- In this first episode of farming Britain we are gathering the Carneddau ponies from the welsh mountains with Gareth Wyn Jones, plus shopping for new machinery at the LAMMA show 2024 with Andy Crow and Charlotte Ashley. We have news with David Wright on the "hay bale of news," plus we hear the distressing story of trying to make a dairy work in West Wales in 2024. Steve Evans and his family are losing £35K / month and a new Bovine Tb outbreak could mean the end for their business.
It's real farmers, real farming and real issues.
Time to join the brothers from across Europe our kid... everyone in the UK will support and join you ❤🇬🇧🚜🇬🇧
Last week I sold my dairy herd because I cannot cope with TB. It’s heartbreaking , we went TB clear and decided enough is enough and sold the cows while we were in control of their movements. The whole TB disaster is just barbaric and farmers should not have to put up with such a distressing situation.
Thank you for posting - We hope Steve's story will show people outside the world of farming just how incredibly hard it can be. ATB David
No problem let me know if I can be of help.@@FarmingBritainOfficial
A real life look at British farming. How do you sleep waiting for TB results when your entire life and the lives of those you employ, and the wider sector could be ruined. Due to politics
The world was made by hard working men and women, and ruined by men and women in suits.
After 40 years at sea I gave it all up to invest, and work on, a small organic farm. I honestly believe that farming has a future in the U.K. Bit it will not be a under the current world system.
What a fantastic channel! Definitely one I am happy to sign up to. 1000x better than country file and other, so called, farming shows.
And here in wales the goverment are suggesting cutting acres of farm land in order to plant trees! The damage that will do to farmers doesnt bare thinking of!
A great start guys , good show 👍👍🤠
Amazing Gareth, your new channel on TH-cam. I'm glad to be a dairy farmer and staying strong for the industry and what you are bringing home to many more. I hope 👍👍
Excellent content👍 We need something similar in Australia & here in New Zealand.
Brilliant, well done 👍

what a fantastic programme! hearing things about farming we don't normally get to see. Thank you for heartwarming content!
Great show. Shame the mainstream TV won’t have it. @eviegibbons foreverinwellies would be a great addition. Looking forward to the next show.
Charlotte is surely everyone’s favourite farmer. 😉
So it's like countryfile but with news about farming instead.
Cracking job team👍👍
Fantastic show guys so pleased to see you guys expanding your horizons into agricultural broadcasting. Keep it up.
spot on, 👍
Excellent new show & channel.
I started out in UK game keeping & farming back in the start of the 1980s. I moved on into electronics, them moved to Canada but I still stay interested & in contact with farming & keepering friends. I nowxwork with large equipment like excavators, loaders & skid steers... keep up the great work!
Fantastic 👍🏻🇬🇧
Absolutely brilliant new channel, head and shoulders above country file! Keep it up team!!!

Brilliant ❤
Great film well done every one involved
Thank you for your support. Best wishes, David
Hi Gareth, I hope you are OK. I love your programs what are we as farmers and a nation were the government are not going to listen they don't want to they are like the Robin Hood times steal from the poor and give to the rich that's what it's like now no one cares about everything in this country even though farming is thousands of years old. If I can help you and other youtube farmers get a voice or action over to this stupid government, feel like sqaring but I hold back iam here with you farmers I lost a dairy farm years ago and still fighting to be a farmer always a farmer its in your blood
Thankyou for your report .
A real video with real people and real issues. Very well filmed and edited. Having grown up on the family farm and moving away in a different direction as a machinery dealer. I now find myself with children who are keen to buy livestock for our new small farm, they consume every farming related video available and now want to put their own footprint down. I will certainly be pointing them towards these videos. Good luck with the channel.
Thank you - really appreciate it. ATB David
this is amazing!!
Great piece of filming and editing etc, well done everyone, this channel will grow fast!
Very enjoyable, and particularly enjoyed the news section 👍
Well done to all involved. Well put together, look forward to the next one.
Great show well done to all involved 👍
Really nicely produced show guys well done 🙌🙌
Loved it guys, look forward to more episodes 👍🏻
Congratulations. Great show👍👍
Would it be easier to push the muck up against the back wall of the collecting yard and scoop it up from there instead of using 2 machines and needing 2 drivers? Just a suggestion. Great video
Fantastic first show keep it up ❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️
Great program and educational to someone like me that has no real knowledge of farming.
Lovely Ponnies
Beautiful Wales

Another WEF grip on harming us. 😢😢😢
Yep. WEF and cohorts have been planning this potential global famine for decades. Our govts are riddled with members of WEF. Shame on them!
Love it 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Well done to all concerned 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
I have learnt so much already!
Wow! Brilliant programme! Stuff Contryfile!😤
Love to see it
Natural Resources wales and welsh labour have utter contempt for the Rural and Farming community and are out to destroy both.
👍👍👍👍👍
Diolch - subbed and on it
fandabidozi 👍
most of the fly tipping is from the traveling people they dont care about the countryside.
its heart brakes wih tb i know from shropsire
Those quads are banned in Australia too many bad & lethal accident on them brocken necks and such
When's the next one 🤷
find the cause of were the tb comes from.
Are the ponies microchipped? And can you DNA test them in any way to follow the breeding lines?
Price of tractors and machinery piss me off, I would like all farmers to stop buying new tractors and machinery for 6 months and bring the manufacturers to their knees.
It would have been nice to see what some of the prices were for that machinery, can't imagine how expensive they are. I'm not a farmer, but many years ago, I went to a Lamma near Newark, I think it was. It was a bit damp. I remember John Craven being there, doing a report on rural crime. There was a big tractor there all battenburged up. Saw John Ketley too, he used to be a weather man.
what is wrong with british farming.
goverment dont want farming in this country its cheaper abroad.
I didn’t like the Vegan segment
I am a Vegan and have been for over 40 years
People like me are not your Enemy
I care about Human Beings just as much as I care about Animal Welfare
Ethical Farming, Sustainable Farming and Food Security is very important to me too. I care about the Farming Community.
Just because I don’t eat meat doesn’t make me your foe. If we were to sit down you would find that we agree on most things. I just happen not to eat meat.
For the Record: Laboratory Grown Meat is not Veganism
That was a cheap shot
There are a lot of vegans who are incredibly strident. Plant-based diets are a personal choice. I was vegetarian for 30 years and it wrecked my health. I only realised after starting a carnivore diet and reversed 30 years of inflammatory diseases, disability and despair. Again, a personal choice, but it is becoming increasingly obvious that people like me need our farmers more than ever.
