, we're something like less than 1 in 5 of the population that are dry skinned year round. Oy!
I wanted to thank you sooo much for this recommendation. I love this foundation!! I am dry and fair/cool toned as well. The second color is perfection on me. I adore you and your channel! Keep up the great work. 💗💗
Shelly, thank you for this. It sounds like a dream. It looks fantastic on you, just a little light. I just went to their Website. According to them, I'm Warm Vanilla. Since we both have dry skin (and mine is quite a bit older than yours!), I'm going back to Target or Ulta over the weekend. Yay, an A!!! Thank you for finding this❣💗💗😘
Shelly, thank you so much for having the CYO LifeProof foundation included in your swatches. That is my perfect shade and it is so helpful to see it next to the foundation that you are reviewing. ❤🖤❤🖤❤ EDIT: Are you planning to buy the Anastasia Beverly Hills x Carli Bybel palette that comes out on 10/7? The colors are so beautiful! It's limited edition, which is making me want it more! Ugh!
Rosalba Trujillo, Angie/HotandFlashy did her faves and fails for September and mentioned the Soap & Glory Kickass foundation. They’re both owned by Boots No. 7 and Kickass is the CYO Lifeproof rebranded. It’s the exact same formula and shade range.
@@ItsJustLisa Thank you, Lisa. I did watch Angie's review as well as Taylor's. When I run out of my CYO, I will purchase the Soap and Glory one. I have like 8 back ups. 😉
Finally a foundation that isn’t aimed at oily skin. It’s quite annoying that the large majority of foundations are always for oily skin. Yes, we get it, most people have oily or combination skin, but there’s many others that have dry skin and there such a low selection, especially at the drugstore!!! Thanks for the review!!!
Ack, I just said last weekend no more foundations, but now I have to buy this one! Usually if you like it, I like it... thank you for encouraging my makeup habit!
I love watching you read the companies' product blurbs! Mainly coz I have the same reactions. As for the foundation, wow, what a nice surprise. This might be the first Nyx foundation to really tempt me... nice finish, pretty good performance and seems like a great undertone (not the dreaded orange "pink"). Be interesting to see how long it takes for us to get it here, and what they'll charge us... typically their foundations are $25-30 here (which is equal to about US$17-21), that's pretty much Maybelline/Loreal type prices - our "drug store pricing".
Lots of people of different skin types have been loving this. So of course now I had to order it! I think it will be good for traveling because of the small packaging.
This might be a great one for me! There is actually a cool tone shade that looks cool and not peach! CYO 01, s a good shade match for me. The second, NYX swatch, looks comparable to CYO, on my screen.
I thought the same! I hate those supposedly cool pink foundations that are actually warm peachy-orange! Also good, because we here will probably eventually get the Nyx one, whereas neither the CYO or the Soap&Glory dupe are available here (nor will the US & UK retailers ship internationally to us here).
I'm in my 40's so I always like to see what you think about foundations! Usually, you and I have the same opinion on the foundations I end up trying. Keep the reviews coming!!! I find that I usually have to mix a couple of shades to get my shade match, I'm a redhead with dry, fair skin. Right now I have been mixing the Smashbox 24 hour hydrating foundation in shade 0.3 with this Nyx BTG in shade 6.5 nude.
When I was in Florida I went to Sephora for the first time and it was amazing, I picked up the Kat Von D foundation, yeah I know shoot me lol, it’s a FULL coverage foundation but it’s beautiful, I understand if u wouldn’t want to test it out on ur channel because I seen the comments on ur video about the eyebrow products, I also got a mini of the concealer and setting powder and I was really impressed, it doesn’t dry my under eyes, if u haven’t tried them I’d defo recommend
Yay! I'm happy to hear this is Shelly approved! I've seen some great reviews on this one and was wondering if you'd be reviewing but forgot to ask in previous comments. I'll stop at Ulta today and pick it up. I ordered the Milk Flex Stick after you reviewed it last week, it arrived yesterday and I can't wait to try it today. :-) Have a fantastic weekend Shelly!
I love the NYX foundation, in my opinion is very similar to the ABH Luminous foundation, just cheaper, so they're both in my rotation... I guess there will be no need to repurchase the ABH one 😉... hugzzz!
Thanks Shelly! I've been wanting to try this was awaiting your review and I'm going to pick it up!!!!!... I just received in the mail the Kiko Milano full coverage HYDRA foundation from their Sicilian NOTES line. Haven't tried it as it just came... I've been loving the CoverGirl TruBlend Super Stunner Hyper-Glow Highlight cuz it really works well if one has a little bit of texture here and there!!!
I was hoping you would do a review of this foundation! :D Looks nice and smooth. :) I think 9 or 10 hours is respectable. A few days ago I bought a tube of the Milani Amore Shine lipstick in that same shade. It's so pretty and neutral! I love it!
I usually use L’Oreal pro-glow foundation in my dry skin. Ive been wanting to try this foundation but I can’t find it in stores. It’s hard to get a good match when buying online.
I have this and I like it too , I actually might mix a bit with Conceal and define as sometimes the define looks to dry on me .. but love the coverage . Thanks for another great video
Whaaaaaaaaaatt? 😲 Must have now. I just ordered a bunch of foundations last night but Target doesn’t have this one yet or I would have bought it. I do love the Can’t stop Won’t stop but it gets so dry. Love the way it looks initially, though.
Hi Shelly! Don't you just love the way the makeup advertising writers promise that our skin will be totally transformed if we use their product! It makes me smile every time! Based on your review of Anastasia Beverly Hills foundation, I ordered it and am waiting for it to arrive, fingers crossed it works as well on me. :0)
Wow I need to give this a shot, especially now that we're heading into cooler weather. The price is good too, i've not been a fan of NYX prices in the past.
It looked really good on you! I don't know what's going on with my skin... It's made a change. This foundation dried me out like the Sahara! And the new Smashbox is amazing on me! What?!? Have you gained a lot of new subs? Seems your number has jumped - right on!! 👍
I love this foundation - and it looks so awesome on your skin!! How would you compare the finish of the Covergirl highlight with Wet n Wild MegaGlo Highlighting Powder? Love how glassy & not shimmery the Covergirl looked on you.
I saw an application tip on another site I would love to see you try. After your primer and before your foundation powder your nose and chin. Since your chin seems to loose coverage 1st hoping this would help to keep coverage.
Out of curiosity, do you retest foundations in the seasons opposite the ones you filmed reviews in? This foundation seems like a no-brainer for winter, for those of us like you and I that actually have winter. I wonder if the ones that fail because of things like over-hydration, or whatever, are better suited to the dry and cold we get while the more drying ones are better for sweaty summers.
Natascha Valkenhoff same! I really wanted to love this but the cool undertones were too pick, the warm were too yellow and the neutral was too beige 🤦🏻♀️. I ended up buying a colourpop one.
I love this and have 2 shades as well. Hey Shelly, after watching all your videos I decided to buy the Elf foundation brush u always use. Mine is CONSTANTLY SHEDDING! Did I get a bad one?? Does yours do this? It doesn't seem it when u use it on camera. It's so annoying. Thnx for another foundation review.
No way will I accept the 👌🏻 sign being demonized. It’s the sign for Okay. In American Sign langue its a game too. So there is no way I am adopting the new thought casted upon such an old sign.
Are u still liking this foundation ? I used it last year and enjoyed it , wondering if I should try it again for the colder months. I’m 42 this Halloween
I’m trying to find the right shade for myself and I’m usually pretty close to you, maybe a little more neutral but I was wondering if you had any sort of tan left over from the summer when you tried this foundation since you said it was a little too light for you.
I am in my 40’s with extremely dry skin. I love this. It covers well and is so light. My skin hates full coverage.
Kathy Brou me too!! Bought this foundation yesterday.
Kathy Brou MINE TOO!! I look like I am about 90 and a RAISIN.
This foundation seems exactly like the type of foundation I'd go for. It's great that you tested it out.
I am just SO happy and excited about this review - it checks ALL of my boxes, I can’t wait to try this. I would never discover good foundations if it weren’t for you thank you Shelly 🥇👏🏻😊❤️

All my dry skin needed to hear is that it's comfortable and hydrating! Needless to say I'm hitting Ulta today:)
Tiger Lily yes! During the Summer I am just dry.., when winter sets in, I am like spongebob in Sandy’s habitat.
@@teresamckeown5594 Yes! I know the feeling. And retin-a doesn't make it easier!:)
You are gorgeous and funny! I am 40yr

Awesome!! An "A" for $10.00! The color looked perfect on you. Thanks for the review Shelly, this one is on my list now .
I really want this one!
* came back to your video, noticed my comment and thought I’d add that I just bought it today!
This one wasn't on my radar at all but.... guess I will have to try it!

I feel like 💩 today but you always manage to put a smile on my face 😀 thank you 🙏
I’m still debating on getting this. I’m 50 and need the moisture. I’m super impressed with the longevity you had with this. Great tutorial.
This is one of my new favorites! Longevity in a dewy finish is hard to find, and the Nyx holds up great over time.
Yup it's an awesome foundation

I LOVE that someone finally made a light olive tone. Nude is a good shade for you semi pale olive skinned ladies.
As a dry skin girl with very similar texture to yours, I have been LOVING your reviews.

Hi Shelly, Wow nice to finally see a Glowy Foundation that doesn't emphasize texture :)
I wanted to thank you sooo much for this recommendation. I love this foundation!! I am dry and fair/cool toned as well. The second color is perfection on me. I adore you and your channel! Keep up the great work. 💗💗
I'm so glad! I just wore it again today, too! :-D
This look is amazing. Like, red carpet worthy.

I think you look great! The shade seemed to be a really nice match. BTW that highlight is gorgeous. Bling-bling! Thanks!
When you said it doesn't emphasize texture or pores and also THAT FINISH... I was totally sold. New suscriber, you rook. Typo: you rock!

It looks stunning on you! 💚
I absolutely loved this on you in the outside video. Beautiful & the color is perfect on you. Very pretty!! 👌🏼

Thanks! I have heard this compared to the new ABH foundation. Do you think it's similar?
This looks so great! I don't wear foundation but I might try this one!

I love this foundation. I find it lasts pretty well too. I don't powder afterwards as I love the finish so much.
On my list to buy now. Thanks for the review
I just wore this one again in the GRWM that just went up. It's super versatile and pretty!
Wow I need to give this a shot, especially now that we're heading into cooler weather. The price is good too, i've not been a fan of NYX prices in the past.
hi, shelly! this d.d. says "heck, yeah!" i'll be looking for this one for sure. lovely glow. take care, busy times for you. ~k
It looked really good on you! I don't know what's going on with my skin... It's made a change. This foundation dried me out like the Sahara! And the new Smashbox is amazing on me! What?!?
Have you gained a lot of new subs? Seems your number has jumped - right on!! 👍
Looks like I'll have to give this one a try.
Whoo hoo, my next drugstore foundation!

I'm actually trying this foundation today too😺
Out of curiosity, do you retest foundations in the seasons opposite the ones you filmed reviews in? This foundation seems like a no-brainer for winter, for those of us like you and I that actually have winter. I wonder if the ones that fail because of things like over-hydration, or whatever, are better suited to the dry and cold we get while the more drying ones are better for sweaty summers.
Please review the Zuii organic Lux Luminescent foundation although the shade range is very limited because they are a smaller Aussie organic brand
+ your youthful GLOW I love it! Considering buying covergirl highlighter! I love this foundation it is maturing skin friendly I’m 41 years young.😜
Well that's exciting!
OMG! I have to try this one. I hope it looks good on me, I'll keep my fingers crossed...lol
I wish I could find my shade in this foundation!!! I have one when I was tan and omg love, love, love it!!! Damn it I can’t find the right one 😖😖😖.
I loved it too, wish it would last long, but I'm okay with it, makes my skin look real nice.. 😊
I need this in an olive undertone! Really want to try this one 😆 loved the video ❤️
Natascha Valkenhoff same! I really wanted to love this but the cool undertones were too pick, the warm were too yellow and the neutral was too beige 🤦🏻♀️. I ended up buying a colourpop one.
6.5 nude is GREEN a decent nc20 but even more olive
I love this and have 2 shades as well. Hey Shelly, after watching all your videos I decided to buy the Elf foundation brush u always use. Mine is CONSTANTLY SHEDDING! Did I get a bad one?? Does yours do this? It doesn't seem it when u use it on camera. It's so annoying. Thnx for another foundation review.
I would love to see you review Hard Candy Glamoflauge. Ive heard great things but would love to hear what you think.
I love this foundation!
Im so gonna pick this up:) thank you so much:)
Looks wonderful.....what bronzer did you use and blush?
Hi Janet! My apologies - I also used the blush and bronzer from the same CoverGirl palette as the highlight!
thanks for the review, i might try this one :)
Did you happen to catch Jeffree Star’s review of Believe Beauty cosmetics? He loved (most of) it! Shocker!
No way will I accept the 👌🏻 sign being demonized. It’s the sign for Okay. In American Sign langue its a game too. So there is no way I am adopting the new thought casted upon such an old sign.
Hi Shelly! This one looks like a good one! I saw it but passed it up, now, I think I’ll give it a try!🌺🌺🌺
Thanks for the review.
Are u still liking this foundation ?
I used it last year and enjoyed it , wondering if I should try it again for the colder months.
I’m 42 this Halloween
Yes!! Still one of my top picks!
How does this compare to Mac Face and Body? F&B is my holy grail but I'd like a cruelty-free dupe so I can switch.
I’m trying to find the right shade for myself and I’m usually pretty close to you, maybe a little more neutral but I was wondering if you had any sort of tan left over from the summer when you tried this foundation since you said it was a little too light for you.
