Actually, Giorgio Moroder got there first, he had been releasing electronically created sounds and had his first hit "Son Of My Father" in 1972. Giorgio was the innovator, Cerrone kinda followed in his footsteps.
Supernature is only beaten by I Feel Love (Giorgio Moroder/Donna Summer) in my top 3 from 1977/late '70s. 'Funky Town' by Lipps Inc comes in at #3. Those were the top three dance floor fillers at the Crazy Daisy disco in Sheffield - known to history as the club where Phil Oakey of the then depleted Human League found the two girls, Suzanne and Joanne, for the new look, mega- successful Human League Mark II from the early 1980s.
