I am currently evacuated from my home from wild fires, that I know have gotten very close to my home, but I'm not sure if mine was one of the destroyed homes. Obviously I hope my home/stuff is fine, but when I think of all my stuff being burnt away I feel...lighter? I think that means I need to do some purging once I get back (assuming the fire didn't do it for me). Also I grabbed like 13 decks before I evacuated. So I legitimately know what decks I would choose if I had to pair down.
Oh, this was so good! Loved the sounds as you tossed them. . . and the real struggle in trying to get rid of decks. I love that you're not precious about it. :)
This is The funniest tarot video I've watched in ages! The Magician in this card is Jesus. Yeah, it's a boring deck. 😂 You guys, it's the Owl Tarot! I've been looking for this deck to get rid of it. 🤣😂🤣
I went through a whole binge of collecting decks for the last four of five years and now I’m feeling like I really need to declutter and purge some of them 😂 The struggle is real!
I love declutter vids so much bc it makes me feel better about keeping my own deck collection so small - the overwhelm anxiety is so real!! Also… do you have a video of all your deck bags you’ve made?? Each one was better than the last and gave me major inspiration to make my own!
You might have hoped for more "sayonara decks", but still: well done! You know, when I am decluttering whatever things amassed, then in the first round going through everything, I get rid of some things, and believe I "need" the rest, but then, when the decluttered things are out of the house for a week or 2, suddenly some of the rest seems to have less appeal to keep than it did when I still had "the worse stuff", and then I do a second round. After several rounds, which can take a few months, depending on how much stuff it is I have to go through multiple times, I'm reaching a point where I'm satisfied with the number of those things, not overwhelmed anymore, and then I can either do one more round to create space in case something comes in, or I can stop right there and enjoy what I have.
Omg the owls!!!! To you cheap to me majestic. I need that!!!! I haven’t forgot about doing a response video I just need memory transferred so I can upload it or to re-record it which I just won’t do
Alot of them, I don't have except for the Tarot of Owls, which is a keeper for me, but I also understand of it being to bright and '' cheesy'' to others, but is one of my favorite decks, I have but then again I don't have alot of Tarot Decks. Am more of an Oracle Deck kind of girl. Interesting Decks in your collection, and some you are getting rid of.😊
Motherpeace is the deck my mom used so it has sentimental value. She got it when it first came out and I remember her keeping it on a high shelf so we couldn't play with it lol
For fun, trim off the borders to your Margaret Peterson deck 😅 You always put a smile on my face and lighten my day with your humor. Thanks for making videos!
I haven’t used the Wild Unknown tarot since I saw a meme on the internet of the sun card being described as looking like a butt hole. I can’t unsee that now so can’t use it. Though I didn’t really use it anyway because I don’t like pips that much and the colour pops don’t save it. Maybe in the next video there’ll be more decluttering 😅 I really need to do this myself
I love your crochet bags for your cards. i wish I could crochet. I went through my tarot and oracle cards to declutter and ended up keeping all of them uggg even though I don't use them
Same. I have been reading Tarot since the late 80s using 2-3 decks. My collection has grown for the last 5+ years to a point where I'm wondering why I have so many (under 200 decks). I typically don't like collecting anything but books .... I'm missing the empty spaces
Some of these decks I’ve never seen before! I’ve been slowly getting rid of decks over the past year. Almost to the point where I’m happy and comfortable with my deck “library” or “collection” whatever we call it nowadays 😂
I adore the Ostara Tarot, it's been one of my favorites for years. And the Tarot of Owls - the bright colors remind me of 80s and 90s fantasy cartoons and I love that. But I'm weird. Thanks for this inspiring video! I've been getting rid of quite a few decks myself lately.
Great video. I feel you, I need to do the same thing. Do you have the link to the make playing cards deck you showed. "Cherry" in French? I can't find the deck on make playing cards.
Welp...😂 I also got rid of Aquarian. I couldn't believe anyone liked Heaven and Earth. I hate Ostara, Margarete Peterson, and I never understood the fascination for Mother peace. Owls Tarot is kinda garbage. This was really easy... for me.😅
I also have and never used the Tarot of Owls. The bright colors are way too bright for my dark soul 😂😂. It’s too cheery and bright. It would have been a good deck for a time before life really fucked with me. 😅😜 Now it just pisses me off.
I would absolutely buy your Aquarian deck with the bag and nothing else….also, love the Ostara tarot as a spirit communication deck. I have it and I enjoy it but I struggle to read with it.
thanks for this video! I will trade the Margaret Petersen light border for my dark purple border one that I own, I wanted to the light bordered one, it is brand new LMK 🙂
@MyTarotPages Many, including myself, would rather see cultures depicted by people of that culture, rather than a couple white ladies using it to make a buck. At the time it came out, people were happy to see it. Now, not so much
Ah yes, good to know. Speaking of which, I’m wanting to find a tarot deck created by indigenous folks, do you have any advice for how I might research for and find one? I would love to find a deck with a chunky in depth guidebook written by an indigenous author.
I’m still happy to see and use the Motherpeace Tarot, and know others are, as well. if you look through some of the more detailed guidebooks for Motherpeace, I don’t get the impression that they made it just for “a quick buck”. Also, I can think of other decks created now by people not of the culture depicted, and people don’t say anything about it.. to each their own :)
Like you, I never use my Motherpeace deck anymore. But I spent a couple years with a really good old book, studying it every day. Can't part with it, don't use it.
I've never laughed so much during a deck declutter. So fun and refreshing! The struggle is real...

@@ForestShadowWitch I'm so sorry to hear this 😢 I hope your home is okay, but I also understand the lighter feeling you're describing.

@@Azarika How the hell did I lose an entire deck?
@@tarotreadingsfromabitch It knew it was getting axed and hid away.
The deck pile collapsing right after you said you were ending the video was practically cinematic.
The first one you couldn't remember, it's the Mesquite Tarot. And yes, it is out of print. And like you, I only use it for myself.
YES. All I could think of was that it's named after a wood they smoke meat with 😭

Hi
Thanks for this review
What's the name of the Tarot you showed just following the OWL TAROT

OMG it's true -- Heaven and Earth Tarot is so boring! I'm also interested in using my Ostara tarot as a potential spirit communication deck now...
I would be interested in the Heaven and Earth! Do you have the book and box? Please let me know...
Liminal Spirits Oracle pairs well with the Green Witch Tarot. And with the Spacious Tarot.
Hell I have 20 and I don’t read for anyone but me….hahaha!!
It’s an art thing.
I love the pretty pictures….😂😂😂
